The Mind Economy redefines how we understand the mind—treating it as an economic system in which memory is a central and valuable resource. Integrating perspectives from psychology, philosophy, neuroscience, and economics, Professor Oliver Hoffmann introduces a groundbreaking framework for thinking about cognition, identity, and self-development. At the heart of the book lies the idea that memory, narration, and imagination are dynamic, exchangeable forces that structure our inner world and drive our decision-making processes. Drawing on insights from ancient philosophy to modern neuroscience, Hoffmann outlines a new form of “economic cognitive therapy” and provides practical tools for self-regulation, emotional integration, and enhanced mental efficiency. Support systems such as yoga, meditation, and cultural immersion are woven into this model, offering readers a holistic path toward personal transformation. This book is essential reading for psychologists, therapists, and anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the mind’s inner workings—and how to work with them.

The Economics Of The Mind written by Salvatore Rizzello and has been published by Edward Elgar Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1997 with Business & Economics categories.
The Economics of the Mind addresses economics from the perspective of real men and women: how they assess things, decide and act. It looks at the choices we make, and calls for the assumptions which make up the foundations of economic theory to be consistent with the mechanisms which guide the workings of the human mind. The author begins by presenting an historical analysis of the role of knowledge and decision-making, taking into account the work of Hayek and Simon. Salvatore Rizzello then reconstructs the birth and development of neo-institutionalism, experimental economics and evolutionary economics. He discusses economic and social institutions and how these simplify the individual's choices related to knowledge and tasks. Specifically, he examines rules, learning and evolution in neo-institutional economics. The book breaks new ground on the role of the social sciences, and economics in particular, and suggests a move away from neoclassical economics towards a more definite link between economics, psychology and the artificial sciences. The book will be warmly welcomed by institutional and evolutionary economists, and those working in the field of economic psychology.

Mind Economy: Language, Thought, and the Fabric of Existence explores the living exchanges that shape human consciousness — where language weaves thought, thought sculpts perception, and meaning becomes the architecture of reality itself. Drawing on philosophy, neuroscience, linguistics, and emerging technologies, Ronald Legarski reveals how words are not passive vessels but active currents — currencies that invest in the worlds we inhabit and the futures we create. Through a journey across the ancient roots of language to the unfolding frontiers of artificial intelligence and collective cognition, Mind Economy offers a guide to conscious language stewardship, narrative sovereignty, and the design of luminous futures. This book is both a map and a manifesto: for those ready to build, not just live within, the evolving architecture of existence.

Economics is often defined as the science of choice or human action. But choice and action are essentially mental phenomena, an aspect rarely mentioned in the economics discourse. Choice, while not always a conscious or rational process, is held to involve beliefs, desires, intentions and arguably even free will. Actions are often opposed to mere bodily movements, with the former being in some sense only understandable in reference to mental processes while the latter are understandable in entirely non-mental, physical terms. While philosophers have long concerned themselves with the connections between these concepts, economists have tended to steer clear of what might appear to be an a priori debate. At the same time, philosophers working on these important notions have tended to not dirty their hands with the empirical, real-world applications in which economists are specialized. This volume fills these gaps by bringing economists and philosophers of mind together to explore the intersection of their disciplines.
