Can matter, mind and spirit be reconciled through quantum uncertainty, higher dimensions and spiritual correspondence? Most scientists agree that the universe encompasses higher dimensions. But was the physical universe originally derived from these higher dimensions? Is Reality higher-dimensional? And is there a key that unlocks the mysteries of this higher-dimensional universe? In The Meaningful Universe, the author shows how the physical universe must be connected to higher dimensions through spiritual correspondence. Correspondence is the link between physical matter, higher-dimensional mind and spirit. The real universe is not only around us; it is also within us. And it is only when we begin to explore the spiritual landscape of our heart and mind and discover these higher-dimensional correspondences that we can restore value, meaning and purpose to our physical existence. Like the universe is higher-dimensional, the Bible or Word of God also contains higher levels of meaning. When we uncover these higher-dimensional meanings, we are equally able to understand what the Bible is trying to communicate and the real significance and purpose of religion.

A Significant Life written by Todd May and has been published by University of Chicago Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-04-02 with Philosophy categories.

Philosopher Todd May s latest book helps readers to find meaning in their lives, especially those readers who, like Camus, do not look to God. As Camus says of daily life, But then one day the why arises and everything begins in that weariness tinged with amazement. To move beyond that weariness tinged with amazement, we must look, May argues, toward a realm of values that inheres in our practices but that we rarely reflect on systematically: narrative values. Narrative values offer thematic meaning and a sense of worth to the trajectory of our lives. The book proceeds in five stages. In the first chapter, May raises the question of meaningfulness, and then rejects the answers he thinks are too easyGod and the universe. The second chapter considers and rejects the possibility that happiness is good enough. For a life to be meaningful in the sense many of us seek, it cannot only feel good to us: it must also meet certain, more objective criteria of meaningfulness. In the third chapter, the heart of the book, May proposes narrative values as offering those criteria or standards of meaning, values such as steadfastness, adventurousness, or gracefulness. In chapter four, May contrasts narrative values with both moral values and aesthetic ones, and in chapter five May defends the idea that we can have standards or criteria of meaning that are objectivenot simply a matter of personal opinioneven in the absence of God or some foundation upon which to rest our beliefs. May reflects on what it is to have a meaningful life, and how much or how little comfort we can take from the meaning our lives might express. Narrative values do not offer us an assurance that our lives have a cosmic significance, and they do not redeem all humankind. Instead, they give us a framework for reflecting on ourselves that allow us to make sense of and give value to the particular bent of the arc of our lives."

Is the universe ultimately meaningful, ordered to an end of transcendental value? Or is it merely the product of random interactions in which organization emerges only locally and by chance and is conserved only so long as rare and improbable conditions prevail? There can, in fact, be no more important question, for on the resolution of this question depends the significance of all our worldly labors. The Ultimate Meaningfulness of the Universe represents a new departure in this debate, arguing that because it describes rather than explains the universe, mathematical physics is radically incapable of addressing this question. The book argues for a new scientific research paradigm that while incorporating and building on the description of the universe supplied by modern mathematical physics, goes beyond it in a restored discipline of teleological explanation. The book sketches applications in the physical, biological, and social domains, and shows that powerful evidence already points toward the ultimate meaningfulness of the universe.

Theories about the nature and function of philosophical imagination depend on our understanding of what kind of universe we inhabit. Raymond C. Barfield discusses conditions that would be necessary if the universe is meaningful as a whole, and then develops a theory of philosophical imagination in light of that starting place.

Meaningful or meaningless? Purposeful or pointless? When we look at nature, whether at our living earth or into deepest space, what do we find? In stark contrast to contemporary claims that the world is meaningless, Benjamin Wiker and Jonathan Witt reveal a cosmos charged with both meaning and purpose. Their journey begins with Shakespeare and ranges through Euclid's geometry, the fine-tuning of the laws of physics, the periodic table of the elements, the artistry of ordinary substances like carbon and water, the intricacy of biological organisms, and the irreducible drama of scientific exploration itself. Along the way, Wiker and Witt fashion a robust argument from evidence in nature, one that rests neither on religious presuppositions nor on a simplistic view of nature as the best of all possible worlds. In their exploration of the cosmos, Wiker and Witt find all the challenges and surprises, all of the mystery and elegance one expects from a work of genius.

Why The Purpose Of The Universe written by Philip Goff and has been published by Oxford University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-11-09 with Philosophy categories.

Why are we here? What's the point of existence? On the 'big questions' of meaning and purpose, Western thought has been dominated by the dichotomy of traditional religion and secular atheism. In this pioneering work, Philip Goff argues that it is time to move on from both God and atheism. Through an exploration of contemporary cosmology and cutting-edge philosophical research on consciousness, Goff argues for cosmic purpose: the idea that the universe is directed towards certain goals, such as the emergence of life. In contrast to religious thinkers, Goff argues that the traditional God is a bad explanation of cosmic purpose. Instead, he explores a range of alternative possibilities for accounting for cosmic purpose, from the speculation that we live in a computer simulation to the hypothesis that the universe itself is a conscious mind. Goff scrutinizes these options with analytical rigour, laying the foundations for a new paradigm of philosophical enquiry into the middle ground between God and atheism. Ultimately, Goff outlines a way of living in hope that cosmic purpose is still unfolding, involving political engagement and a non-literalist interpretation of traditional religion.

This is a simple guide to give the reader a sense, in the most simplistic way, of how the Universe is communicating with us, through us. This book is designed to give comprehensive view with simple insights into many areas of life, and how to cope best and move forward swiftly in an ever evolving, complex society. There is a message in everything: the good and the bad. The more we understand the language of the Universe, the better we can communicate, which, ultimately leads to living a meaningful life whilst naturally achieving a sense of peace. The Universe is talking to you. We are being in-tuition-ed by the Universe as our day-to-day companion. We live, we learn, and through it all we have the Universe communicating with us directly via the instant, wireless connection - intuition! The Universe challenges us through our personal, individual curriculum, playing out a 'theatre play' in which we participate whilst learning from feelings and emotions. Part of the personal curriculum is the ability to decipher the often seemingly hidden, symbolic symbols, signs and messages, whilst silently communicating through intuition. As we go through ups and downs, trying to make sense of it all, we are often left wondering what the meaning of life is.Do you understand the underlying messages of the Universe? Is life making sense to you? Why do we go through challenging times and do you understand how 'your' intuition is communicating with you? Are you listening or have you lost all trust?Life on Earth has become increasingly complex but the key towards a meaningful life is to keep it simple.

There is evidence that the universe is alive! That humans are its genes, its very reason. Read a theory where all the puzzle-pieces come together and where physics and biology become the same. Every form has a minimum and a maximum, including the human form and the form of the universe. What is the form of the universe? Consider that a whole system must be more intelligent, more complex, more alive--than any of its parts...Who would have thought that the elusive "theory of everything", supposedly expected from physics, would come from biology? The questions of what the universe is, where it came from, what it evolves towards, and how it relates to human existence--are now answered in terms of morphology as they arise from Plato's forms and Sheldrake's work, but mostly by genetics itself."The Cosmic Egg" is a mind-blowing book that introduces a "mechanics of form", where every form (natural or manmade) has a minimum and a maximum, including the universal form, and where form can thus be mathematically defined. Now, all our ancient questions are quite easily answered, unsolvable paradoxes understood, the ultimate puzzle laid out to show the universe as organismic and as intimately relating to the human form! The "Cosmic Egg" unifies physics with biology, with metaphysics, with legend, and all other human observation about reality. It spells the end of mechanistic models of reality, and the beginning of a truly meaningful science that is principally the study of life. The "Cosmic Egg" unifies our existing paradoxes by offering the simplest possibly reason for existence itself, the simplest of all possible truths. This is the end of the mechanistic Age, and of science as we knew it...

A leading theologian presents a hopeful account of the universe after Einstein, exploring it as a meaningful drama of awakening “This book is a deep and provocative piece of theology that proposes we engage with the universe as a kind of narrative of awakening and unfolding, as well as an important and useful approach for thinking about theology with respect to modern cosmology.”—Matthew Stanley, New York University Before the early twentieth century, scientists and theologians knew almost nothing about time’s enormity and the corresponding immensity of space. But now, after Einstein, cosmology offers theology a whole new way of looking at the ageless questions about matter, time, God, cosmic purpose, and the significance of our lives. The universe need not be thought of as simply an endless reshuffling of lifeless and mindless atoms in a pointless series of moments. Rather, the universe is a temporal drama of awakening whose meaning can be revealed only gradually by looking, in a spirit of anticipation and hope, toward the horizon of the cosmic future. In conversation with Einstein’s ideas and opinions, John F. Haught develops here a new cosmological understanding of the meaning of God, time, eternity, mystery, life, thought, freedom, and faith. In doing so, he offers readers a new way of understanding the relationship of science to theology.
