For thousands of years mankind has been enslaved. For the longest time real chains were used to enslave us. In modern times, the forces that be evolved from using real chains to invisible chains. After thousands of years of wars, famine, plagues, disease, and man’s inhumanity to both man and other life forms on the planet, is humanity finally ready for an evolutionary step? A step that will dissolve the invisible chains that enslave us. After a lifetime of research, Mr. Brown has gathered together the keys to our past that he believes will unlock the next evolutionary steps. His research covers the clues left throughout history in mythology, religions, and philosophy. He explains why we are where we are today. Then he examines some of the many ways we can recover our humanity and evolve as he believes we were intended. The next evolution will not be through wars to conquer other nations or people, but rather a dramatic shift in the way humanity thinks.

"Trapped in the Valley of Despair" is brutally honest in its approach to giving a frank and unbiased look at America. While slavery was an aberration, the years immediately after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation were not much better. Some might even say they were worse. This book chronicles the lives of a Black family from the late 1940's up through the 1970's. Those were painful years for Blacks and other people of color, but most of them somehow persevered. Some even managed to thrive during that era even though they faced prejudice, racism, and discrimination in a society filled with double standards based primarily on the color of one's skin. To say otherwise would be both unfair and disrespectful to the people who survived the hardship they were forced to endure each and every day of their lives. My book honors those who made it, and those others who lost their lives helping to pave the way for many of us to enjoy the lives we have today. It also stresses the importance of hanging on and never giving up, if for no other reason than to see what the end is going to be.

I am a living proof that God can qualify those he calls. God can use any one that is willing and ready to be used by him. Throughout my life, he has been so faithful to me. I failed him so many times, but he never failed me once. I wanted to serve him on a broader level. So I asked my heavenly Father to please use me in the way that he knows best. I was pleasantly surprise when he suggested to write this little book, Unseen Hands That Lead the Way. His voice and guidance were so very clear to me. And his presence was so real. I have never experienced the presence of God in such a profound way as when I was writing this book. It drew me in a deeper relationship with the one that I love so very much, and that is my precious Lord Jesus. This little book means so much to me because I can share the love of God with those I don’t know or will never meet this side of heaven. If I had a thousand tongue to speak with, it would still not be enough to express my gratitude for the one who left the splendor of heaven, to come to this cesspool of sin, and to save a wretch like me. Oh, how I love him so. But it is my holy and precious Jesus that loves me even more. This book is not about Pearly Stanley. It is all about the love of God for me. I pray it blesses you the same way that it blessed me.

There are more than 40 million enslaved people in the world today. This is overwhelming. A number so large leaves us asking, What could I even do to help? In his book Vulnerable: Rethinking Human Trafficking, Raleigh Sadler, president and founder of Let My People Go, makes the case that anyone can fight human trafficking by focusing on those who are most often targeted. This book invites the reader to understand their role in the problem of human trafficking, but more importantly, their role in the solution. Human trafficking can be defined as the exploitation of vulnerability for commercial gain. Using the power of story and candid interviews, Sadler seeks to discover how ordinary people can fight human trafficking by recognizing vulnerability and entering in. As vulnerable people, we can empower other vulnerable people, because Christ was made vulnerable for us.

This is the story of a handful of men, led by Thomas Clarkson, who defied the slave trade and ignited the first great human rights movement. Beginning in 1788, a group of Abolitionists moved the cause of anti-slavery from the floor of Parliament to the homes of 300,000 people boycotting Caribbean sugar, and gave a platform to freed slaves.
