Ulrich Burkholder was born in about 1706 in Switzerland. He married Esther Shearer and they had eight children. They immigrated to America and settled in Pennsylvania. Ulrich died in 1786 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Ontario and Illinois.
