If you have ever had a boss you did not care for, you will appreciate The Jacksonville Norsemen Society or Tyranny and Reprisal, a fictitious story about two rival social clubs: the Jacksonville Jackalopes comprised of the upper crust business owners and the Jacksonville Norsemen Society (a good old boys club) comprised of the working man and woman. The friction between the two clubs focuses on a large horn that hangs on the porch of the Jacksonville Norsemen Societys Lodge. The horn is used to call out and inform the members when the lodge is open. The Jackalopes detest the horn and have made several unsuccessful attempts to buy, steal or outlaw the use of it. Finally, out of desperation, the Jackalopes decide to infiltrate the Norsemen with one of their own. The infiltrator is to encourage the Jacksonville Norsemen to use credit. Once the debt load is so high that there is no way they can pay the bill the Jackalopes will foreclose and shut down the Jacksonville Norsemen permanently and get rid of that horn! Mr. Demand Deville, the owner of the Mountain High Chemical Company, which employs a large percent of the Jacksonville Norsemen, who rules his business like a tyrant, volunteers to use his clout to force entry into the rival club. The Norsemen reluctantly agree to allow a six month trial membership for Mr. Deville after an initiation. In the meantime, the Norsemen get wind of the developing plot the Jackalopes have named Operation Sink the Norsemen. Rather than canceling the entry of Mr. Deville, they decide to use the initiation as a way to get even. Not only for the dirty trick planned by the Jackalopes, but for all of the years of his tyranny. Revenge can be so sweet. What would you do to your boss if you thought you could get away with it? Climb on board and enjoy the ride.

Howdy, I am Orlo James Goodson. You may have read one of my other books, the Jacksonville Norseman Society or The Scorpion. I would like to tell you about another one of my stories Abducted. In my reading I found this quote from Bob Lazar a former Government Scientist who worked at S4 near area 51 in southern Nevada. Obviously the ET craft do exist, something had to build them. So their must be aliens and since there are and the craft are there. There must be some sort of factory and an entire civilization somewhere, and if in fact that is true and it apparently is, then there must be others. Bob Lazar Former Government Scientist. One of the greatest fears faced by any parent is the fear of one of their children being abducted. Imagine that your child has been abducted and you are an eye witness to a strange craft lifting off the ground with your child inside, it goes straight up disappearing into the star studded night sky. You call for help, you tell the truth, but no one believes you. You are accused of killing your child, you go to jail, lose your job, your spouse divorces you, and you go to court for murder. You are acquitted through strange circumstances. In order to retrieve your child from among the stars and to clear your name, your only hope is to do what cant be done at a place that doesnt exist. You must steal an alien ship you know is held on a secret military base in the deserts of Southern Nevada. Once you acquire the ship, before you can go after your child you must out smart an ultra secret government organization that is determined to stop you. After you step off the planet in search of your child among the stars, you encounter a race of cold blooded hateful reptilian aliens that consider you and your child to be animals to be experimented on or a source of food. The Scorpion takes place in the near future in a day where when you die, they take your brain and hook it up to a computer giving it the ability to think like a human with the speed and accuracy of a computer. The Scorpion, a USS starship, comes back to Earth to get a new brain because the old one has gone senile. Upon returning to Earth the Captain of the Scorpion is informed that they must head out by the end of the week, with or without a brain, on a rescue mission to save two scientists and their families who have been studying the collapse of a sun into a black hole. The scientists have been there three years. Their inter space shuttle has been destroyed and the sun is collapsing inward. The only ship close enough and fast enough to have any hope at all of getting there on time, is Scorpion. And even then it’s marginal. At the last minute a brain is found and installed but the brain is drunk so it is hooked up all but the main plug while they wait for the brain to sober up. Meanwhile the Scorpion gets underway. The captain falls in love with a new recruit. There is a stowaway and they come across an enemy flattop that is breaking up in space. They rescue the survivors. The brain is functioning perfectly. Everything seems to be going just fine.Due to the high alcohol levels of the brain, the program to obey orders did not hold. Unbeknownst to the Captain and the crew, the Scorpion has a new master. One that holds grudges. One that plots and schemes working to fulfill an agenda of its own. Using a disgruntled officer who felt that he should be in command, along with the rescued crew members of the Kobon flattop, and the ship’s own onboard robots, hell is about to break loose on board the USS Scorpion.

To mark the 100th anniversary of its creation, Penguin are publishing the Centenary Collection, a series of six classic books highlighting the skill, heroism esprit de corps that have characterised the Royal Air Force throughout its first century. Anglo-American James Goodson's war began on Sept 3rd 1939, when the SS Athenia was torpedoed and sank off the Hebrides. Surviving the sinking and distinguishing himself rescuing survivors, Goodson immediately signed on with the RAF. He was an American, but he wanted to fight. A New York Times bestseller and “a brilliant and bracing analysis” (Mark R. Levin) of Donald Trump, his presidency, and his vision of America’s future—now updated for 2024 In The Case for Trump, award-winning historian and political commentator Victor Davis Hanson explains how a celebrity businessman with no political or military experience triumphed over sixteen well-qualified Republican rivals, a Democrat with a quarter-billion-dollar war chest, and a hostile media and Washington establishment to become an extremely successful president. Trump alone saw a political opportunity in defending the working people of America’s interior whom the coastal elite of both parties had come to scorn, Hanson argues. And Trump alone had the instincts and energy to pursue this opening to victory, dismantle a corrupt old order, and bring long-overdue policy changes at home and abroad. After decades of drift, America needed the outsider Trump to do what normal politicians would not and could not do. Now updated for the 2024 election with a comprehensive new introduction, this is the essential book on what Donald Trump means for America.

G H Q Montreuil Sur Mer written by Frank Fox and has been published by PHILIP ALLAN & CO., this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on with categories.

G. H. Q. (Montreuil-Sur-Mer) That fantastic life at G.H.Q., so greatly detached from the normal—the life of the men whose words had power to send Armies into and out of action, to give this Division rest and surcease from the agony of the struggle, to assign to that Division the stress of a new effort; the men into whose hands the nation poured millions without stint and at whose call the whole world moved to spin or dig or forge—will it be of interest now to recall some of its memories, to attempt an intimate picture of its routine? Fantastic the life was truly. One man of imagination, who had done his work in the line so well as to win a reputation for great courage and administrative ability, and had carried through with a quiet skill and a simple dutifulness the responsibilities of the "small family" of a regiment, found, when he was transferred to G.H.Q., that the sense of responsibility was too great for his temperament. He was not a very important cog of the machine. But the feeling that the motion which his hand started set going so great a series of actions got on his nerves to the extent that he could neither sleep nor eat with comfort, nor decide the simplest matter without torturing doubt as to whether it were right or wrong. He "moved on" within a few days. Fortunately that sense of vision was rare. The average man was content to "carry on" with his task with what good judgment Heaven gave him, deciding as the established routine, or the common-sense shift of a new emergency, dictated. But looking back, reflecting on all the woeful results that might have sprung from a careless blunder, from too great haste, from too deliberate hesitation, from over fear or over confidence, it is to be seen how fantastic, how abnormal was the life centred in that little walled town of Montreuil, the focus of a spider's web of wires, at one end of which were the soldiers in their trenches, at the other the workers of the world at their benches. Yet we ate, drank, slept, played a little and talked, very much as if we were workers in some commercial house, directing coffee from a plantation to a warehouse and then to a breakfast table, instead of dealing in blood and tears, drawing without stint on human life and human hope so that the idea of Right and Liberty might be saved in the world. It is well that Imagination went to sleep, or was lacking. For so the work could be done and the war directed to its safe conclusion. But a record of the life we lived seems now, in retrospect, almost indecorous. It is as if we should not have munched food, talked trivialities, while before our eyes and under our hands was played out the greatest tragedy Man has known; as if it would have been more fitting if we had gone from uneasy couches, tight-lipped and anxious, to our desks, haunted always by a sense of doom.
