She used the time on the flight to read the words of the past quests and was touched as they echoed her own feelings she read the familiar script of her grandmother: "I did not want to come as it was too close to losing the one person that understood who and what I was. She demanded that I come; she said that it was a journey into the soul of healing. I only wanted to curl up in her chair with her blanket and cry. Because it was her last wish of me I came for her and learned who I really was. I found the strength to stand for myself and realized that people can only have the power over another if it is allowed. I will not let anyone take control over my life and my dreams for I will be the one who says what I do and with whom I choose. In my walk through the glade I found peace and harmony I found the inner strength to be the person I want to be, not subservient to others I had to quit my position in the firm to come and I am glad that I did as now I know how to relax and to be in the moment and see the birds and nature and hear God in the trees and on the breeze. For this alone it was fortunate that I ventured on this quest and I just hope the rest of my stay is a pleasant I will return to the glade again on the morning and every morning until it is time to depart. I will do this for many reasons as this place is a place that time has forgotten and is pure untouched by modern influences. The healing power of peace to the soul and spirit is one that can only felt and not described. "She is here." The cousin who worked at the Tower as a maid responded, "He is here." Soon the town was buzzing and a call to the Tower confi rmed that the brunch was being arranged to welcome the end of the legend for the following day.

People Of The Swan written by Hubert Schuurman and has been published by Trafford Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2007-03-21 with Fiction categories.

After an award winning career in documentary film with the National Film Board of Canada, Schuurman has brought us a delightful fantasy. People of the Swan, transports us to a world of dancing swans, true love, and spirituality. It took years of striving for King Arcturus to get Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, Outlanders, Swannefolk and Mountain Fairies to agree upon a 'Common Book of Sacred Lore'. Wise counsel, patience and the great Unity Symposium held atop Mount Oneisis brought about the King's vision of unity amongst his people. For generations the people of Swanneland enjoyed a tranquil life by the silent waters of the Sanctus. They trained their great white swans in pattern swimming and aerial ballet. In spring folks from every corner of the Kingdom gathered in the town of Cascade for the splendid swan festivals. The Swannepeople were wonderful showmen and made a good living. Life in Cascade flowed quietly, like the waters of the great river. Few suspected it would ever change. Only the Dwarves living high above the valley knew otherwise. Who would listen to the Dwarves? Those prim and priggish warriors, talking doom and gloom. It was when darkness descended, that from amongst the womenfolk, arose Svanhild and Sunflower, to become the Kingdom's heroines. Throughout its pages we meet numerous enchanting characters. Svanhild's brother, Slim, an intense artistic youth who choreographs ballets for his teams of swans. The blithe Mountain Fairies Edel and Weiss, incurable dreamers and romantics. Svanhild the feisty swannemaiden, the great warrior Scimitar and his brother, the formidable Smithereen, a Dwarf of immense strength yet plagued by bouts of depression and self doubt. Nobody appreciates his poetry! Then follow the Sisters of the Secret Crossing, who guide the souls of the dying to the worlds beyond and Elmira, the elven child who received the gift of spirit travel from the hands of the enchantress Amaranth and the sorceress Matista whose psychic powers even beguile the pure in heart. The warp of this tapestry is the timeless struggle between good and evil, and the quest for power and everlasting youth. The woof has threads of many colours. It combines lore of the supernatural with new age spirituality and romantic charm. It explores the deeper layers of the psyche of the players, aided by the wisdom of the owls. The genre of this work falls between Lord of the Rings and Wind in the Willows. It should appeal to teens and adults alike.

The Feral Swan written by Charles Sarnoff and has been published by iUniverse this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2007-03 with Fiction categories.

THE FERAL SWAN tells of epic adventure, during a journey through the land of myth. In parallel, there unfolds the impact on plot of the maturation of symbolization in adolescence and in people of mature years. The prose is near poetic. The story is strong. Carl, a student, who escapes into fantasy when frustrated, tries to rewrite an epic poem as a novel. He decides to use his own fantasies in place of needed research. He adds a great battle for the castle at Inbal to illustrate how cowardly is a king. He adds new characters to challenge the reason for the quest of the king's general, the hero of the epic poem, Sadak. He has been sent on the quest to find the "waters of oblivion" which will erase his own image from its place in the memory of his wife. She has been abducted by the lecherous king, a man who is dependent on Sadak's strength for the safety of his kingdom. The epic hero enters the world of the dead, and returns to the land of the living with the elixir. During his return to life, Sadak is confronted by the spirit of a companion, who had been lost to the sea from their ship. The man, realizing that he has nothing to return to, rejects requests that he rejoin the living. Sadak continues to his home. On the way he replaces the elixir with poison. The king seizes the potion for himself, and dies. Carl's subterfuge is discovered. He learns to respond to reality, gives up dreaming, marries his girlfriend and gets a job writing fantasies for the movies.
