This book concerns the pursuit of wisdom in education, and the argument that wisdom – personified here as Sophia – is tragically marginalised or absent in current Western epistemological discourses. It includes a review of key historical and classical framings which have lost much potency and relevance as certain cultural narratives hold sway; these include the reductionist, technicist and highly instrumentalist discourses which shape the articulation and delivery of much education policy and practice, whilst reflecting similar troubling framings from broader neoliberal perspectives. Fraser argues that wisdom’s marginalisation has had, and continues to have, profoundly deleterious consequences for our educative practices. Through a compelling combination of narrative and autoethnographic techniques, while also drawing on philosophical and cultural traditions, the book pushes at the boundaries of emerging knowledge, including how knowledge is generated. For many years as a Christian, I never thought too much about the importance of studying the Wisdom literature, such as book of Proverbs, Job, and Eccelestic. In fact, I would conveniently skipped over the entire Wisdom literature books, especially Proverbs. Learning more, praying for, and seeking Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge was not on my priority list. I did not know Proverbs gives you insight of living a life to please God. This comes through WUK, Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge.However, in my continued walk with the Lord, I sensed He wanted more from my life. I believed I had neglected getting to know Him in His fullness. There was more to learn about His presence and power.I started seeking, praying and asking for the Holy Spirit presence and power to grant Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge. In my search to get to know Him better, I realized my life was filled with decisions, choices and judgment calls made in the flesh -not under the Holy Spirit's direction and guidance. I realize the aftermath/the consequences of my choices - I quickly repented-turn away from "doing it my way" and turn to God-crying out to give me Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge.I became desperate (example: crying at the drop of a hat) in getting to know the Holy Spirit better. Now, since I know Him better-it is up to me and others to help others know the precious and powerful Holy Spirit (better).This is the purpose of writing my WUK book. We have a right to walk in Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge and expect Victory at all times.We have a right to expect Victory in our life; but we must do it God's way. God's way is through Wisdom, Understanding, and Knowledge. Proverbs and other books of Wisdom is to our life and how we have overlooked them in our study.One of the greatest tragedies in the Body of Christ is the failure for Believers to live (by) and (through) Godly Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge in every situation that concerns His people. This unique book provides a pattern for living that will honor God and recognize in human society.This book tells us the wise are simple learner, both from punishment of wicked men and from prosperity of good men tells us about Wisdom. Proverbs is written as a personal behavior, which has the thrust of wisdom of moral conduct.Proverbs encourages us to be courageous and resolute and this is done by wisdom to do greater things than others can accomplish.In Bob Yandian's book, Proverbs, Principles of Wisdom, he asserts in his study, Proverbs chapter 3, we see Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge appearing quite often. Wisdom (Hebrew Chok-mah) actually has to do with pounding something in.In order to have the wisdom of God, it is necessary to pound in knowledge in. In order to have the wisdom of God, it is necessary to pound in knowledge into your head and heart. A Believer must read, study and meditate in God's word day and night-night and day. The more you meditate, the more you pound in. This type of wisdom is the kind which comes from applying the Word of God to the experiences of life.His study continues to reveal Proverbs is more than just a collection of sayings. They are the very wisdom of God expressed in the everyday language of people.
