The Nine Eyes of Light is an exploration into multidimensional being. This is the light-body guidebook for the spiritual traveler. The Nine Eyes, also known as Ascension Keys, are the nine levels of consciousness that served as the foundation for Egypt’s awakened civilization. Deeply relevant for navigating our tumultuous times today, these multidimensional perspectives, or lightbodies, reveal how to further understand and develop our consciousness. In practice, many of us are using some of these bodies already, but not all of them, because we have lost sight of our higher potential. These other bodies, says Prakasha, allow us to sense, navigate, and unify all parts of our human and divine selves. The book shows readers how to experience the universal bodies of light; how to access hidden wisdom about Anubis, a pre-Christ figure and original Sphinx; and how to open and purify the heart through the 42 Laws of Harmony, or Ma’at. Chapters include teachings on the science of vibration, sound, and perception; willpower, bliss, and the fuel for love; god consciousness; the shadow as a gateway to source, and much more. The Nine Eyes unite the mind, body, and spirit in loving wisdom and power.

In this 10th Anniversary Edition of her popular text, Sonia Nieto reviews where we have been and where we should be going in our pursuit of creating multicultural learning communities in our schools. With a new Introductory Chapter and a new Epilogue, Nieto addresses some of the changes we have experienced during the past decade that help explain the current sociopolitical environment—our increasing diversity, the altering conditions in schools and in society, the influence of poverty on learning, and the impact of NCLB on classrooms and schools. This updated edition of The Light in Their Eyes: Focuses on the significant role of teachers in transforming students’ lives. Considers recent theories, policies, and practices about the variability in student learning and culturally responsive pedagogy. Examines the importance of student and teacher voice in research and practice. Provides an update, in their own words, on former students whose journal entries were included in the first edition. “In search of a critical community, Sonia Nieto combines respect for what children bring to school with a desire to awaken each one and tap into their passion for learning. This classic work radiates with the sensitivity Sonia Nieto is known for in all her work.” —Maxine Greene, Professor Emerita, Teachers College, Columbia University Praise for the First Edition! Today, millions of men, women, and children, throughout the World, depend upon glasses. To the very many who ask, as did the Author thirty years ago, when he too was very shortsighted, `need such things be?' this book is of outstanding interest. Written in simple words for the laity, who are entitled to an understanding of their eyes, this book is also of profound importance to the ophthalmic and optical professions. It solves many of the problems of why eyes, normal at birth, develop refractive errors. It also introduces methods for the prevention of Cataract and Glaucoma, as well as rational treatment of these diseases. The universal prescription of glasses to-day is based upon an 'hundred years old' theory that astigmatism is congenital, that shortsighted eyes are permanently too long, and longsighted eyes too flat, and that all adjustments of focus for near vision depend solely upon the small natural lens inside the eye incessantly changing its curvature and strength. In contradiction, however, the Author has proved, and depicts, with the aid of simple diagrams, that astigmatism is caused by irregular muscular tension on the pliable eyeball, and that normal eyes involuntarily lengthen to produce 'natural shortsight' for near vision, automatically return to an 'at rest' condition for distance vision, and arc mechanically capable of flattening for extreme distance vision or very longsight. These natural processes, and their activation, are simply explained, and clearly indicate that developed irregular shapes of the eyes are capable of correction, and are not static unless so maintained by the wearing of glasses. Methods of scientific correction, evolved by the Author and named 'Oculopathy', are briefly indicated. The Author demonstrates that irregular muscular tensions, productive of refractive errors, also largely contribute to the development of Cataract and Glaucoma.
