She felt no one else loved her or felt she deserved to have good people in her life, so she went after the bad ones and she found them. After years of living in emotional pain, she felt there had to be more out there; that she could have a life she had always dreamed of. She turned to God, asking him to take control and let her find true love before she died. God did just that. He brought Derrick back after all of those years of being apart. Derrick showed her that she was beautiful and that she deserved the best in life. Finding him caused her to come to life again. This time, she wasn't going to let anything get in her way.
