An agile company needs good decision making at all levels, from the center to the periphery, tapping into the full potential of the people, operating model, information technology, and leadership practices. Since decisions are made by people, this guide forces you to re-examine the assumptions underlying your leadership and how agility within your company can be built through a three-point, people-centric approach. The Triangle Strategy provides managers and the people who work for them with a clear understanding of what it takes to create a high-performing workplace. It is a practical handbook, an operational guide for managers and their teams. The aim of the Triangle Strategy is to unravel the complexities of the performance process. It takes well-known best practices for managing and leading and organizes them into a model that is both practical and useful. Its focus is on engagement as well as execution. It picks up where strategy development leaves off—when organizations rely on the effectiveness of individuals and groups to implement its plans. Though many companies develop smart, strategic plans, they often do not pay equal attention to the discipline and focus required for day-to-day execution. The book explores the key elements of the performance process: Goals, Leaders, Performers and Tasks. It describes each element and shows what it takes to align them effectively. As organizations respond to changes in economic and competitive conditions, it's more important than ever to understand the fundamentals required to create and maintain an engaged, execution-focused workforce.

The Triangle Strategy reinforces an interactive approach for managing and leading. Trust is the foundation of all meaningful relationships, yet 70 per cent of professionals don’t trust their managers. It’s a number that actually surprises few but profoundly concerns most of the awesome thought leaders alive today. From Simon Sinek to Patrick Lencioni, Paul Zak to Brené Brown, all agree that a lack of trust is the root of faltering relationships and mediocrity at work. What galvanised Matthew Davies to write this book was the lack of tools to address this appalling problem. There wasn’t a clear—or, more importantly—practical roadmap for building trust that centred on one of the most important relationships at work—you and your manager. By implementing The Trust Triangle, you can now offer teams an environment where you (the manager) and they (your team) can genuinely flourish at work, unburdened by the baggage of a people manager without people management skills. Here’s the business case in a nutshell. According to a massive study by Gallup, managers account for at least 70 per cent of the variance in employee engagement scores. So, if you want to build trust and increase performance at work, this book is for you. Trust is the highest form of human motivation - Stephen Covey

Patient-reported outcomes (PROs) are measures of how patients feel or what they are able to do in the context of their health status; PROs are reports, usually on questionnaires, about a patient's health conditions, health behaviors, or experiences with health care that individuals report directly, without modification of responses by clinicians or others; thus, they directly reflect the voice of the patient. PROs cover domains such as physical health, mental and emotional health, functioning, symptoms and symptom burden, and health behaviors. They are relevant for many activities: helping patients and their clinicians make informed decisions about health care, monitoring the progress of care, setting policies for coverage and reimbursement of health services, improving the quality of health care services, and tracking or reporting on the performance of health care delivery organizations. We address the major methodological issues related to choosing, administering, and using PROs for these purposes, particularly in clinical practice settings. We include a framework for best practices in selecting PROs, focusing on choosing appropriate methods and modes for administering PRO measures to accommodate patients with diverse linguistic, cultural, educational, and functional skills, understanding measures developed through both classic and modern test theory, and addressing complex issues relating to scoring and analyzing PRO data.
