Wes Randolph retired as an elementary school principal in 1988 and has been rhyming his reactions to the world around him ever since. Most of the eclectic collections of rhymes he created have been for his own amusement, but some that seemed to have the potential for a wider audience are included in this book. As he says, there are more where these came from, but they remain to be seen… and, hopefully, read. His book contains many four or five line nonsense rhymes that can join or replace some equally nonsensical ones children have enjoyed for generations. Others are longer pseudo-scientific descriptions of members of the insect or animal world. His wry wit comes through in his rhymes and he hopes they will provide as much pleasure for others as he enjoyed creating them.

Incorporated in 1797, Trumbull, Connecticut, developed from a collection of farms and settlements in the area north of Stratford. Trumbull's neighborhoods reflect the varied identities of these early settlements. The Nichols area features homes dating as far back as the establishment of the Farm Highway, which was laid out in 1696 and remains the third-oldest thoroughfare in the state. In the now-forested Pequonnock Valley, a 19th-century rail bed ambles past the foundations of wool mills, paper mills, and gristmills that served the community through the 1800s. That same rail line carried thousands of fun seekers to the picnic pavilions, toboggan slide, and other attractions of Parlor Rock Amusement Park in the late 1800s. Just to the west of the valley, a small, surviving triangle of the Long Hill Green marks an area that once buzzed with the production of shirts, cigars, and carriages. Today, Trumbull continues to rediscover itself and frequently receives accolades as one of the state's most desirable communities in which to live and raise a family.

Ockham S Razor Revisited written by David Clarke and has been published by Balboa Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-12-15 with Body, Mind & Spirit categories.

Ockham's Razor is a blazingly candid memoir and recovery guide within a spiritual context. It is a deeply moving, intensely caring, intimate portrayal of a gay man's journey through abysmal depression, manic episodes, extreme indulgence, and sexual addiction. He eventually discovered the power of the simple solution and enjoys enduring sobriety. Unlike many self-help books, it speaks from the heart of one who's been there and back too many times. It offers a simple, doable plan that can lead to a safe harbor for addicts and people on the brink of disaster. It is a valuable source of information and inspiration for manic depressives, addicts, their supporters, co-dependents, and professionals in the field, gift-wrapped in a literate and fascinating read. Twenty-six years of practicing, studying, rising above, and sinking to the depths; recommitment, regret, disillusionment with incompetent professionals, twelve-step commitments, and lapses, confirms the author as an expert on the subject with a workable solution.

Grotton Revisited written by Steve Ankers and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-03-26 with Architecture categories.

Some thirty years ago the small Metropolitan County of Grotton found itself bathed in the bright glare of publicity as The Grotton Papers lifted the lid on the inner workings of the six planning departments of this hitherto little remarked corner of England. The intervening years have seen Grotton's County Council aim at the admirable and mostly achievable target of becoming "average with moderate prospects of remaining average" in the Government rankings, and the struggles of the District Councils to come to terms with planning in the late twentieth – let alone twenty-first – century are once again under the spotlight. The original authors of The Grotton Papers have come together once more to offer an experienced and surprisingly unjaundiced look at the way the British planning system works. Their comprehensive survey allows real lessons to be learnt from what Grotton has – and just as importantly hasn't – done since they were last in town. Grotton Revisited is without doubt the finest (and indeed the only) satirical book on this vitally important subject. It is suitable for planners of all ages and abilities, and will be essential reading for anyone who has ever had contact with the planning system, or thinks they may know someone who has. First class entertainment and education for professionals and general readers alike. Published in association with the RTPI.

The wisdom contained in these sonnets and poetry are written in the wisdom and context of the writings of Solomon. With a lyrical twist, life is expounded in such a way as to make available the resources to help look ahead in life rather than backwards. Each selection centers around the living of life and the access to some healthy answers to some of life's toughest questions. They are divinely inspired and written in a manner that requires some thinking on the part of the reader. Buried deep in the lyrics are sound advice and wisdom for daily living.
