Lost children can return home safely if they possess critical information: their names, their parents' names, and their parents' correct address. Captive human spirits face a more monumental task since they animate human beings in the material universe, incapacitated by the fall from eternal glory of perfection. As humans, we often give too much of our attention to mundane daily life, forgetting our Father's name and where he dwells. Worst of all, many times, we do not even realize we are lost. Captive human spirits desiring spiritual salvation must first realize they are lost before they can rediscover their true selves. If they don't know where they came from, they cannot ask to return. They must seek and find a genuine guide and friend who can help direct them along the right pathway. Jesus Christ is the Father's sole redeemer for all the lost spirits in the universe. He has the divine mandate of our heavenly Father, and he is ready to help all who seek help concerning the stark realities of the material world. We all live the story of the prodigal son and should choose to return to the true God through Jesus Christ.

Job The Silent written by Bruce Zuckerman and has been published by Oxford University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1998-07-23 with Religion categories.

Offering an original reading of the book of Job, one of the great literary classics of biblical literature, this book develops a new analogical method for understanding how biblical texts evolve in the process of transmission. Zuckerman argues that the book of Job was intended as a parody protesting the stereotype of the traditional righteous sufferer as patient and silent. He compares the book of Job and its fate to that of a famous Yiddish short story, "Bontsye Shvayg," another covert parody whose protagonist has come to be revered as a paradigm of innocent Jewish suffering. Zuckerman uses the story to prove how a literary text becomes separated from the intention of its author, and takes on quite a different meaning for a specific community of readers.

Wagner And Venice Fictionalized written by John W. Barker and has been published by University Rochester Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012 with History categories.

The first account of how Wagner's last years and his death in Venice have been mythologized in novels and other works of the creative imagination. The vast literature about Richard Wagner and his works includes a surprising number of fictional works, including novels, plays, satires, and an opera. Many of these deal with his last years and his death in Venice in 1883 -- andeven a fabricated eleventh-hour romance. These fictional treatments -- many presented here in English for the first time -- reveal a striking evolution in the way that Wagner's character and reputation have been viewed over more than a century. They offer insights into changing contexts in Western intellectual and cultural history. And they make clear how much Wagner's associations with Venice have become part of the accumulated mythology of "thefloating city." John Barker's Wagner and Venice Fictionalized: Variations on a Theme will be of interest to all lovers of opera, Venice, and European culture generally. John W. Barker is Emeritus Professor of History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, specializing in medieval (including Venetian) history. He is also a passionate music lover and record collector, and an active music critic and journalist.

The Fantasy Principle written by Michael Vannoy Adams and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2004-03-18 with Psychology categories.

Contemporary psychoanalysis needs less reality and more fantasy; what Michael Vannoy Adams calls the 'fantasy principle'. The Fantasy Principle radically affirms the centrality of imagination. It challenges us to exercise and explore the imagination, shows us how to value vitally important images that emerge from the unconscious, how to evoke such images, and how to engage them decisively. It shows us how to apply Jungian techniques to interpret images accurately and to experience images immediately and intimately through what Jung calls 'active imagination'. The Fantasy Principle makes a strong case for a new school of psychoanalysis - the school of 'imaginal psychology' - which emphasizes the transformative impact of images. All those who desire to give individuals an opportunity to become more imaginative will find this book fascinating reading.

Christ Reborn For The End Of Days written by Minister Donald Drickland and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-06-20 with categories.

You may think life looks good today, but it will soon end in a horrifying apocalypse. It might not be today, but it won't be far off. So I wanted to warn Christians today that, for those who want to be ready for the end of the world, there is a great deal of preparation to be done.Follow God and we will live in paradise. But to live a passive life, to not prepare for heaven, to deny that the end times are approaching, is to embrace eternal damnation. This is one of the reasons that I became a minister. I want to live out this plan of God, a plan I believe shows clearly that this world will come to a close. This plan is based on His judgment, judgement based on His righteousness. This plan is based on the promises He made to the children of Israel. This plan is based on God's atoning service as the Redeemer of the world. My hope for you, sister and brother Christians, is that in spite of all the trials and tribulations of this earthly life, you will learn, once again, that the true hope is that of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, who heals the sick, sanctifies the wine, heals the brokenhearted and the lost, and is able to reign on the whole earth as Lord and savior. Jesus knows the suffering of this life, and at the same time He knows the oneness with all other worlds. That is the depth of His desire and understanding of this life. He is not like you and me.Only He is the Savior. And He knows that in our oneness with Him, we may be saved.

Theology Of Wagner S Ring Cycle Ii written by Richard H. Bell and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020 with Music categories.

(Vol 1.) Wagner's Ring is one of the greatest of all artworks of Western civilization, but what is it all about? The power and mystery of Wagner's creation was such that he himself felt he stood before his work "as though before some puzzle." A clue to the Ring's greatness lies in its multiple avenues of self-disclosure and the corresponding plethora of interpretations that over the years has granted ample scope for directors and will no doubt do so well into the distant future. One possible interpretation, which Richard Bell argues should be taken seriously, is the Ring as Christian theology. In this first of two volumes, Bell considers, among other things, how the composer's Christian interests may be detected in the "forging" of his Ring, looking at how he appropriated his sources (whether they be myths and sagas, writers, poets, or philosophers) and considering works composed around the same time, especially his Jesus of Nazareth. -- back cover.
