The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1988, volume 1, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from January 3 through December 18, 1988. In 1988 Brother Lee spoke fifty-six messages that were published in the Life-study of Leviticus. These Life-study messages are not included in The Collected Works of Witness Lee. Brother Lee remained in Irving, Texas, during the first part of January 1988. He returned to Anaheim, California, in the middle of January and again traveled to Irving in February, where he remained until the first part of March. From then until the third week in March he visited Seattle, Washington; Vancouver, Canada; and Berkeley and San Jose, California. In the last week of March Brother Lee visited Spokane, Washington, and San Francisco, California, before he returned to Anaheim. In the first few days of April he visited San Jose for two days, and in the second week of April he flew to Taipei, Taiwan, and remained there until early June. He returned to Anaheim and remained there through the third week of July. In the remaining days of July he visited a number of cities in the San Francisco Bay Area, including Berkeley, Hayward, San Jose, Los Altos, and San Francisco, California. In early August he visited Spokane, and at the end of August he visited Seattle. In the last few days of August he visited Alhambra, California, and in September he traveled to Cleveland, Ohio, and Atlanta, Georgia. In early October Brother Lee visited Taipei for one month before traveling to Seoul, South Korea, and then back to Taipei, where he remained until the middle of November. He then returned to Anaheim and remained there until the middle of December. During his time in Anaheim he also ministered in Pasadena, San Gabriel, and Monterey Park, California. In mid-December he traveled to Irving and remained there through the early days of January 1989. The contents of this volume are divided into fourteen sections, as follows: 1. A message given in Irving, Texas, on January 3, 1988. This message is included in this volume under the title The New Way for the Lord's Recovery. 2. Six messages given in Chinese in Anaheim, California, on January 15 through 31. These messages were previously published in Chinese and English in a book entitled The Proper Way for Believers to Meet and to Serve and are included in this volume under the same title. 3. Four messages given in Anaheim, California, on January 21 through July 19. These messages are included in this volume under the title Fellowship with the Full-time Serving Ones concerning the Lord's Present Move. 4. Two messages given in Anaheim, California, on January 30 and October 1. They are included in this volume under the title Serving the Lord in His New Way to Raise Up Local Churches. 5. Twelve messages given in Irving, Texas, on February 22 through March 5. These messages were previously published in a book entitled Speaking Christ for the Building Up of the Body of Christ and are included in this volume under the same title. 6. Three messages given in Seattle, Washington, on March 11 through 13. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, Letters and Gleanings, volume 1, contains letters written by Brother Witness Lee from October 23, 1937, through October 15, 1994, and miscellaneous messages given from 1948 through 1964. The contents of this volume are divided into ten sections, as follows: 1. One hundred nineteen letters written to Brother Liu Suey on June 3, 1947, through October 5, 1981. These letters are included in this volume under the title Letters to Liu Suey. 2. Eight letters written to Brother Weigh Kwang-hsi (K. H. Weigh) on September 25, 1961, through October 3, 1974. These letters are included in this volume under the title Letters to K. H. Weigh. 3. Three hundred thirty-one letters written from an unknown date in 1948 through October 15, 1994, to various churches and individual saints; five letters written on April 20, 1967, through March 14, 1968, to Brother Carl Althaus; a letter written on February 8, 1992, to Brother Benson Phillips and all the full-time serving brothers and sisters in Moscow, Russia; a letter written on August 7, 1992, to the young brothers and sisters in the church in Moscow; and a letter written on January 29, 1993, to the saints who completed the first term of the full-time training in Moscow. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1988, volume 4, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from October 8, 1988, through January 29, 1989. In early October 1988 Brother Lee visited Taipei, Taiwan, for one month before traveling to Seoul, South Korea, and then back to Taipei, where he remained until the middle of November. He then returned to Anaheim, California, and remained there until the middle of December. During his time in Anaheim he also ministered in Pasadena, San Gabriel, and Monterey Park, California. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1990, volume 1, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from January 7, 1990, through June 18, 1991. In 1990 Brother Lee spoke forty-six messages that were published in the Life-study of Deuteronomy and the Life-study of Isaiah. These Life-study messages are not included in The Collected Works of Witness Lee. During the first three months of 1990 Brother Lee was in Anaheim, California. In early April he traveled to Taipei, Taiwan, and at the end of that month he visited Hualien, Taiwan. He returned to Anaheim in the first part of May and remained there until the end of the third week in August. During that time he visited Long Beach, California. At the end of August Brother Lee visited San Francisco, San Jose, and Berkeley, California. In early September he returned to Anaheim and remained there until the middle of October. During that period he briefly visited San Diego and San Bernardino, California. In the middle of October Brother Lee traveled to the Far East and remained there until the first part of November. During that period he visited Taipei and then Kota Kinabalu, Sibu, Kuching, and Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. In the middle of November he returned to Anaheim and remained there until the end of the year. The contents of this volume are divided into seven sections, as follows: 1. Twenty-four messages given in Anaheim, California, on January 7 through October 7, 1990. These messages are included in this volume under the title Various Anaheim Meetings and Fellowships. 2. Thirteen messages given in Anaheim, California, on January 9 through August 21, 1990. These messages are included in this volume under the title Bearing Remaining Fruit for the Lord's Pleasure. 3. Four messages given in Anaheim, California, on January 26 through 28, 1990. These messages were previously published in a book entitled God's Way in Life and are included in this volume under the same title. 4. Three messages given in Anaheim, California, on January 29 through June 16, 1990. These messages were previously published in a book entitled Instruction and Exhortation to the Trainees and are included in this volume under the same title. 5. Nineteen messages given in Anaheim, California, on February 6, 1990, through June 18, 1991. These messages were previously published in a book entitled The Triune God to Be Life to the Tripartite Man and are included in this volume under the same title. 6. Twelve messages given in Anaheim, California, on February 7 through June 13, 1990. These messages were previously published in a book entitled The Apostles' Teaching and are included in this volume under the same title. 7. Twelve messages given in Anaheim, California, on February 9 through June 15, 1990. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1981, volume 1, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee on January 19 through December 20, 1981. In 1981 Brother Lee spoke seventy-four messages that were published in Life-study of Exodus, Life-study of Philippians, Life-study of Romans, and Life-study of 1 Corinthians. These Life-study messages are not included in The Collected Works of Witness Lee. From the beginning of the year until the middle of July, Brother Lee ministered in Anaheim, California. He then visited Berkeley, California, on a weekend and returned to Anaheim, where he remained until the first few days of September. He then visited Bellevue, Washington, for a week and returned to Anaheim. Except for a one-day visit to Santa Ana, California, near the end of September, he ministered in Anaheim until the end of the first three weeks in October. From the last week in October until the end of November, he traveled to Seoul, South Korea; Hong Kong; Taipei, Taiwan; and Tokyo, Japan. He returned to Anaheim and ministered there until the end of the year. The contents of this volume are divided into twelve sections, as follows: 1. Five messages given in Anaheim, California, on March 12 through July 23. These messages are included in this volume under the title Fellowship with Serving Ones. 2. According to the available records, Brother Witness Lee ministered in Taiwan during the first half of 1956. In July he was in the Philippines. In August he traveled to Hong Kong, and he ministered there until early October before returning to the Philippines, where he remained until the end of January 1957. The contents of the ministry of Brother Witness Lee in 1956 are divided into three volumes. The first two volumes consist of his speaking in Taipei, Taiwan, in the first half of the year. The third volume is composed of his speaking in Taipei, his speaking in Hong Kong from August 15 to the first part of October, and his speaking in the Philippines until the end of January 1957. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1956, volume 1, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee in February through May 1956. Historical information concerning Brother Lee's travels and the content of his ministry in 1956 can be found in the general preface that appears at the beginning of this volume. The contents of this volume are divided into two sections, as follows: 1. Twenty-one messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, in February.
