Thomas and Mildred Johnson had gotten back from their vacation two days before. David and Pamela Bryant were waiting to hear all the exciting things that the Johnsons did while on vacation. The Bryants owned the boat. Neither one of them ever expected to encounter the experience of being captured by pirates. This story is going to have some interesting challenges in it. It will make you see how God works miracles in our lives every day and how he gets us out of life-threatening situations in ways we less expect. There is some humor also. Read on and enjoy!

I have always wanted to write children's books but I had never found the right moment, until the idea for The Christian Pirate popped into my head. I had only just moved into a new community and my family were invited to a local church. The church volunteers had organised a children's activity and dressed the children in pirates outfits. It was in that moment whilst watching the children embracing their roles that i thought, could there have ever been a Christian pirate? I also recognised that children need to be introduced to Jesus Christ in a subtle way and what better than to create a character that you would never consider to be a hero, but you could root for and in doing so, learn so much. It all seemed to make sense and I just hope it will make sense to all that choose to read this book.
