The Human Primer illuminates our most basic common denominators for being human. Everything you will ever think, feel or do distills down to the same exact common denominators regardless of where you are being human on our planet. Location doesn't matter. Culture doesn't matter. Race, gender and age don't matter. We must all be human. Knowing how to be human is the greatest knowledge anyone can possess and it is identical for us all. If you are human, you might find it useful to know how you are being human. It is really that simple. All the mainstream sciences have discovered the impact humans have on human biology, chemistry, DNA and the quantum level. When we make a decision (free will) we can now see and measure that impact. We have always been, always will be and currently are impacting ourselves and the planet. It is time we all learned HOW we are doing it. The Human Primer explains the "How" through a cast of characters. There is Grandpa, Mom, Cousin Gene, Bubba, Goober and a cast of party animals. All members of the "The Atoms Family" - your family. As you will see, your entire worldview changes when the Atoms Family shows up. Discerning today's rhetoric, disinformation, propaganda and bias can be a daunting task. The Human Primer provides a new lens to distill your observation, assessment and buy-in skills down to a very simple filter.... by inviting the Atoms Family to the party. When the Family shows up, you will realize all sources of persuasion asking you to adopt their views and ideas to hate, anger and fear are really asking you to throw your family under the bus tires! Should you buy into their negative disposition, you will cause your cells to stop reproducing, deteriorate your immune system, cause your DNA to react, affect your body chemistry and most importantly cause your own energy field to go negative which affects "Mom" - the electromagnetic field around the planet. This new lens illuminates the intended outcome and effect caused by the idea they are selling (bus tires)... so you simply opt out. It will become obvious that every free-willed moment in your daily existence is either making MOM happy or not. "If Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy" is actually true. Seven billion people on the planet are doing exactly the same thing using their locally-sold justifications to throw their families under the bus and affect Mom... positively or negatively. The resulting demeanor of Mom's frequency is measurable. This is Human Primer knowledge. It is just the science underneath it all. It is time you met the Atom's Family.

This introductory book for undergraduate students poses a question: What is bioengineering all about? After offering a reference frame and defining the objectives (chapter 1), “physiology” (chapter 2) is presented as a source material followed by “signals” (chapter 3) and “signal pick up” (chapter 4). Chapter 5 deals with the biological amplifier. Reading the signal and the need for mathematical models are the subject matter, respectively, of chapters 6 and 7; they only provide guidance. The last chapter tries to look ahead. Sometimes, the subject is treated in relative depth; at times, the visit is more superficial. Formation rather than information is favored. Historical shots supply background material and spicy insights. Style is light, sprinkled with a little humor. There are exercises which allow students to learn independently.

A Primer of Human Genetics is an introductory textbook designed to give students the foundation they need to understand and appreciate the extraordinary shifts in human genetics that have accompanied the arrival of genomics. The book lays out the key concepts of human evolution, quantitative genetics, and personalized medicine before describing the tools that are missing from most contemporary textbooks: genome-wide association studies, whole-genome resequencing, gene expression and epigenome profiling, and integrative genomics. The final section provides an up-to-date survey of specific findings in six major domains of human disease: immunological, metabolic, cardiovascular, cancer, neuropsychological, and aging disorders. After reading this textbook, not only will students be better equipped to read current literature, they will gain a sense of the impact that the revolution in genomics has had for our understanding of the human condition, as well as of the major trends in human genetics research. Students are assumed to have a core understanding of genetics such as would be obtained in a general genetics class. Each chapter is approximately 20 pages long, and organized under up to ten sub-headings, most of which incorporate an illustrative figure. Chapter summary points recap the key messages, and references point students to key reviews and contemporary highlights. Several of the chapters contain a single box, which provides extra material on topics such as 'Consent and Responsible Conduct of Research' and 'Methylation Analysis in Biology.'

Dr. Hollander is a very straight forward speaker/writer. His approach is very specific and task oriented in order to provide a clear process to the student/family/reader. His examples are clear, factual, even at times a bit dramatic. Because he is a firm believer in a data based approach, he generates a great deal of documentation to illustrate progress. When not generating the amount of success he anticipates, he has a clear method for making constructive changes to the process to bring about the success.

Human Rights: A Primer breaks new ground in clarifying for undergraduates the international significance of human rights. This new edition highlights current and recent developments, using themes familiar to undergraduates. For example, Americans are increasingly aware of the growing disparities in economic well-being. It is indeed a crisis that is global and national. Because this book focuses on globalization and human rights as intertwined, readers will gain a comprehensive understanding of the role of neoliberal capitalism in undermining human rights (dignity, security, and well-being). Major works by Thomas Piketty and Joseph Stiglitz are discussed, along with recent upheavals in Greece, and the rising tide of refugees in Europe and North America. Furthermore, powerful forces that will increasingly test global solidarity and the future of the planet relate to the extent that countries and peoples cooperate in combating global warming and promoting sustainable development goals (SDGs). Key dates for both these issues occurred in the second half of 2015 – the UN Sustainable Development Summit in September and the Paris Climate Conference (COP21) in December. The significance of both conferences for human rights is discussed in this new edition.

Computers have become an essential component of modern biology. They help to manage the vast and increasing amount of biological data and continue to play an integral role in the discovery of new biological relationships. This in silico approach to biology has helped to reshape the modern biological sciences. With the biological revolution now among us, it is imperative that each scientist develop and hone today’s bioinformatics skills, if only at a rudimentary level. Bioinformatics Methods and Protocols was conceived as part of the Methods in Molecular Biology series to meet this challenge and to provide the experienced user with useful tips and an up-to-date overview of current developments. It builds upon the foundation that was provided in the two-volume set published in 1994 entitled Computer Analysis of Sequence Data. We divided Bioinformatics Methods and Protocols into five parts, including a thorough survey of the basic sequence analysis software packages that are available at most institutions, as well as the design and implemen- tion of an essential introductory Bioinformatics course. In addition, we included sections describing specialized noncommercial software, databases, and other resources available as part of the World Wide Web and a stimul- ing discussion of some of the computational challenges biologists now face and likely future solutions.

Human Behavior written by Anthony C. Hollander and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-06-29 with categories.

Just what the world needs is a new book on human behavior. So this book has to be somehow quite different than all of the other books. There are several aspects of this book that will make it very different from any other book that you've seen before. The first most important aspect is that this book presents a theoretical point of view that has a defined beginning, middle and an end. Another aspect of this book that's very different is the emphasis on measurement of performance. A third aspect that makes this book different is a clear method for both the analysis of human behavior, and because you can analyze human behavior it makes treatment of aberrant or maladaptive human behavior that much easier. Another aspect that makes this book unique is that it provides a schematic representation that makes both the conceptual organization of the information, and subsequent use of said information much easier. So it is my sincere wish that this book represents something brand-new, and not simply a reiteration of other peoples work.
