Marriage is beautiful-and baffling to many couples at the same time. It's like opening a box of 5000-piece jigsaw puzzle with much excitement and enthusiasm initially, organizing and discovering pieces that fit; then interest starts to dwindle as the going gets tough, followed by frustrations, only to finally give up and put it away altogether-neglected and unfinished. . If that sounds painfully familiar, know that you are not alone or the only one to feel lost, wondering if there is more to marriage than just setting up a family, raising up children, and going through the daily grind like every other couple. . Do you believe your marriage, however ordinary and imperfect, has the potential to be different and able to impact others? We certainly do, though it did not seem obvious or likely when we first started out. As we learned to allow God to shape our relationship and ultimately our marriage, despite weaknesses and failures, we began to see Him at work little by little as He put the pieces in their places to accomplish His divine purpose in our lives together and individually.

The Institutional Dynamics Of China S Great Transformation written by Xiaoming Huang and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-11-30 with Business & Economics categories.

This book examines the role of institutions in China’s recent large-scale economic, social and political transformation. The book argues that, although the importance of institutions in China’s rapid economic growth and social development over the past 30 years is widely acknowledged, exactly how institutions affect changes in particular national and historical settings is less well understood. Unlike existing literature, it offers perspectives from a variety of disciplines - including law, economics, politics, international relations and communication studies – to consider whether institutions form, evolve and change differently according to their historical or cultural environments and if their utilitarian functions can, and should be, observed, identified and measured in different ways. The book discusses China’s political and legal institutions; the international institutions with which China engages; institutions promoting science and technology; media companies; and local institutions including the household registration system. It also examines how institutions themselves have been formed, changed and re-formed over recent decades, and suggests theoretical and methodological adjustments in institutional analysis to allow a fuller understanding of the institutional dynamics of China’s transformation.

Empire Of Silver written by Jin Xu and has been published by Yale University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-02-23 with History categories.

A thousand-year history of how China’s obsession with silver influenced the country’s financial well-being, global standing, and political stability This revelatory account of the ways silver shaped Chinese history shows how an obsession with “white metal” held China back from financial modernization. First used as currency during the Song dynasty in around 900 CE, silver gradually became central to China’s economic framework and was officially monetized in the middle of the Ming dynasty during the sixteenth century. However, due to the early adoption of paper money in China, silver was not formed into coins but became a cumbersome “weighing currency,” for which ingots had to be constantly examined for weight and purity—an unwieldy practice that lasted for centuries. While China’s interest in silver spurred new avenues of trade and helped increase the country’s global economic footprint, Jin Xu argues that, in the long run, silver played a key role in the struggles and entanglements that led to the decline of the Chinese empire.

This book is about The Puppeteer's Cosmic Puzzle, a novel deck of 48 playing cards related to the standard deck of 52 in use throughout the world today. It shows how suits in the deck graphically answer the 6 questions how many, why, who, what, when, and where. The Puppeteer represents nature and natural order. With that, and some abbreviation, approximation, and time-honored convention, a playing-card microcosm can be pieced together. Ancient symbols for the planets, the zodiac, and others help to scientifically illustrate key natural phenomena that can be verified by observation.Big Answers to Little Questions is a stand-alone activity and coloring book that includes some card games. All the cards are pictured, named, and explained. Matching games, memory games, and games of chance and skill, can be played without regard for meaning, but the meaning is always there to be discovered and appreciated. The book and the unique playing card puzzle it's about are archived in the Playing Card Museum of France in Issy-les-Moulineaux.

"The approach that has helped thousands of learners memorize Japanese kanji has been adapted to help students with Chinese characters. Remembering Simplified Hanzi covers the writing and meaning of the 1,000 most commonly used characters in the traditional Chinese writing system, plus another 500 that are best learned at an early stage." "Of critical importance to the approach found in these pages is the systematic arranging of characters in an order best suited to memory. In the Chinese writing system, strokes and simple components are nested within relatively simple characters, which can, in turn, serve as parts of more complicated characters and so on. Taking advantage of this allows a logical ordering, making it possible for students to approach most new characters with prior knowledge that can greatly facilitate the learning process."--BOOK JACKET.
