There is much of human history which we don’t know due to lost records, the oceans covering our ancestor’s cities, natural disasters, and reasons we don’t know. There are also many anomalies which have been found showing ruins and objects from the far past which should not exist. Some of the Historical Facts this book is based on: Plato said that Atlantis was destroyed 9,000 years before his time in Greece. Plato lived in 433 B.C. which would have meant Atlantis was destroyed 9,433 years B.C. or 11,433 years before the current age. The Younger Dryas Period in History was between roughly 12,900 and 11,600 years ago according to paleontologists and archeologists. Many researchers think this period of climate change resulted from comets hitting the Earth at this time. The Vulture Stone at Gobekli Tepe which some scientists have interpreted as having a record of comets hitting the Earth about 11,000 B.C. My study on ancient history has led me to write a number of books on the topic which can be found on my website at this link: https://mkettingtonbooks.com/ancient-history.html The above facts and all of my research has led me to conclude that there were ancient world spanning civilizations which existed and were destroyed on the Earth in the 9,000 B.C. to 11,000 B.C period. There may have been earlier civilizations too, but the focus of this book is on that time period. The following chapters review some of the evidence of these ancient civilizations which existed at these same very ancient times.

An absorbing and enlightening adventure through time… This book tells the story of the ancient world from the Fourth Millennium to the Sixth Century BC. All the major civilizations are covered, from the Near East, Egypt and Mediterranean to the great river valleys of India and China and the coastlines of Mexico and Peru. The histories of these cultures have been woven into a compelling and compact narrative, illuminating this formative period and providing a context for the better-known classical era that followed. The Dawn of Civilization tells the story of the earliest kings and queens to grace the historical record, the rise and fall of the first empires, glorious battles, incredible innovations and colourful myths and legends from the works of Homer and the ancient religions. Discover the harsh and uncompromising world of vain Egyptian pharaohs, brutal Assyrian warlords and bloodthirsty barbarian hordes. Marvel at the awe-inspiring age of mystical Cretan priestesses, heroic warriors and earthly wonders such as the Egyptian pyramids and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Anyone who has not specialised in ancient history could be forgiven for thinking that nothing meaningful happened before the Fifth Century BC, when the western classical age is generally considered to have begun. However the civilized world existed and flourished for an incredible 3,500 years before the classical Greeks first came to prominence. Author Sean Ellerker provides a fresh perspective on antiquity by focusing solely on the ancient world before the rise of Greece and Rome, organising this remarkable period of history into a single volume. The Dawn of Civilization makes this fascinating and multifaceted era accessible to everyone. It is an ideal read for anyone interested in history, archaeology and the classics, including students of these subjects at school or university.

A bold reassessment of what caused the Late Bronze Age collapse In 1177 B.C., marauding groups known only as the "Sea Peoples" invaded Egypt. The pharaoh's army and navy managed to defeat them, but the victory so weakened Egypt that it soon slid into decline, as did most of the surrounding civilizations. After centuries of brilliance, the civilized world of the Bronze Age came to an abrupt and cataclysmic end. Kingdoms fell like dominoes over the course of just a few decades. No more Minoans or Mycenaeans. No more Trojans, Hittites, or Babylonians. The thriving economy and cultures of the late second millennium B.C., which had stretched from Greece to Egypt and Mesopotamia, suddenly ceased to exist, along with writing systems, technology, and monumental architecture. But the Sea Peoples alone could not have caused such widespread breakdown. How did it happen? In this major new account of the causes of this "First Dark Ages," Eric Cline tells the gripping story of how the end was brought about by multiple interconnected failures, ranging from invasion and revolt to earthquakes, drought, and the cutting of international trade routes. Bringing to life the vibrant multicultural world of these great civilizations, he draws a sweeping panorama of the empires and globalized peoples of the Late Bronze Age and shows that it was their very interdependence that hastened their dramatic collapse and ushered in a dark age that lasted centuries. A compelling combination of narrative and the latest scholarship, 1177 B.C. sheds new light on the complex ties that gave rise to, and ultimately destroyed, the flourishing civilizations of the Late Bronze Age—and that set the stage for the emergence of classical Greece.

This book demonstrates that Immanuel Wallerstein's reluctance to apply core and periphery to precapitalist transformations is a product of the way he views the luxury trade. It utilizes the study of different kinds of world-systems to explore how logics of social reproduction become transformed.

The most comprehensive reconstruction of the history and fate of the legendary ancient civilization of Atlantis • Draws together compelling evidence from geology, astronomy, myths, and ancient texts to prove the existence of Atlantean civilization and its catastrophic end • Includes a vivid narrative that re-creates the last days of Atlantis All human cultures, from classical and biblical to native North and South American, share the myth of an ancient deluge that often coincides with a rain of fire from the heavens. Now, in The Destruction of Atlantis, author Frank Joseph links this worldwide cultural phenomenon to the story of the lost civilization of Atlantis, which in a single day and night disappeared into the sea in a violent cataclysm. In the most comprehensive account of this legendary island, Frank Joseph provides compelling evidence based on 20 years of research around the globe that Atlantis was at the root of all subsequent human civilizations. Refuting modern skepticism, he provides evidence from archaeology, geology, astronomy, and ancient lore to prove the existence of Atlantean civilization in the context of Near Eastern Bronze Age society at the end of the 13th century B.C.E. He combines hard scientific evidence with a stunning and imaginative re-creation of what it must have been like to walk the streets of Atlantis in its last days. The resulting portrait of a mighty empire corrupted by an overreaching lust for wealth and power offers an important lesson to our own materialistic civilization.
