Many people, both inside and outside of the church, are uncertain on the subject of end times. There are many people inside the church who view end times as unresolved, indeterminable, or totally up in the air. Those outside the church view end times as random, chance, or arbitrary. The schedule of events is established; the only uncertainty is the hour or day they will begin (1 Thess. 5:2). Both inside and outside of the church, inconclusive views, partial dispositions and false teaching are widespread concerning end times; which promotes uncertainty. Some interpreters point to every flood, earthquake or political upheaval as a sign that the final days are fast approaching. While these events may signal the approach of the final days, they are not definitively supported in the Bible. It is important to study Bible passages within their context. Taking verses out of context leads to error and misunderstanding. To fully understand context, four principles must be considered: literal meaning, historical setting, grammar, and synthesis. Context is crucial to biblical exegesis, in that it is one of its most important fundamentals. If all the same events are put together so that the contents of the Book of Revelation are sequential in time from beginning to end, then the Book of Revelation becomes easy to understand and even the meaning of the seven seals is easier to understand, without needing to be interpreted, because the meaning of the first to the third seal is found in another chapter of the Book of Revelation.

If he were to delay his coming, most are unprepared for the dark and difficult days ahead. I am afraid for the church! I am afraid many will fall away if the rapture does not occur as expected. I am afraid many are taking this too lightly, thinking they are guaranteed a seat on the rapture express but will be left behind because of complacency and indifference toward Christ and the gospel. Either way you look at it, the church is neither ready to leave, nor ready to go through!

Much has been written and discussed in the past seventy-five years about the event Christians call "the rapture" and the broader subject of "the end times." Hardly a week goes by that I don't hear some comment to the effect that the rapture could come at any time or, the statement "we are in the end times." I have often thought to myself - is this actually what the Bible teaches? Could the rapture happen at any time? Are we in the end times? To answer these questions, I decided to examine the Bible in depth, to see what it actually says about the rapture and the end times. And I was both surprised and amazed at what I found in the Scriptures. This book is a result of that effort. In this study, every passage in the Bible that describes or refers to the rapture is examined and analyzed. From this analysis, the connection between the rapture, the resurrection of the dead in Christ, and the book of life is brought to light. From these connections, every important question about the rapture is answered, including why there will be a rapture and when the rapture will occur. As a result of this study, much of the current and widely accepted teaching about the rapture and the end times is found to be incorrect and not supported in the Bible. For example, the pre-tribulation rapture teaching is exposed as both false and dangerous to the body of Christ. There are at least nine passages in Scripture that completely refute and disprove the pre-tribulation rapture teaching. The teaching of a seven-year tribulation split into equal halves of three and a half years each, is also found to be not supported in the Bible. Based on timeline markers in the book of Revelation, the Bible indicates that the tribulation will last longer than seven years, and very likely, much longer. Also, in this study, selected events during the tribulation are analyzed and discussed. This includes devastating earthquakes, a meteor striking the earth, an army of 200 million that will kill a third of mankind, the "two witnesses" of God who will prophesy on earth for three and a half years, and the "revealing" of the person commonly referred to as "the antichrist." Ways to identify who the antichrist will be, what event will elevate him to a position of total authority on earth, and how long he will hold that position are discussed in detail. Further, the appearance of the "false prophet" and the "mark of the beast" are also analyzed. Finally, based on fresh analysis of prophecies in the book of Daniel, new and exciting information is brought to light about when the Second Coming of Christ will occur.
