FOREWORD In 1944 the author of this essay published his volume "Who Is This King of Glory?" It stood as perhaps the most forthright and uncompromising critique of the fundamental tenets of Christianity that has been put forth up to that time, or even to the present. It assembled and correlated a vast body of documentary and factual data which, if it could not be successfully confuted, rendered the verdict of the non-historicity of the Gospel narrative and its central figure, Jesus of Nazareth, final and no longer controversial. Its thousands of readers are almost unanimous in the conviction that it closed the case beyond debate and on the negative side. In the wide sweep of its searching survey, all that hitherto had, in the general mind of religionists, been assumed to stand as solid historical substantiation of the physical life and exalted preaching of the Nazarene personage disappeared completely from view; or at any rate was seen as incompetent to testify in the category of historical evidence. While on the other side, the more minute the examination of the data adduced, the higher the mountain of evidence piled up in disproof. In fact, when the question was canvassed with the lens of a discerning knowledge of ancient esoteric practice and schematism in the inditing of religious literature, it was found that there was virtually no evidence that could be accredited as factually historical in support of the existence of Jesus. And just as surprisingly it was seen that all the evidence that could rate as historically authentic was marshalled on the contra side. In fine, all the evidence bore heavily against the thesis, and what had been assumed to be evidence for it vanished into the mists of allegory. This astounding determination of course found little acceptability in orthodox religious ranks. It seemed incredible that all Christian scholarship, all theological erudition, over some eighteen centuries could have been either unconscionably blind or hopelessly stupid, or consciously knavish, that it could either have totally missed the discovery of this glaring error, or could have successfully conspired to suppress the truth and permit the Christian system of beliefs based on the life of this dramatic character dominate the mind of the most progressive half of present humanity for nearly two millennia. There is no question but that this complication in what is undoubtedly the most significant and fateful item in the field of religious hypnotization in the Western segment of humanity is both supremely incredible and totally incomprehensible to the general mind. That one scholar, working almost alone and in obscurity, should now establish beyond dispute (though it will be disputed) what the learned gentry of the world had missed for so many centuries, is likewise a prediction that will not find credence anywhere. This observation, however, need not appear so exceptional a phenomenon, since the discoverer is ever the one who singly has come upon some secret, some great truth, that all the world has missed. It is the presupposition in all discovery. The debate is one that could hold the fate of our world in the balance. It would be difficult to adduce a general theosophical concept more fateful for the world (or the Occidental half of it) than the idea that man must discount his own powers, indeed surrender them abjectly, and look for his salvation to a power exterior to his own proper endowment, and not integral with that endowment, in all the crises in his history.

Christian theology from the start found itself impaled on its affirmation of the Biblical declaration that there is no other way to salvation than through the historical Jesus and him crucified. it was on this thesis logically confronted with the obligat.

Where was Jesus during the missing years of his life? Archaeologists, scholars and theologians discover proof of where Jesus was from the time he spoke in the Temple at age 12 until his decades later ministry in Judea. An ancient organization will kill to hide the truth. Excerpt from Chapter 1:The mystery began with a Vatican cardinal's journal entry which was transmitted to a trusted relative via the modern technology of a cellular phone. What was intended to be a private message was, without the cardinal's knowledge, read by spies of an ancient evil group and enemy of Christianity. The message read:My Dearest Serena, Last night I had a peculiar dream. So this is what the secret is. The missing link of Christianity. The lost information I have sought, again and again, to find. The Roman information. Jesus was in Rome. He spent much time here, long before he was murdered, not by his own people the Jews , but by Roman authorities. Jesus was never poor, and he was highly educated. His beliefs in equality, in helping people, in goodness, in the triumph of light over darkness, in healing, in teaching, in philosophy---made him an enemy of the Roman state. Jesus was murdered by the Romans because he was considered a political enemy of the state. The communication made its sender, Cardinal Philip Guerin, a target. Guerin was already an enemy of the Praetorian League because he headed the Vatican councils promoting inter-religious relations and ecumenical dialogue. His dangerous theory about Jesus in Rome threatened to upset the balance of good and evil in the modern world. "Who on earth is Serena St. Gabriel and how does Philip know her?" Praetorian supporter Cardinal Farnese asked his associates. "Apparently our dear cardinal's sister did not die buried beneath the avalanche our friends the Watchers of the Light caused 20 years ago in the south of France," an associate informed Farnese. "She was in a coma, kept alive by Professor Damon Luna of Rome who later came to be Grand Master of the Watchers. She awakened suddenly a year ago, lacking memories. Damon gave her a new name and identity, Serena St. Gabriel. He eventually told Cardinal Guerin the truth about his sister and they reunited last year in France. They are twins. Gemma is an archaeologist." "Wonderful," Farnese replied. All we need is her trying to help her brother prove Jesus lived in Rome." "Surely that is an impossible task, for it's not true." The messenger noticed that the cardinal suddenly refused to meet his gaze. Excerpt: "I am certain that this is one of the ancient synagogues of Rome, " Guerin said. He walked forward to a podium structure on which a codex rested. It was a record of the proceedings of the synagogue, open to the month of September, 17 A.D. Guerin read the words aloud:"The Teacher, a young beardless man of 17 named Jesus, who had been born in Bethlehem of Judea, came, spoke, and taught. He was introduced to us by teachers we knew and respected. Afterward he, and we, the congregation, shared a meal in the home of the mother and father of the synagogue, Junia and Andronicus, at this site. Jesus spoke of eternal salvation and life with God, the Father. He proclaimed that he was the Son of God. We knew of his having performed many miracles and healings in other parts of Rome and having taught in other synagogues and even in public in the Roman Forum. It was whispered that this man, this teacher, was the Messiah forecast by the prophets of old to save His people. Jesus told us that all people would be saved. There were pagan imperials who also joined us at the sessions when Jesus taught, and they, too, believed. It is said that he will be killed by the Romans but three days later, be raised from the dead."

The author is convinced that the early Byzantine Church deliberately cut out sections from an historic text to conceal the truth about the crucifixion of a man they were promoting as their Messiah. She solves the mystery by reconstructing the deleted sections. King pieces together what happened in Jerusalem during the trial and attempted crucifixion of the real Messiah and shows that the key passages that were tampered with are actually the missing link that connects the Dead Sea Scrolls to the New Testament Gospels. Using those passags and the history of the period, she identifies the figures mentioned in the Dead Sea Scrolls.

The title of this book is a play on the United Church of Christ’s “God Is Still Speaking” marketing campaign. I have sifted through two decades of sermon writing, which were primarily focused on the Gospels, to see how Mark’s Gospel portrays the still speaking voice of Jesus. The essays in this book work with some of Jesus’ most provocative words as related through the pen of Mark. But what meaning do these words carry in our world today? Are they practical and relevant for us? Is Jesus still speaking to us ... through the Gospel of Mark?

Based on the writings of Dr. Alvin Boyd Kuhn, The Mythical Life of Jesus Christ provides an interpretation of the Bible that shows the full, clear, and hidden meaning of ancient mythology and religion. It describes how the Bible is not a record of objective historical occurrences, but rather a collection of allegorical, mythical, dramatic, and symbolic sagas. Author Larry Marshall has compiled the writings of Dr. Alvin Boyd Kuhn, a lecturer, teacher, and scholar. Kuhn claims the roots of Christianity can be found in the Egyptian religion. Through his writings, Kuhn shows there is no historical evidence for Jesusthat his life is instead based on the Egyptian god Horus. He further claims that the New Testament of the Bible and its eventsthe virgin birth, the baptism, the temptations, the crucifixion, and resurrectionshould be interpreted allegorically. Marshall believes Kuhn has unlocked the essence of Christianity and, as a result, challenges the churchs fraudulent orthodoxy.

Have you met the real Jesus—the One who is wild enough to set you free? Too many people settle for relating to Jesus merely as a comfortable friend and companion, when what we all need is an untamed Savior, a fearless champion tough enough to conquer our shame and compelling enough for us to follow him without hesitation. I finally realized my caricature of Jesus wasn’t big enough to calm my anxiety or heal my wounds or defeat the wickedness in our world. Pretending Jesus is less than He is resulted in someone I wasn’t compelled to worship. So I began a journey to discover the whole Jesus—including the seemingly rough and wild parts—revealed in the Bible. And I found Him to be bigger and better than I ever dreamed. —Lisa Harper Through a powerful blend of storytelling and biblical insights, Lisa Harper invites you to engage with the Jesus of the gospels, a person so provocative that no one left an encounter with Him unchanged. Pharisees fumed, paralytics turned cartwheels, and pariahs found love and acceptance. Come meet the Jesus who is both safe and strong—and learn how this radical Redeemer can liberate you to live and love with abandon. Includes questions for group discussion or personal reflection.
