The Development Of Vibration Test Specifications For Spacecraft Applications written by G. H. Klein and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1964 with Space vehicles categories.

This document discusses the problem of developing vibration test specifications for flight vehicles from a broad engineering viewpoint. The specific steps related to the development of specifications are outlined, and the various procedures currently employed to accomplish each step are reviewed. The shortcomings of current procedures are then summarized with emphasis on the special problems posed by spacecraft applications. Finally, a logical implementation of state-of-the-art procedures to create efficient vibration test specifications for spacecraft is suggested and outlined. The problems associated with the suggested approach are discussed and areas in need of further study are noted.

Mechanical Vibration And Shock Analysis Specification Development written by Christian Lalanne and has been published by John Wiley & Sons this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-03-04 with Technology & Engineering categories.

Mechanical Vibration and Shock Analysis, Second Edition Volume 5: Specification Development This volume focuses on specification development in accordance with the principle of tailoring. Extreme response and the fatigue damage spectra are defined for each type of stress (sinusoidal vibration, swept sine, shock, random vibration, etc.). The process for establishing a specification from the life cycle profile of the equipment which will be subject to these types of stresses is then detailed. The analysis takes account of the uncertainty factor, designed to cover uncertainties related to the real-world environment and mechanical strength, and the test factor, which takes account of the number of tests performed to demonstrate the resistance of the equipment. The Mechanical Vibration and Shock Analysis five-volume series has been written with both the professional engineer and the academic in mind. Christian Lalanne explores every aspect of vibration and shock, two fundamental and extremely significant areas of mechanical engineering, from both a theoretical and practical point of view. The five volumes cover all the necessary issues in this area of mechanical engineering. The theoretical analyses are placed in the context of both the real world and the laboratory, which is essential for the development of specifications.

Miles Equation In Random Vibrations written by Jaap Wijker and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-01-25 with Technology & Engineering categories.

This book discusses the theory, applicability and numerous examples of Miles’ equation in detail. Random vibration is one of the main design drivers in the context of the design, development and verification of spacecraft structures, instruments, equipment, etc, and Miles’ equation provides a valuable tool for solving random vibration problems. It allows mechanical engineers to make rapid preliminary random response predictions when the (complex) structure is exposed to mechanical and acoustical loads. The book includes appendices to support the theory and applications in the main chapters.

Vibration tests were performed to develop and validate the forced limited vibration testing capability at the NASA Langley Research Center. The force limited vibration test technique has been utilized at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and other NASA centers to provide more realistic vibration test environments for aerospace flight hardware. In standard random vibration tests, the payload is mounted to a rigid fixture and the interface acceleration is controlled to a specified level based on a conservative estimate of the expected flight environment. In force limited vibration tests, both the acceleration and force are controlled at the mounting interface to compensate for differences between the flexible flight mounting and rigid test fixture. This minimizes the over test at the payload natural frequencies and results in more realistic forces being transmitted at the mounting interface. Force and acceleration response data was provided by NASA Goddard Space Flight Center for a test article that was flown in 1998 on a Black Brant sounding rocket. The measured flight interface acceleration data was used as the reference acceleration spectrum. Using this acceleration spectrum, three analytical methods were used to estimate the force limits. Standard random and force limited vibration tests were performed and the results are compared with the flight data. Rice, Chad and Buehrle, Ralph D.
