I loved her inasmuch as day one and when day two came I married her, on day three she made me a gallant father to three beautiful kids. On day four we sat on our porch and watch our grand children play hide and seek. When day fi ve arrived she planted a kiss on my lips before she fl oated up the sky. On day fi ve and a quarter my heart could no longer exist a second without saliva from a soul mate, when day fi ve and a half and seven seconds came, I accepted her hands for a prom dance in heaven.. Now every morning we lay under our fi rst date bridge with anticipation we watch legend sun rise with a kiss.

The object of this book is the name of the Christian God in Chinese language. Taking a text of a 17th Chinese Christian author as his starting point, Standaert focus only on the names of Shangdi, Tian and Tianzhu. Anyone attempting inculturation in Chinese culture might benefit from reading the writings of the 17th century Chinese Christians. For these writings also convey an implicit answer to the question: how to express the Christian faith and experience when entering Chinese culture? These 17th century Chinese Christians faced some fundamental questions that still exist today. Questions like: Who is God and how can God's name be expressed in Chinese? Why was Jesus Christ not born in China? What is sin and how can it be remitted? Dialogue with these fundamental questions and with the answers they gave can be a help for inculturated theology today.

Ali Sina, a great expert of Islam, wrote about this book: This is a great book. I read the first thirty pages and I could not stop. This book must be translated in all languages and become available to all Narrating the story in the gripping way of a good novel, it tells about Muhammad, his believer and unbeliever tribal relatives, the Qur'an, and the Arabian society of the period as truthfully and originally as the oldest Arab records make it possible. It does not fail to shock and surprise when one finds that during his twenty-three years of apostolate, Muhammad arranged for banditry raids, secret assassinations, ransom taking, kidnappings, slave trading, ethnic cleansing, inter-tribal wars, and murderous expeditions. Of these raids, the number of well recorded and documented, discussed by the Qur'an itself, is thirty-eight. Muhammad personally took part in twenty-seven raids and battles in nine of which he was directly engaged in killing. These were the battles of Badr, Uhud, Ahzaab, Hunayn, and Ta'if, the massacres of the Qurayza and the Khyber Jews, the surprise raid on the Mustalaq, and the occupation of Mecca. History tells us that many kings started as bandits and came to rule vast territories. If Muhammad had claimed that he was a king, one could place him amongst the greatest of kings but the surprise lies in his claim that he was God's most favourite and final prophet. If prophets were to kill and plunder, sell slaves, hold captives for ransom, allow rape of slave women, and develop systems of extortion, how does one differentiate between a Godly man and a king?

This Amazon NUMBER 1 BESTSELLING BOOK (Genealogy) tells the engaging story of when our surnames first came into use, why they were necessary and how people acquired them. After spending decades writing and researching the history of names, William Lewis presents in ‘What’s in your Surname?’ a journey through the quite diverse origins of English surnames citing hundreds of examples along the way. Although the book of Esther contains no direct references to God, his fingerprints can be found all over it. In God Behind the Scenes, Wayne K. Barkhuizen helps us trace the unseen hand of God throughout the Esther narrative, while pointing out how the book is still relevant today. As we walk through the book, we’ll see how God was indeed active in preserving the people through whom the Messiah, Jesus Christ, would one day come.
