Mathematical Modelling And Computing In Physics Chemistry And Biology written by Zdzislaw Trzaska and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-12-22 with Computers categories.
This book keeps an eye in the direction of applications of advanced and high performance scientific computing in describing the behavior of natural and constructed systems, e.g. chaos, bifurcation, fractal, Lyapunov exponent, period doubling, Poincaré map, strange attractor etc. With the aid of powerful computers the modem theory of chaos and its geometry, the fractals, and attractors are developed. The concepts of object oriented computing are introduced early in the text and steadily expanded as one progresses through the chapters. The beginning of each chapter is of an introductory nature, followed by practical applications, the discussion of numerical results, theoretical investigations on nonlinear stability and convergence. This is the first complete introduction to process modelling and computing that fully integrates software tools — enabling professionals and students to master critical techniques hands on through computer simulations based on the popular MATLAB environment. The book offers a simple tool for all those oscillations that are travelling through the world, helping them discover its hidden beauty. Many applications as well as results of computer simulations are presented. The center of concern is set on existing as well as emerging continuous methods of investigations useful for researchers, engineers and practitioners active in many and often interdisciplinary fields, where physics, electrochemistry, biology and medicine play a key role. Coverage includes: • Dynamic behavior of nonlinear systems, • Fundamental descriptions of processes exhibiting nonlinear oscillations, • Mechanism and function of structures of nonlinear oscillations’ patterns, • Analysis of dynamical oscillations in electric circuits and systems, • Artificial intelligence models of natural systems, • Nonlinear oscillations in chemistry, biologyand medicine, • Oscillations in mechanics and transport systems, • Oscillations in fractional-order systems, • Energy harvesting systems from the surrounding environment. With an insatiable appetite for exploring the surrounding world and doing research, this book can help readers quickly find ways to use new computers and facilitate the quest for greater knowledge and understanding of reality. The reach of novelty of the book ranges from new mathematical ideas to motivating questions and science issues in many subject areas.

Complex Time Delay Systems written by Fatihcan M. Atay and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-03-24 with Science categories.
One of the major contemporary challenges in both physical and social sciences is modeling, analyzing, and understanding the self-organization, evolution, behavior, and eventual decay of complex dynamical systems ranging from cell assemblies to the human brain to animal societies. The multi-faceted problems in this domain require a wide range of methods from various scienti?c disciplines. There is no question that the inclusion of time delays in complex system models considerably enriches the challenges presented by the problems. Although this inclusion often becomes inevitable as real-world applications demand more and more realistic m- els, the role of time delays in the context of complex systems so far has not attracted the interest it deserves. The present volume is an attempt toward ?lling this gap. There exist various useful tools for the study of complex time-delay systems. At the forefront is the mathematical theory of delay equations, a relatively mature ?eld in many aspects, which provides some powerful techniques for analytical inquiries, along with some other tools from statistical physics, graph theory, computer science, dynamical systems theory, probability theory, simulation and optimization software, and so on. Nevertheless, the use of these methods requires a certain synergy to address complex systems problems, especially in the presence of time delays.

Multiscale Analysis And Nonlinear Dynamics written by Misha Meyer Pesenson and has been published by John Wiley & Sons this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-09-13 with Science categories.
Since modeling multiscale phenomena in systems biology and neuroscience is a highly interdisciplinary task, the editor of the book invited experts in bio-engineering, chemistry, cardiology, neuroscience, computer science, and applied mathematics, to provide their perspectives. Each chapter is a window into the current state of the art in the areas of research discussed and the book is intended for advanced researchers interested in recent developments in these fields. While multiscale analysis is the major integrating theme of the book, its subtitle does not call for bridging the scales from genes to behavior, but rather stresses the unifying perspective offered by the concepts referred to in the title. It is believed that the interdisciplinary approach adopted here will be beneficial for all the above mentioned fields.

The accelerating development of computer technology and communications can replace many of the functions of human intellectual activity, as well as help them in making decisions in various situations of their lives. To implement intelligent functions for various purposes, numerous models, paradigms, architectures, and hardware and software are being developed. Because the world is constantly evolving, there is a need to constantly study various dynamic processes to determine possible negative situations that can lead to undesirable catastrophic phenomena and changes. Recently, more attention has been paid to the study of natural processes in nature. Scientific works are appearing that describe the behavior and development of living organisms and the processes of their interaction. Cellular automata are increasingly used to describe and model them. New Methods and Paradigms for Modeling Dynamic Processes Based on Cellular Automata is a collection of innovative research that describes the models and paradigms of building cellular automata that allows for the simulation of the dynamics of the interaction of living organisms from a different scientific point of view. For this, asynchronous cellular automata with a dynamically changing number of “living” cells are used. The chapters describe the theoretical concepts of constructing asynchronous cellular automata with active cells. Much attention is paid to the use of the proposed theoretical principles for solving modeling problems and solving specific applied problems of forming pseudorandom sequences and image processing based on modeling of the human visual channel. Featuring research on topics such as colony interaction, image processing and recognition, and influence mode, this book is ideally designed for engineers, programmers, software developers, researchers, academicians, and students.

Computational Intelligence (CI) and Bioprocess are well-established research areas which have much to offer each other. Under the perspective of the CI area, Biop- cess can be considered a vast application area with a growing number of complex and challenging tasks to be dealt with, whose solutions can contribute to boosting the development of new intelligent techniques as well as to help the refinement and s- cialization of many of the already existing techniques. Under the perspective of the Bioprocess area, CI can be considered a useful repertoire of theories, methods and techniques that can contribute and offer interesting alternative approaches for solving many of its problems, particularly those hard to solve using conventional techniques. Although throughout the past years CI and Bioprocess areas have accumulated substantial specific knowledge and progress has been quick and with a high degree of success, we believe there is still a long way to go in order to use the potentialities of the available CI techniques and knowledge at their full extent, as tools for supporting problem solving in bioprocesses. One of the reasons is the fact that both areas have progressed steadily and have been continuously accumulating and refining specific knowledge; another reason is the high level of technical expertise demanded by each of them. The acquisition of technical skills, experience and good insights in either of the two areas is very demanding and a hard task to be accomplished by any professional.
