This article introduces new neutrosophic principles aiming to extend and generalize the concepts of locality and nonlocality by addressing scenarios involving indeterminacy, together with partiality and multitude, in physics, mechanics, cosmology, biology, medicine, chemistry, economics, ecology, sociology. Locality refers to interactions or processes confined within a limited region of space or time. But there may be a Total (100%) Locality, or a Partial Locality (less than 100% and greater than 0%). The effects are constrained to the immediate environment. Contrariwise, NonLocality refers to interactions or connections between entities separated by space or time. The changes in one location have instantaneous effects on another. Similarly, there may be a Total (100%) NonLocality, or a Partial NonLocality (less than 100% and greater than 0%). Total (100%) or Partial (less than 100% and greater than 0%) Indeterminacy may arise from hidden variables and from environment. For instance, it may involve nonlocal connections between objects that are only partially entangled or influence each other in limited ways, rather than exhibiting complete freedom. The Principle of Partial Locality, Partial Indeterminacy, and Partial NonLocality implies an interplay of locality, indeterminacy, and nonlocality acting in a dynamic neutrosophic system. A generalization of (Locality, Indeterminacy, NonLocality) is the (MultiLocality, MultiIndeterminacy, MultiNonLocality). Practical examples from different fields are provided.

“Neutrosophic Sets and Systems” has been created for publications on advanced studies in neutrosophy, neutrosophic set, neutrosophic logic, neutrosophic probability, neutrosophic statistics that started in 1995 and their applications in any field, such as the neutrosophic structures developed in algebra, geometry, topology, etc. Neutrosophy is a new branch of philosophy that studies the origin, nature, and scope of neutralities, as well as their interactions with different ideational spectra. This theory considers every notion or idea together with its opposite or negation and with their spectrum of neutralities in between them (i.e. notions or ideas supporting neither nor ). The and ideas together are referred to as . Neutrosophy is a generalization of Hegel's dialectics (the last one is based on and only). According to this theory every idea tends to be neutralized and balanced by and ideas - as a state of equilibrium. In a classical way , , are disjoint two by two. But, since in many cases the borders between notions are vague, imprecise, Sorites, it is possible that , , (and of course) have common parts two by two, or even all three of them as well. Neutrosophic Set and Neutrosophic Logic are generalizations of the fuzzy set and respectively fuzzy logic (especially of intuitionistic fuzzy set and respectively intuitionistic fuzzy logic). In neutrosophic logic a proposition has a degree of truth (T), a degree of indeterminacy (I), and a degree of falsity (F), where T, I, F are standard or non-standard subsets of ]-0, 1+[. Neutrosophic Probability is a generalization of the classical probability and imprecise probability. Neutrosophic Statistics is a generalization of the classical statistics.

This volume contains the proceedings of the Mediterranean Conference on Neutrosophic Theory (MeCoNeT 2024), held at the Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti of the University of Messina on September 24-25, 2024. The event was organized by the MIFT Department (Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, and Earth Sciences) of the University of Messina, marking the first international congress on neutrosophic theories outside the Americas. This milestone has firmly established the Mediterranean region as a key hub for research in the rapidly growing field of neutrosophic theory. The MeCoNeT 2024 conference drew over 100 participants from more than 15 countries, with more than 50 scientific contributions selected through a rigorous peer review process. The hybrid format of the event—featuring in-person sessions at the historical Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti and online parallel sessions—allowed for broad international participation. The conference thus offered an ideal platform for sharing interdisciplinary research and addressing contemporary challenges in mathematics and beyond.

The study of uncertainty has been a significant area of research, with concepts such as fuzzy sets [87], fuzzy graphs [51], and neutrosophic sets [58] receiving extensive attention. In Neutrosophic Logic, indeterminacy often arises from real-world complexities. This paper explores the concept of locality as a key factor in determining indeterminacy, building upon the framework introduced by F. Smarandache in [73]. Locality refers to processes constrained within a specific region, where an object or system is directly influenced by its immediate s urroundings. In contrast, nonlocality involves effects that transcend spatial or temporal boundaries, where changes in one location have direct implications for another. This paper introduces the concepts of Local-Neutrosophic Logic and Local-Neutrosophic Set by integrating the notion of locality into Neutrosophic Logic. It provides their mathematical definitions and examines potential applications.

In the realm of quantum non-locality unfold the plots of a physics that defies intuition and questions the laws of our traditional understanding. It is a domain where the wonders of entanglement defy distance and time, turning into an enigma capable of shaking the foundations of our scientific and philosophical paradigms. Quantum non-locality raises questions that are intertwined with the realm of the paranormal, suggesting perspectives and parallels that, although often enclosed in the sphere of mystery, can be peered at in a new conceptual and scientific light. This book was created with the intention of exploring and elucidating the fundamentals of this fascinating phenomenology, beginning with a clear distinction between the notion of locality, emblematic of classical physics, and the extraordinary behavior of quantum non-locality. In classical physics, interactions between objects occur directly, within the boundaries of space and time-an approach that strictly respects the separation principle. In this context, any action must necessarily take place through some kind of medium or through a measurable interaction. However, quantum mechanics, grounded in a probabilistic concept, breaks these limits by showing how particles, once correlated, can influence each other in ways that defy spatial separation. In the second part, the book explores the theoretical and experimental evidence for non-locality, through Alain Aspect's experiments and Bell's test, crucial in proving that quantum predictions are real and verifiable. Such experiments constituted a milestone in the paradigm shift from a deterministic to a probabilistic universe, where particles, at immeasurable distances, share a deeper bond, refractory to the exacting eyes of classical determinism. The fundamental implications of this approach are twofold. On the one hand, there arises the possibility of rethinking the concept of reality, where separation is no longer an insurmountable constraint. On the other hand, the opportunity to interpret phenomena hovering between recognized science and the margins of the paranormal materializes from a new perspective. Many renowned scientists, such as Dean Radin, psychologist and consciousness researcher, suggest that non-locality could explain experiences such as telepathy, clairvoyance or even extra-sensory perception, prestigious examples of long-standing themes associated with the paranormal. The cultural and theoretical link between quantum physics and the paranormal also has its roots in figures such as Erwin Schrödinger. With his famous cat paradox, Schrödinger not only proposed a thought experiment that defies the classical logic of simultaneity of states, but also brought the scientific community closer, albeit ironically, to concepts that normally reside beyond the boundary of scientific orthodoxy. This gave rise to a fluid and debated field, a controversial bridge between scientific theories and widely popular beliefs. The book thoroughly examines all possible connections. In conclusion, the text guides the reader along a road that, while revealing unexplored parts of the quantum universe, retraces the path of ontological and philosophical questions about the very nature of reality and consciousness. It is a narrative that aims to bring into dialogue science and traditions, human experience and theoretical mathematics, in the hope of creating an intellectual canvas that explores without bias the potential of the human mind and the reality in which it operates.

This book provides a thorough and up-to-date introduction to the philosophy of quantum physics. Although quantum theory is renowned for its spectacular empirical successes, controversial discussion about how it should be understood continue to rage today. In this volume, the authors provide an overview of its numerous philosophical challenges: Do quantum objects violate the principle of causality? Are particles of the same type indistinguishable and therefore not individual entities? Do quantum objects retain their identity over time? How does a compound quantum system relate to its parts? These questions are answered here within different interpretational approaches to quantum theory. Finally, moving to Quantum Field Theory, we find that the problem of non-locality is exacerbated. Philosophy of quantum physics is aimed at philosophers with an interest in physics, while also serving to familiarize physicists with many of the essential philosophical questions of their subject.

The aim of this book is twofold: to provide a comprehensive account of the foundations of the theory and to outline a theoretical and philosophical interpretation suggested from the results of the last twenty years. There is a need to provide an account of the foundations of the theory because recent experience has largely confirmed the theory and offered a wealth of new discoveries and possibilities. On the other side, the following results have generated a new basis for discussing the problem of the interpretation: the new developments in measurement theory; the experimental generation of ?Schr”dinger cats?; recent developments which allow, for the first time, the simultaneous measurement of complementary observables; quantum information processing, teleportation and computation. To accomplish this task, the book combines historical, systematic and thematic approaches.
