I wrote The Modern Version Incursion because there is a need in the church for Christians to see plainly that the modern versions of the Bible are counterfeits. God wrote one Bible, not three hundred! The Bible tells us plainly that God's word is forever settled in heaven, as Psalm 119:89 teaches. This means the word of God is established and firm in heaven. The modern versions attack the cardinal doctrines of the Christian faith and especially attack the Lord Jesus Christ. The modern versions are based on the second-century Gnostic beliefs that were prevalent in Alexandria, Egypt. They disbelieved that Jesus was the Son of God and that He was not the incarnation of deity. What is really unhealthy is when the pastor of a church pushes these counterfeits and convinces their congregation that they are the most accurate. I sincerely desire Christians to look at their modern version and then compare it with the King James Bible and ask the question, why is theirs so different? We will look at 747 verses, which should be more than enough to convince even the skeptic. Christians will search out a neighborhood to live in, check out a mutual fund or stock, research a car before they buy; but when it comes to Bibles, they couldn't care less what they use. It shows how Christian commitment is lacking, and the weakness of modern Christianity attests to that fact. If one uses a counterfeit, they will be weak in their walk. Since the 1901 ASV came out, the church has become so weak it needs to be put on life support. When you start making the comparisons in this book, you will see that Christianity has been sold a bill of goods.

A much-cited and highly influential text by Alastair Pennycook, one of the world authorities in sociolinguistics, The Cultural Politics of English as an International Language explores the globalization of English by examining its colonial origins, its connections to linguistics and applied linguistics, and its relationships to the global spread of teaching practices. Nine chapters cover a wide range of key topics including: international politics colonial history critical pedagogy postcolonial literature. The book provides a critical understanding of the concept of the ‘worldliness of English’, or the idea that English can never be removed from the social, cultural, economic or political contexts in which it is used. Reissued with a substantial preface, this Routledge Linguistics Classic remains a landmark text, which led a much-needed critical and ideologically-informed investigation into the burgeoning topic of World Englishes. Key reading for all those working in the areas of Applied Linguistics, Sociolinguistics and World Englishes.

The fish faunas of continental South and Central America constitute one of the greatest concentrations of aquatic diversity on Earth, consisting of about 10 percent of all living vertebrate species. Historical Biogeography of Neotropical Freshwater Fishes explores the evolutionary origins of this unique ecosystem. The chapters address central themes in the study of tropical biodiversity: why is the Amazon basin home to so many distinct evolutionary lineages? What roles do ecological specialization, speciation, and extinction play in the formation of regional assemblages? How do dispersal barriers contribute to isolation and diversification? Focusing on whole faunas rather than individual taxonomic groups, this volume shows that the area’s high regional diversity is not the result of recent diversification in lowland tropical rainforests. Rather, it is the product of species accumulating over tens of millions of years and across a continental arena.

Dr. John Gil is the only person to write a commentary on every verse of the bible. He was a scholar and read both Hebrew and Greek and was a Particular Baptists minister in London, England, in the 18 century, who taught the doctrines of grace and like all Christian churches the King James Bible was the one used by Christians. All modern versions since 1948 are not translated from the text underlying the King James Version but are from their own translation of Westcott and Hort's 4th Century Greek texts. My final words on this whole matter is, 26 'Oh fools and slow in heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken, aught not Christs to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory.27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.' It seems to me that those who reject, cannot or will not receive, the record that God has given in Genesis concerning His Son and the account of the great flood, have been deceived by the Devil. The answer of the Christian to such a temptation is to say, 'Get thee behind me Satan'. And for it is written, 'Man shall not live by bead alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God'. Moses wrote of the coming of Christ in to the world in Genesis where it is written 'And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Gen 3:15. In order to understand Westcott and Hort have not been faithful to the word of God and introduced great errors we include for your reference the following books 'Which Bible' by Philip Mauro and 'The Modern Version Incursion', by Ken Matto. African traditional religion encompasses a variety of non-dogmatic, spiritual practices followed by millions around the world. Some scholars argue it is related to the Nubian religion of Egypt's Dynastic Period. In an expanded second edition, this book examines the nature of African traditional religion and describes common attributes of various cultural belief systems, with an emphasis on West Africa. Principal elements studied include sacrifice, salvation and culture, modes of revelation, divination, and African resilience in the face of invasion and colonization. The religious experiences of black people throughout the Americas are also covered. The author finds the cosmology, symbolism and rituals of the Yoruba culture to be the fundamental bases of African traditional religion, and draws similarities between the oral and written literature of West Africans and that of New World practitioners. The influence of Islam and Christianity is also discussed. Instructors considering this book for use in a course may request an examination copy here.

Basic Bible Doctrine And Principles For New And Young Christians written by Ken Matto and has been published by Christian Faith Publishing, Incorporated this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-11-22 with Religion categories.

Basic Bible Doctrine and Principles for New and Young Christians was written with the intent to train the next generation in basic teachings in the Bible. Modern Christianity has failed to produce biblical Christians; instead, it is producing Christians who desire mysticism, signs and wonders, modern Bible versions which confuse rather than teach, health and wealth prosperity gospels, Christian rock music which does not edify, ecumenicalism, etc. Modern Christianity has strayed far from what the Bible teaches, and it is necessary that we return to basic Bible principles and teachings. People of all ages are becoming saved every day, and it is necessary for them to start their Christian walk with the proper teachings. This book will help new Christians begin their walk with a good understanding of basic Bible doctrine without any bias, something which has been lost. Much of modern Christianity is based on entertainment as is evidenced by many churches and the TV ministries which are basically nothing more than variety shows. If Christianity is to make any impact in the world, as it did in 1517, it is vital that Christians have an understanding of the Bible. This book contains twenty-seven important subjects which have been distorted in the modern church, and new Christians need to understand these subjects. This book would also be good for home Bible studies and new believers' classes in Sunday schools. This book would also help Christians who are older in the faith or those who have been diverted from the "old paths" and are just confused as to what they hear being taught in the churches today. This book will help ground new Christians and reground older Christians to return to the truth and foundation of the Scriptures. Other books by this author are The Modern Version Incursion and Bible Prophecy: Interpreting the Scriptures According to the Scriptures.

The Automaton In English Renaissance Literature written by Wendy Beth Hyman and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-03-23 with Science categories.

The Automaton in English Renaissance Literature features original essays exploring the automaton-from animated statue to anthropomorphized machine-in the poetry, prose, and drama of England in the 16th and 17th centuries. Addressing the history and significance of the living machine in early modern literature, the collection places literary automata of the period within their larger aesthetic, historical, philosophical, and scientific contexts. While no single theory or perspective conscribes the volume, taken as a whole the collection helps correct an assumption that frequently emerges from a post-Enlightenment perspective: that these animated beings are by definition exemplars of the new science, or that they point necessarily to man's triumphant relationship to technology. On the contrary, automata in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries seem only partly and sporadically to function as embodiments of an emerging mechanistic or materialist worldview. Renaissance automata were just as likely not to confirm for viewers a hypothesis about the man-machine. Instead, these essays show, automata were often a source of wonder, suggestive of magic, proof of the uncannily animating effect of poetry-indeed, just as likely to unsettle the divide between man and divinity as that between man and matter.

Contributing to the debate on work performance evaluation in a time of technological transformation, this book explores the impact of digitisation on production and organisation models, as well as on the rights and interests of the stakeholders involved. As organisations down-size, merge with other companies and become decentralised, the boundaries in employer-employee-customer relationships are blurred and new models for the organisation and assessment of work performance have emerged. With these new models, innovative regulatory approaches are sorely needed. Taking an interdisciplinary approach and drawing on theoretical concepts from organisation studies, human resource management, sociology and labour economics, this all-encompassing collection is not only essential reading for academics and students, but also for policy-makers and employers who are looking for innovative and practical solutions to the challenges of modern employment relations.
