Delicate, titian-haired Theresa Noble has met her father's associates in the past, but the gorgeous, Italian-born Sandro De Lucci leaves her speechless. Eighteen months into their marriage, however, Sandro has turned to ice. Desperate to escape a relationship that has proven to be as stubbornly passionate as it is cold and hateful, Theresa summons up the courage to ask for a divorce. But before he'll grant her request, Sandro demands something from Theresa: a son. The stalemate sickens her. Never mind that Sandro has yet to introduce Theresa to the large family that means so much to him. Or that Theresa overhears her husband on the phone with a mystery woman. Most damning is that Theresa senses, in Sandro's treatment of her, the behind-the-scenes machinations of Jackson Noble, her cruel father. From the depths of her anxiety, Theresa must seek an empowering truth about the husband who calls her, with such cold affection, his cara, his beloved.

Wedlocked! Brotherly love…? It was Sophia's wedding day, but she wasn't a happy and radiant bride. How could she feel anything but blue when she wasn't marrying Godfrey, the man she'd loved and the father of the baby she was expecting? Instead she was to wed Godfrey's younger brother. Jonathon Parnell was coldly handsome, and ruthless about carrying out the deathbed promise he'd made to Godfrey: to marry Sophia and give their baby legitimacy and financial security. Jonathon had assured Sophia that this would be a marriage in name only, but now she was beginning to realize that he expected her to act the role of his wife—in every sense…. "Another display of superb storytelling."—Romantic Times

The Financial Crisis Inquiry Report, published by the U.S. Government and the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission in early 2011, is the official government report on the United States financial collapse and the review of major financial institutions that bankrupted and failed, or would have without help from the government. The commission and the report were implemented after Congress passed an act in 2009 to review and prevent fraudulent activity. The report details, among other things, the periods before, during, and after the crisis, what led up to it, and analyses of subprime mortgage lending, credit expansion and banking policies, the collapse of companies like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and the federal bailouts of Lehman and AIG. It also discusses the aftermath of the fallout and our current state. This report should be of interest to anyone concerned about the financial situation in the U.S. and around the world.THE FINANCIAL CRISIS INQUIRY COMMISSION is an independent, bi-partisan, government-appointed panel of 10 people that was created to "examine the causes, domestic and global, of the current financial and economic crisis in the United States." It was established as part of the Fraud Enforcement and Recovery Act of 2009. The commission consisted of private citizens with expertise in economics and finance, banking, housing, market regulation, and consumer protection. They examined and reported on "the collapse of major financial institutions that failed or would have failed if not for exceptional assistance from the government."News Dissector DANNY SCHECHTER is a journalist, blogger and filmmaker. In the rugged Australian Outback, three generations of Clearys live through joy and sadness, bitter defeat and magnificent triumph, driven by their dreams, sustained by remarkable strength of character... and torn by dark passions, violence and a scandalous family legacy of forbidden love. The Thorn Birds is a poignant love story, a powerful epic of struggle and sacrifice, a celebration of individuality and spirit. Most of all, it is the story of the Clearys' only daughter, Meggie, who can never possess Ralph de Bricassart, the man she so desperately adores. Ralph will rise from parish priest to the inner circles of the Vatican... but his passion for Meggie will follow him all the days of his life. Praise for The Thorn Birds: 'One of the biggest-selling, most widely read books in the history of fiction' Observer 'I simply could not put it down' Daily Mail

Meet Vince Fong... I’ve got a pretty great life, if I do say so myself. I made a fortune when I sold my tech start-up, and I’ve spent the years since partying, drinking, and inviting a parade of women into my bed. I should be happy, but I feel an annoying lack of fulfillment, and there’s no way I’m going back to the work I did before. At a friend’s party, I meet Marissa. We have hot sex against the door and agree to spend the weekend together. Just one weekend. I never expect to see her again. Except now she’s pregnant with my baby…and I think this is the solution to all my problems. This is what will bring meaning to my life. I’m going to be a devoted father and husband. Marissa—whose last name I still don’t know—wants me to be involved, though she rejects my marriage proposal. But before the baby arrives, I’m going to prove to her that I can be something other than a playboy. And the rare times I set my mind to something, I don’t fail… Jackie Lau writes soft and steamy romances with Asian characters, all set in Canada. KEYWORDS: rom-com, one-night stand, one hot weekend, accidental pregnancy, contemporary romance, romantic comedy, playboy, Asian hero, Asian heroine, steamy romance, Canadian romance, foodie romance, happy ending, guaranteed HEA, no cliffhangers, lots of cheesecake, so much cheesecake

My Life written by Havelock Ellis and has been published by Good Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-11-09 with Fiction categories.

Havelock Ellis was a British physician, psychologist and writer, social reformer and progressive intellectual who studied the history of human sexuality. Together with Albert Moll and Richard von Krafft-Ebing he was one of the founders of sexology. He co-authored the first English medical textbook on homosexuality in 1897 and also published works on various sexual practices and inclinations, as well as transgender psychology; he is also credited with having first introduced the terms narcissism and autoeroticism, later also adopted by psychoanalysis. The use of events from his inner and outer life and the discussion of his wife's life led him to write his own autobiography. He also claims that the autobiography was written to help others gain insight not only into his life, but into life itself.
