The Parables chronicle the life and death of a castle society strangled into a coma by a terminal case of Bureaucratitus, hardening of the hallways. A young squire, Thomas Bucket, and his liege lord, Sir Lancelot, join the mle, joust with revolutionary zeal, but still cannot unhorse such stalwart practitioners of palatine politics as the Prince of the Piles, Lord Bellicose or the Parchment Patrollers (paper pushers of the first order). In the end, the nobles are led by the Wise Men, Smoke and Mirrors, into the sad Diaspora Bureaucrati. This book will help you avoid the same fate.

Proverbs, parables, and wise sayings are meaningful short sayings or vehicles through which morals are transmitted to adults, youths, and children. They are life experiences that Africans utilized to understand their past and present lives. These means of expressions are vital to the African culture as they transmit wisdom, truth, morals, and lessons that convey traditional views passed down from generation to generation. Africans and mostly older Africans communicate to adults, adolescences, and children by means of proverbs, parables, and wise sayingstransmitting messages, imparting warnings, solving problems, influencing behaviors, helping to avoid unwanted outcomes, and shaping or molding, especially the children as they journey through life. Proverbs, parables, and wise sayings are the instinctive or spontaneous methods of learning anytime and anywhere through conversations in an African community. As the conversations linger, they are revitalized by these short sayings. These modes keep the African children active and interested in the world around them, as well as their own development. These short sayings, in simple terms, are the daughters of daily-life experiences. They are not explained after they have been expressed; instead, adults, youths, and children used them to improve their communication and listening skills, develop creative imaginative and thinking skills, understand the meaning of life, and be familiar with the element of each proverb that was transmitted. Proverbs, parables, and wise sayings are the oral literature of the Creoles or Krios of Sierra Leone. Each proverb is understood when expressed in ordinary conversation. The role and importance of proverbs, parables, and wise sayings in conversations of each ethnic group of Sierra Leone provide a colorful, vibrant, and poetic picture of the African culture and its characteristics.

The Book of Psalms, even if it is, properly speaking, the third part of the Old Testament, as Our Lord says in Luke 24:44, “all things must needs be fulfilled which are written in the law of Moses and in the prophets and in the psalms, concerning me,” nevertheless is also a sort of summation or as it were a compendium of all of Sacred Scripture. For the Book of Psalms contains accounts from sacred history, as is evident from Psalms 77, 103, 104 and others; it contains many very plain prophetic oracles, as is evident from Psalms 2, 21, 44, 60 and others; it contains laws and precepts, as is evident in Psalm 118; it contains “hagiographa” in almost all the Psalms, that is, exhortations to virtue, discouragement from vice, threats, promises, examples, remedies for vices, divine praises, prayers to God, in short a complete, natural, moral and supernatural theology. SAINT ROBERT BELLARMINE COLLECTION [3 BOOKS] Saint Robert Bellarmine, S.J. was an Italian Jesuit and a Cardinal of the Catholic Church. He was one of the most important figures in the Counter-Reformation. He was a professor of theology and later rector of the Roman College, and in 1602 became archbishop of Capua. Bellarmine supported the reform decrees of the Council of Trent. He was canonized in 1930 and named a Doctor of the Church. Bellarmine is also widely remembered for his role in the Giordano Bruno affair and the Galileo affair. Bellarmine's books bear the stamp of their period; the effort for literary elegance had given place to a desire to pile up as much material as possible, to embrace the whole field of human knowledge, and incorporate it into theology. His controversial works provoked many replies, and were studied for some decades after his death. At Leuven he made extensive studies in the Church Fathers and scholastic theologians, which gave him the material for his book De scriptoribus ecclesiasticis (Rome, 1613). It was later revised and enlarged by Sirmond, Labbeus, and Casimir Oudin. Bellarmine wrote the preface to the new Sixto-Clementine Vulgate. —BOOKS— A COMMENTARY ON THE BOOK OF PSALMS STEPS OF ASCENSION TO GOD THE ART OF DYING WELL PUBLISHER: AETERNA PRESS

Gustavo 'Highway' Snchez is a man with a mission: he is planning to replace every last one of his unsightly teeth. He has a few skills that might help him on his way: he can imitate Janis Joplin after two rums, he can interpret Chinese fortune cookies, he can stand an egg upright on a table, and he can float on his back. And, of course, he is the world's best auction caller - although other people might not realise this, because he is, by nature, very discreet. Studying auctioneering under Grandmaster Oklahoma and the famous country singer Leroy Van Dyke, Highway travels the world, amassing his collection of 'Collectibles' and perfecting his own specialty: the allegoric auction. In his quest for a perfect set of pearly whites, he finds unusual ways to raise the funds, culminating in the sale of the jewels of his collection: the teeth of the 'notorious infamous' - Plato, Petrarch, Chesterton, Virginia Woolf et al. Written with elegance, wit and exhilarating boldness, Valeria Luiselli takes us on an idiosyncratic and hugely enjoyable journey that offers an insightful meditation on value, worth and creation, and the points at which they overlap.

A Haven No Longer written by Jean Harris Anderson and has been published by WestBow Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-09-25 with Fiction categories.

This story gives opportunity to explore end-times beliefs, and, hopefully, to examine some of those previously accepted as fact. You might think such an inquest predictably boring, for over the centuries the Church has repeated unaltered doctrinal beliefs regarding eschatology. It has been at times a subject largely ignored, or left for theologians to debate. And throughout history the study has had little variation, so any different interpretation to that which has already been laid out might seem heretical. But we are called out, for we are on the other side of this partition of Church history, awakening to what our departed brothers and sisters of this world were kept from viewing. It was all in God’s plan, but now there is a purpose for us to recognize the unveiling that has just begun. And the facts, as they now are discerned, must be identified and communicated. And it may seem surreal to view Biblical verses regarding our future, of which there are hundreds, with our highly technical and scientific world announcements. We may see there is not much difference in this juxtaposition. MIT’s Cheetah robot, and many other advanced robots, such as the Atlas humanoid of Boston Dynamics, are of varying appearance and are partially autonomous. “We developed the first robots that ran and maneuvered like animals,” a web quote from Boston Dynamics states. “And the shapes of the locusts are like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.” Revelation 9:7. What about moving sacred scriptural accounts from ancient realms of geography and human history into our vision of magnification with clarity and comprehension? Is there proof to substantiate the use of the Islamic prophet’s favorite color with that of the green alien from an unknown dimension, as portrayed in this work of Christian speculative fiction?
