This guidebook describes the 225km Walker's Haute Route between Chamonix and Zermatt, one of the finest of all Alpine treks. The longest stage is 7.5 hours of walking but several days are around 4 hours, and there are options for fit trekkers to amalgamate some of the less demanding days or take longer route options.
