Many aerodynamic configurations are too complex to be represented by a single computational mesh. A multiple-mesh domain decomposition method called chimera has been developed to allow complex aerodynamic configurations to be modeled by a system of individually generated meshes, each representing a component of the overall configuration. The chimera approach requires the use of two computer codes, PEGSUS and a flow solver. PEGSUS calculates the interactions among the meshes and produces a file consisting of interpolation information that is used by the flow solver to obtain a global flow-field solution for the entire mesh system. This report documents the design and use of the latest version (4.0) of PEGSUS, and describes techniques for proper modeling of complex aerodynamic configurations.

This volume constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Applied Parallel and Scientific Computing, PARA 2012, held in Helsinki, Finland, in June 2012. The 35 revised full papers presented were selected from numerous submissions and are organized in five technical sessions covering the topics of advances in HPC applications, parallel algorithms, performance analyses and optimization, application of parallel computing in industry and engineering, and HPC interval methods. In addition, three of the topical minisymposia are described by a corresponding overview article on the minisymposia topic. In order to cover the state-of-the-art of the field, at the end of the book a set of abstracts describe some of the conference talks not elaborated into full articles.

The Serpent's Veil. The name itself whispers of secrets, of hidden agendas, and of power wielded from the shadows. This clandestine organization operates in the digital realm, manipulating reality with frightening precision using the most advanced AI and deepfake technology imaginable. Their goal? To destabilize international relations, erode trust in global leadership, and ultimately, reshape the world according to their own sinister design. Vivian Kane, a relentless investigator with a sharp mind and an even sharper instinct for danger, finds herself thrust into the heart of this conspiracy. What begins as a seemingly straightforward Arctic mission quickly spirals into a global chase, a desperate race against time to expose Operation Chimera, the Serpent's Veil's most ambitious and dangerous operation yet. Vivian's journey will take her from the icy wastes of the Arctic to the bustling technological hubs of Singapore, leading her down a rabbit hole of deception, betrayal, and unexpected alliances. She will confront not only the technological prowess of her adversaries but also her own moral compass, forced to make difficult choices in the name of justice. The line between right and wrong blurs as Vivian wrestles with the implications of fighting fire with fire, questioning whether the ends justify the means in a world increasingly dominated by manipulated realities. This is not merely a story of international espionage; it is a deep dive into the ethical implications of technological advancements and the human cost of manipulating truth. It’s a story about resilience, about the unwavering pursuit of justice in the face of overwhelming odds, and the enduring power of human connection amidst a world steeped in digital deception. Prepare to enter a world where reality is fluid, trust is a luxury, and the stakes are higher than ever before.

Chemical Vapour Deposition written by Anthony C Jones and has been published by Royal Society of Chemistry this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008-12-17 with Science categories.
Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD) involves the deposition of thin solid films from chemical precursors in the vapour phase, and encompasses a variety of deposition techniques, including a range of thermal processes, plasma enhanced CVD (PECVD), photon- initiated CVD, and atomic layer deposition (ALD). The development of CVD technology owes a great deal to collaboration between different scientific disciplines such as chemistry, physics, materials science, engineering and microelectronics, and the publication of this book will promote and stimulate continued dialogue between scientists from these different research areas. The book is one of the most comprehensive overviews ever written on the key aspects of chemical vapour deposition processes and it is more comprehensive, technically detailed and up-to-date than other books on CVD. The contributing authors are all practising CVD technologists and are leading international experts in the field of CVD. It presents a logical and progressive overview of the various aspects of CVD processes. Basic concepts, such as the various types of CVD processes, the design of CVD reactors, reaction modelling and CVD precursor chemistry are covered in the first few chapters. Then follows a detailed description of the use of a variety CVD techniques to deposit a wide range of materials, including semiconductors, metals, metal oxides and nitrides, protective coatings and functional coatings on glass. Finally and uniquely, for a technical volume, industrial and commercial aspects of CVD are also discussed together with possible future trends, which is an unusual, but very important aspect of the book. The book has been written with CVD practitioners in mind, such as the chemist who wishes to learn more about CVD processes, or the CVD technologist who wishes to gain an increased knowledge of precursor chemistry. The volume will prove particularly useful to those who have recently entered the field, and it will also make a valuable contribution to chemistry and materials science lecture courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
