In 1999 he set up Adschool at the Media Design School, Auckland's internationally acclaimed course for aspiring young writers and art directors. In 2010 he returned to creative advertising, a job he now shares with his first love - storytelling. In advertising he has won a number of awards including The 2nd Best Radio Commercial Of All Time (Kodacolor Gold) and a Lifetime Achievement Award in the NZ AXIS Advertising Awards 2011.
