'The nobility must awaken, or else resign itself to perish, and not even gloriously: to perish by corrosion and fatal submersion. To awaken - that means: to become once more, at any cost, a political class.' Metaphysics of Power is a collection of Julius Evola's powerfully argued articles organised into areas key to Evola's thought: the State, Education, Family, Liberty & Duty, Monarchy, Empire, Modern Society, and Aristocracy. Coursing through much of Evola's work represented here is the key notion of the four-caste system: king, warrior, merchant, and laborer; which is clearly explicated in Decline of the Idea of the State and often referred to in other articles. The theme - namely the deviation from this ancient and nearly universal tradition - is part of the bedrock of Evola's critique on why the modern state often fails. Various articles in this work touch on sensitive themes and demonstrate Evola's nuanced approaches to issues such as divorce, the Catholic Church's understanding of marriage, and individualism, but also handle with humor educational approaches such as the Montessori School, feminism, bureaucracy, and Europe's modern nobility. Most of these articles are translated here for the first time and offer the reader - in strong, erudite English matching Evola's strong, erudite Italian - a deeper dive into Evola's thoughts, philosophy, and opinions, while the tone of these articles ranges from patient and pedagogical to brutal and scathing. Metaphysics of Power represents a must-have for the seasoned disciple of Evola's philosophy, but is also a unique opportunity for the novice in traditionalist studies as it offers smaller, tighter explanations of Evola's views on key issues.

Mounting a searing critique of Martin Heidegger and Carl Schmidt—and their broader influence on the contemporary Left, including the work of Giorgio Agamben, Alain Badiou, and Slavoj Žižek—Anthony Mansueto’s The Metaphysics of Power argues that the common flaw of all contemporary political projects—Left and Right—is a narrow strategic focus on achieving and holding state power. This focus is grounded in a doctrine of sovereignty (divine and human) rooted in a decisionist political theology, which derives ultimately from Paul of Tarsus and which made historic Christianity from the beginning an ideology of empire. In the place of this decisionist political theology he proposes that we understand Being—and thus God—as a relational, transformative generativity that acts only as final cause and only from outside space and time, making even divine sovereignty logically impossible. Seeking to become God, but trapped in a contingency that cannot be transcended, we create structures that attempt divinity by means of exploiting and oppressing others, structures which, like the commodification of labor power, ultimately strip us of our humanity, making resistance impossible. And yet we are also lured by the incredible beauty of God to mend the torn fabric of the universe, to build and rebuild relationships and institutions which challenge and nurture us, and thus to ripen a contingent being that will always fall short of its end but is capable of finding meaning and joy nonetheless.

The Metaphysics Of Market Power written by George Raitt and has been published by Bloomsbury Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-05-02 with Law categories.

Australian competition law has just emerged from a significant period of reform which has seen controversial changes to the legal test to distinguish between normal competitive conduct and conduct that should be condemned. The controversy continues, arguably because the traditional legal conception of market power does not provide a useful standard in real world markets. This important new book offers a radical interpretation of market power, based on the power to manipulate. Seeing it in this way allows for positive and normative standards within which to frame a legal theory of liability for misuse of that power. The book provides suggestions to improve the forensic assessment of conduct that should be condemned as misuse of market power.

The Creative Power Of Thought written by Thomas Troward and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-05-18 with categories.

This book is the last book in the series called the Library of Hidden Knowledge, begun in 2012 and completed in spring of 2021--the perfect moment to immerse oneself in the clear wisdom of this amazing man. His ideas, expressed in extremely lengthy sentences and paragraphs, have become the basis of the mental science and New Thought movement. They have transformed lives for over a hundred years through Unity, Divine Science, and Spiritual Living centers and churches, and have inspired the works of motivational teachers ranging from Napoleon Hill, Wallace Wattles, and Earl Nightengale to Rhonda Byrne in The Secret. As with all the Library of Hidden Knowledge books, this one has two parts. The first part is my "translation," or interpretation, of the original writings from their Victorian prose into modern form and lan-guage, with summary points and exercises. This is followed by Troward's original text.
