The DH 106 Comet was the world's first commercial jet airliner. It was a revolutionary aircraft that changed the way people traveled and helped to usher in the jet age. The Comet was developed by de Havilland, a British aircraft manufacturer, in the late 1940s. The aircraft was designed to be a fast, efficient, and comfortable way to travel. It had a sleek, streamlined design and was powered by four de Havilland Ghost turbojet engines.
