The Perfect Teacher is a practical book for teachers of all levels of experience, which deals with the major issues of the profession, such as discipline, time management and teaching style, by showing teachers how other people see them. Schools are busy places, but spending most of the day in the company of 30+ children can still feel rather lonely. There is little time for teachers to make meaningful contact with other adults, to talk about how they can help one another and share ideas. And when these opportunities do arise, they are usually in formal circumstances: inspections, observations, appraisals and training days. As a result, it can be difficult for teachers to develop a fair view of their own practice. Many are overly self-critical, because they rarely get to see that they are not the only ones who struggle with certain students or have difficulties keeping up with the workload. Some find it tough, because they become too insular - they get stuck in the same routines, or feel that they have run out of ideas. Others become demoralised - they feel over criticised, undervalued and very misunderstood. The Perfect Teacher intends to light up the shadows of the classroom: to provide a multi-faceted insight into what makes a good teacher, taking the perspectives of different education related professionals as its starting point. It acts as a critical friend, helping teachers to reflect on their strengths whilst offering a range of viewpoints that may throw up new and fresh solutions to old problems. The book provides advice from classroom teachers (primary and secondary), parents, pupils, headmasters, senior teachers, social workers, special educational needs co-ordinators, support staff, teacher trainers, and school governors, which will provide readers with a broad and balanced profile of the 'perfect' teacher.

All successful schools have one thing in common - they are full of brilliant teachers. This doesn't happen by chance. If schools are to develop their teachers into first rate reflective and high performing practitioners, they need a varied and personalised CPD programme - based on collaboration and sharing best practice. This book looks at how schools can move away from the 'one size fits all' approach to CPD that still exists in a number of schools, to a CPD programme that will appeal to a range of teachers, unlocking the potential that exists within the staffroom. It's about excellence from within.

Lore Of Light written by Hajjah Amina Adil and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008 with History categories.

In a narration of Imam Ahmad, Abu Dharr asked Prophet Muhammad, "O Messenger of Allah, how many are the prophets?" He replied, "120,000 and between their number are 315 messengers." The Holy Quran mentions twenty-five of these messengers, namely: Adam, Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, David, Solomon, Job, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Zacharia, John (the Baptist), Idris (Enoch), Jonah, Hud, Shu ayb, Salih, Lot, Ilyas, Ilya sa, Dhu 'l-Kifl, Jesus and Sayyidina Muhammad, peace be upon them all. These are the messengers of God who came with holy books containing the Divine Message. The others are prophets who received divine revelation but who were not ordered to deliver it to anyone; it was for them. By way of example, all of Jacob's sons were prophets, but Joseph was the only messenger from among them. Laboriously compiled from rare manuscripts, traditional Islamic texts, and other printed source material, including ahadith and athar and the many traditional books of history, and painstakingly translated from Ottoman Turkish to English, Lore of Light depicts the perfected, blessed character and refined manners that God bestowed on His blessed prophets and messengers. This illustrious work examines the lives of the prophets and messengers of God in great detail, heretofore unknown in English literature on their lives. It depicts the great lengths to which these holy figures went - at times losing life, suffering humiliation, torment and abuse from those who opposed them, often leaving their homes, always tolerant of their attackers and seeking peace - to guide the many peoples and nations of the world towards the light which God has sent throughout time for humankind's betterment and upliftment.

Ethics And The Good Teacher written by Andrew Peterson and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-04-29 with Education categories.

Ethics and the Good Teacher brings together reviews of existing literature and analysis of empirical data from three research projects conducted by the Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues – The Good Teacher, Schools of Virtue and Teacher Education – to explore the ethical dimensions of the teaching profession. The book is premised on the idea that what constitutes a "good" teacher involves more than technical skills and subject knowledge. Understood as a professional activity, teaching involves an important ethical dimension, a fact that has come under increased scrutiny – and some would argue increased threat – over recent years as education and schooling have become shaped by market logic and accountability. Addressing the influence of personal and professional character on teachers and teaching, and containing clear implications for policy, practice and research, this book will be of great interest to teachers and other professionals working in education settings, as well as those working in educational policy. It will also appeal to academics, undergraduate students and postgraduate students researching the teaching profession and ethics/morality in education more generally.
