Hope is an interesting thing. Some think it’s foolish, often misplaced, and at rarer times devastating; but more agree that hope is an integral and beautiful part of life, something that implicitly makes us human. We’re always hoping for something—for change, for improvement, or to find peace of mind amid life’s bustling demands. These things are often the subjects of our deepest desires, those things that can bring us true happiness. Fortunately for all of us who count ourselves among the hopeful, there has been plenty of wisdom bestowed from some of the greatest minds and noteworthy individuals throughout history, including: Albert Einstein Albert Camus Barack Obama Benjamin Franklin John Lennon George Bernard Shaw Abraham Lincoln And many others! The Little Red Book of Hope is an inspired collection of uplifting thoughts about what it is that allows us to persevere; about the primacy of the human spirit, and ultimately, about the redemptive power and vitality of hope.

The initial publication covered 23 topics with 200 selected quotations by the Chairman of the Chinese Communist Party, and was entitled 200 Quotations from Chairman Mao. It was first given to delegates of a conference on 5 January 1964 who were asked to comment on it. If we're being honest, most of us live comfortable, safe, and relatively easy lives. We enjoy a quality and ease of living that most of the world could not even imagine, let alone pursue. After all, even the poorest people in America are amongst the top five percent of the wealthiest people in the world, and the faces of those who suffer the most across the globe are distant and unfamiliar to us. As we busily navigate the path towards the American Dream, another dream has been forgotten--the hope that what is broken in this world may be restored to its intended fullness. The truth is we know we should help those less fortunate than us, but the needs of the world are so overwhelming. Where do we start? Where can we make the most impact? This compelling, story-driven book urges readers to open their eyes to the needs of a hurting world. It is a gripping, to-the-point challenge to get involved in realistic, positive change--one life at a time. Building on more than twenty years of experience in humanitarian relief efforts and community development around the world, author Noel Brewer Yeatts urges readers to realize that working to build a better world is not about guilt, handouts, or charity. It is about justice, compassion, and personal investment. She encourages readers to live a life fully awake . . . and doing a world of good.

ECPA BESTSELLER • FINALIST FOR THE CHRISTIAN BOOK AWARD® • Build your Bible IQ and Christian worldview in just fifteen minutes a day! Over the course of a year, Core 52 will help you master the 52 most important passages in the Bible. “You will gain the tools you need for living the life God has called you to.”—Kyle Idleman, pastor and author of Not a Fan “For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.”—1 Timothy 4:8 Most of us want to know the Bible better, but few reach our goal, often because we’re too busy or we don’t know where to start. Core 52 removes both barriers, offering a common-sense solution that fits into our busy lives. Respected Bible professor and teaching pastor Mark E. Moore developed this proven process from thirty-five years of helping people grow deeper in God’s Word. Each week features a brief essay, memory verse, Bible story, trajectory verses, and practical ways to put what you’ve learned into practice. An optional “Overachiever Challenge” offers the chance to memorize the top 100 Bible verses by year’s end. This simple approach allows you to become familiar with the big ideas of the Bible in less time and with less effort than other reading plans. In one year, you can master the core of the Bible—focusing on topics from God’s will to worry, happiness to holiness, and leadership to love. These fifty-two core passages are lenses through which you can read the rest of the Bible with clarity and confidence.
