I have also expressed here, the traumas that my twin daughters and I have faced, and how a spiritual outlook and shifting our perceptions has assisted in navigating our challenges. It talks through my journey with mental health and how I used energy healing and alternative therapies to transform my understanding of this.

After discovering that Shelley’s youngest child had verbal communication delays and later being diagnosed as having Autistic Spectrum Conditions, she chose to look at life through the eyes of the child. Shelley was guided to look deeper into understanding him on a soul level and was intuitively learning new strategies to assist with his unpredictable emotions. This naturally created the space to support his siblings in the same way by exploring deeper beneath the surface and discovering that they both found it incredibly difficult to learn in todays’ mainstream school environments. Shelley embraces the spiritual and human aspects of life as a parent, as a fresh perspective was needed for her family. She learned of the impact early trauma had on her style of parenting and so it became her mission to reach other parents walking the same path. In this book, Shelley talks about her mental health journey and how a holistic approach to recovery and energy healing helped her make sense of childhood trauma and experienced birth trauma. She explains how parenting opened her eyes to a broken education system and how a ‘one size fits all’ approach within mainstream school doesn’t address the needs of every individual. Each child should be entitled to embrace a unique learning experience.

Wonder The Rainbow And The Aesthetics Of Rare Experiences written by Philip Fisher and has been published by Harvard University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1998 with Art categories.

Why pause and study this particular painting among so many others ranged on a gallery wall? Wonder, which Descartes called the first of the passions, is at play; it couples surprise with a wish to know more, the pleasurable promise that what is novel or rare may become familiar. This is a book about the aesthetics of wonder, about wonder as it figures in our relation to the visual world and to rare or new experiences. In three instructive instances--a pair of paintings by Cy Twombly, the famous problem of doubling the area of a square, and the history of attempts to explain rainbows--Philip Fisher examines the experience of wonder as it draws together pleasure, thinking, and the aesthetic features of thought. Through these examples he places wonder in relation to the ordinary and the everyday as well as to its opposite, fear. The remarkable story of how rainbows came to be explained, fraught with errors, half-knowledge, and incomplete understanding, suggests that certain knowledge cannot be what we expect when wonder engages us. Instead, Fisher argues, a detailed familiarity, similar to knowing our way around a building or a painting, is the ultimate meeting point for aesthetic and scientific encounters with novelty, rare experiences, and the genuinely new.

The Rainbow Of Experiences Critical Trust And God written by Kai-man Kwan and has been published by Bloomsbury Publishing USA this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2011-08-11 with Religion categories.

The question of whether religious experience can be trusted has been hotly debated in epistemology and philosophy of religion in recent years. Kwan surveys this contemporary philosophical debate, provides in-depth analysis of the crucial issues, and offer arguments for an affirmative answer to the above question. Kwan first argues against traditional empiricist epistemologies and defends Swinburne's Principle of Credulity which holds that we should trust our experiences unless there are special considerations to the contrary. The Principle of Credulity is renamed the Principle of Critical Trust to highlight the need for balance between trust and criticism and is used as the foundation for a new approach to epistemology, the Critical Trust Approach (CTA), which maintains an emphasis on experience but attempts to break loose of the straitjacket of traditional empiricism by broadening the evidential base of experience. Kwan then widens his focus by looking at theistic experience in the contemporary multicultural context.

INSIDE THE RAINBOW by Sandy Sinclair, Alaskan bush teacher Not just memoirs of an ol' teacher but the author deals with how the events of the past may be connected to our current life. Beside the Alaska adventures there are some significant points made throughout the book: - There is a word for word interview with OSAMA bin LADEN as repeated from this author's contact with Peter Bergen of CNN, the only western journalist ever to personally talk with the jihadist in his cave back in 1997. This clearly explains the nature of our current conflict. - Rosa Parks not going to the back of the bus affected America. - Passengers of flight 93 had the foresight to sacrifice themselves for preservation of their fellow Americans in Washington DC, targeted by the hijackers of that flight. - The Sec. of State stood against a belligerent congress in1867 to purchase Alaska from Russia proving the "collective wisdom" of our congress is often totally wrong. - JFK challenged us to do the impossible (go to the moon). This success gave us confidence to attempt other "impossibles." - Our total dependence on modern technical devises may be a big gain . But let us evaluate what we have lost in doing so. - There are productive ways for us all to deal with the national tragedy of Sept 11th 2001.
