Hidup bukan sekadar memupuk kekayaan, sebab kekayaan bukanlah satu-satunya ukuran kebahagiaan. Dalam situasi apa pun, bahagia bisa diraih, baik dalam cuaca cerah maupun musim yang buruk. Banyak cara bahagia dengan sederhana yang bisa kita jalani. Persoalannya, maukah kita mengusahakan dan memandang hidup dari sisi bahagia? Tingkat kebahagiaan setiap manusia yang berbeda-beda. Ada yang mengukur kebahagiaan lewat materi ada pula yang mengukurnya lewat potensi diri. Sumber kebahagiaan berkaitan dengan cara memaknai hidup. Setiap kebudayaan dan negara di dunia memiliki falsafah pemaknaan hidup, salah satunya adalah Jepang dengan konsep ikigai.
