A New Model Of Capital Asset Prices written by James W. Kolari and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-03-01 with Business & Economics categories.

This book proposes a new capital asset pricing model dubbed the ZCAPM that outperforms other popular models in empirical tests using US stock returns. The ZCAPM is derived from Fischer Black’s well-known zero-beta CAPM, itself a more general form of the famous capital asset pricing model (CAPM) by 1990 Nobel Laureate William Sharpe and others. It is widely accepted that the CAPM has failed in its theoretical relation between market beta risk and average stock returns, as numerous studies have shown that it does not work in the real world with empirical stock return data. The upshot of the CAPM’s failure is that many new factors have been proposed by researchers. However, the number of factors proposed by authors has steadily increased into the hundreds over the past three decades. This new ZCAPM is a path-breaking asset pricing model that is shown to outperform popular models currently in practice in finance across different test assets and time periods. Since asset pricing is central to the field of finance, it can be broadly employed across many areas, including investment analysis, cost of equity analyses, valuation, corporate decision making, pension portfolio management, etc. The ZCAPM represents a revolution in finance that proves the CAPM as conceived by Sharpe and others is alive and well in a new form, and will certainly be of interest to academics, researchers, students, and professionals of finance, investing, and economics.

Strategic And Innovative Pricing written by Mathias Cöster and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-04-22 with Business & Economics categories.

This book provides a concrete guide on how to execute strategic pricing to excel in an increasingly dynamic and digitised business environment, while developing and deepening relations with contract partners. The secret lies in crafting innovative price models that reward joint value creation in accordance with the business model, rather than engaging in confrontative zero-sum pricing reasoning. Strategic and Innovative Pricing: Price Models for a Digital Economy provides hands-on tools that are applied on three interconnected levels of analysis. It illustrates how to explore the business ecology to understand its dynamics and how digitisation enables it to prosper and demonstrates how to construct a viable business model that enables an organisation to navigate in its vibrant ecology. Finally, and most importantly, it shows how to use innovative price models to realize and monetise the business model and its value offering, making the organisation and its partnerships sustainable. Models pertaining to the three levels of analyses are applied in rich case studies and examples from different countries, and the book includes guidelines on how to use them. Special attention is paid to digitisation as an underlying theme, making this book of interest to researchers, academics, and students in the fields of strategic management and technology & innovation management.

The world's foremost expert on pricing strategy shows how this mysterious process works and how to maximize value through pricing to company and customer. In this engaging and practical narrative, Hermann Simon leaves nothing out of the pricing cocktail, explaining each ingredient through dozens of stories collected over four decades in the trenches and behind the scenes. A world-renowned speaker on pricing and a trusted advisor to Fortune 500 executives, Simon's lifelong journey has taken him from rural farmers' markets, to a distinguished academic career, to a long second career as an entrepreneur and management consultant to companies large and small throughout the world. Along the way, he has learned from Nobel Prize winners and leading management gurus, and helped countless managers and executives use pricing as a way to create new markets, grow their businesses, and gain a sustained competitive advantage. Here, for consumers and business people alike, he reveals the secrets of successful pricing practices, and shares the wisdom and common sense that will forever change the way you thinking about pricing. "This is the best book I know to open your mind to the practical problems in setting your prices." PHILIP KOTLER, S.C. Johnson & Son Distinguished Professor of International Marketing at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. "Hermann Simon is 'The Pricing Man' and a giant within our discipline. With more than 40 years of experience in pricing research and practice with companies across the globe and across all major industries, he possesses the know-how to help organizations large, medium-sized, and small to improve their pricing acumen. This book will help you improve your pricing management skills, strategies, and tactics - and it will help your company also." KEVIN MITCHELL, President, The Professional Pricing Society, Inc. "Hermann Simon is a man who can get upset about being offered a 35 percent discount on a new digital camera. His fascination with 'willingness to pay' is infectious. As much as any individual, he is behind the professionalization of pricing in the past couple of decades." Price For Growth Condensed And Abridged written by Jeff Robinson and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-06-15 with categories.

This is the condensed and abridged summary of Price for Growth. The most important objective of any pricing strategy should be to improve the value of the company. But without a practical framework for connecting pricing strategies to company value, most companies fall back to the default pricing strategy of margin expansion, which can undermine the growth and retention of valuable customer relationships needed to power sustainable profit growth to maximize company value. Price for Growth explains in pragmatic terms how and why growth-focused pricing strategies typically outperform profit-focused pricing strategies, when it comes to increasing long-term company value. It promises to challenge conventional thinking about traditional profit-driven pricing strategies. With over twenty years' experience leading, designing, selling, and implementing pricing solutions used by hundreds of companies, the author provides practical insights and a prescribed step-by-step approach to transform pricing strategies to the growth-focused strategies necessary to capture, retain, and grow customer relationships in the new reality of digitally enabled customers. He makes concepts easy to understand though the use of "case parables" to illustrate key points. After establishing the foundation of the "five sacred metrics of pricing success," which directly connect to the value of the company, he demonstrates how to utilize these metrics to identify the highest impact opportunities to grow the value of the company through focused pricing strategies. This is followed by the building blocks of successful pricing strategies based on the respective improvement objective, including strategies to increase customer acquisition, increase existing customer revenues, reduce customer churn, expand margins, or reduce risk. Price for Growth is a must read for any CEO, CFO, or any other executive / manager who has responsibility for pricing and growth at any company who sells to repeat customers. Those who purchase the book can gain access to a companion website which includes downloadable example tools, presentations, and price communication templates to aid in the implementation of the recommended approaches at the reader's own company.
