The Revived Roman Empire and the European Union is a brief look at ancient history, present day events of the existing European Union vs, America, and prophecy of things to come. It leads the reader from Daniel's prophecy of the four great empires that appeared before the time of Christ, to the events of the modern day world we now live in, the expansion of the European Union, and beyond. This book shows the accuracy of Daniel's prophecies of time from the first to the sixty-nine week period spoken of before the Son of Man would appear on earth. It also speaks of the Seventieth Week of Daniel's prophecy concerning the rapture of the church and the following Tribulation Period, its events, and what lay beyond the tribulation period. It is a must read for every Christian and a highly interesting read for every non-Christian.

Since the time of the Early Church Fathers, Christians have sought to unravel the mystery of the fourth empire spoken of by the prophet Daniel. Despite the explicit detail provided by Daniel, and the additional insights of the apostle John in the Book of Revelation, the identity of the final world empire has continued to frustrate commentators and polarise popular opinion. And yet now, with the privilege of being able to survey the two-and-a-half millennia that makes up our history since the days of Daniel, we are not only able to correctly identify the fourth empire, but also anticipate the likely sequence of events that will take place in the near future. It will transpire that Europe is the location over which a celestial struggle is taking place to revive the fourth empire in preparation for the ascendance of the antichrist. As such, Europe stands as the bloodiest and most anti-Semitic continent on earth. You will discover: - The identity of Daniels four world empires. - How the fourth empire has undergone seven distinct episodes of revival. - The significance of the Roman Catholic Church in the evolution of Europe. - Why ancient Babylonian imagery has been embraced by the European Union. The current evolution of the European Union is intrinsically linked to Bible prophecy. Understanding what God seeks to do in Europe, at this most anticipated moment in history, will enable you to rise to unparalleled levels of influence in your sphere of ministry.

Although there is broad consensus among Bible prophecy scholars that the times of the gentiles will continue until the return of Jesus Christ, the century-old, traditional interpretation holds that Daniel’s fourth, gentile kingdom (the Roman Empire) ceased to exist in AD 476 in the West at Rome and, therefore, must be “revived” politically in the beginning of the seven-year tribulation period. That prevailing viewpoint is obscuring a clear understanding of the continuing existence of the fourth kingdom as well as its fulfillment in history of important prophecies related to the end times. Peters forewarned about this potential interpretation problem in The Theocratic Kingdom (1884). Daniel’s Fourth Kingdom: (1) establishes that the divided Roman Empire still exists today and explains why that fact matters regarding the season of Christ’s return; (2) respectfully questions the traditional interpretation; (3) exhorts the church to love not the temporal kingdoms of this world but, instead, to embrace her gospel-inspired, Holy Spirit-empowered, love-driven, apolitical, evangelical mission to share the gospel with all nations while expecting the possibly imminent pretribulation rapture; and (4) invites all readers, believers and skeptics alike, to consider the relevance of the Bible concerning world history, current events, and the future.

“In his detailed study of Daniel 11, the author seeks to extend the thematic parallelism between Daniel 2, 7, 8 and 9 to Daniel 10–12. Drawing on well-established Adventist principles of interpretation and insights on Daniel 11 from the Spirit of Prophecy, the author proposes that Daniel 11 follows the well-established sequence of historical powers outlined in Daniel 2, 7 & 8. He argues that the common Adventist interpretation in which the narrative moves forward in time to the crucifixion in v. 22, only to then move back in time to the Maccabean alliance is without exegetical basis nor interpretive precedent within Daniel. “The author then provides a new interpretation of Daniel 11.23–29, arguing that this particular passage with its confrontation between the Kings of the North and the South represents the conflicts between the two competing and persecuting unions of church and state that followed imperial Rome, i.e. Papal Rome and Byzantium. This transition from imperial to papal Rome, and to a persecuting union of church and state in Daniel 11.23–29 mirrors the same sequencing of powers found in Daniel 2, 7 & 8. The author then moves to a commonly-held Adventist interpretation (particularly from the time of Louis Were onwards) for vv. 36–39, arguing that these verses represent the full flowering of papal arrogance and supremacy prior to the ending of the 1,260 year prophecy. Particularly insightful is how the author sequences verses 23–39 against the flow of chapters in The Great Controversy between Christ and Satan by Ellen G. White. “The author arrives at v. 40, interpreting (as do many Adventist interpreters) the time of the end as beginning at the end of the 1,260 year prophecy, i.e. in AD 1798, but the author does not provide a detailed analysis of the conflict between the Kings of the North or the South in vv. 40–45. While the identity of the KON is clear (papal Rome, backed by the military might of the West in general and the USA in particular), the identity of the KOS remains more obscure, although the author does indicate provisional backing for the atheism interpretation held commonly among Adventists since the writings of Louis Were and Dr. Hans LaRondelle. Detailed appendices provide helpful interpretive information to guide the reader in further study. “Throughout the book, the author seeks to follow well-established Adventist principles of interpretation (which he helpfully outlines early on) and a brief but detailed analysis of the commentary found in the Spirit of Prophecy. He builds his case on the well-established portrayal of a persecuting union of church and state that would arise after pagan Rome in Daniel 2, 7 & 8. This approach lends credibility to the conclusions relating to the identities of the KON and the KOS in 11.23–39. Further work is required however to identify how and if the KOS in vv.40–45 is also a persecuting union of church of state, or a secular equivalent, if the well-established patterns found earlier in Daniel are to be continued throughout Daniel 11. This book is a welcome and insightful addition to the ongoing prayerful reflection on this critical portion of eschatological prophecy within the wider SDA community.” —Dr. Conrad Vine, President, Adventist Frontier Missions, Inc.

This bibliography contains careful and bias-free annotations of close to 3,500 works written over many centuries about the end of the world, predominantly but not entirely from a Christian perspective. The books, pamphlets, websites, and selected other media cover a wide variety of eschatological beliefs--from the numerous fundamentalist scenarios to the mystical and the violent--and include such topics as the Tribulation, the Rapture, the Millennium, Armageddon, the Second Coming, the Antichrist, and the Apocalypse. Works on other major religions (such as Judaism, Islam), the mythos of popular cultures (Mayan prophecies, Norse Ragnarok), UFO, occult and psychic theories (Heaven's Gate, Nostradamus), and secular theories (Y2k+ computer chaos) can be found. The work is in four parts (plus indexes). Entries in the pre-1800 part are arranged chronologically beginning with the Books of Enoch in the second century BC. Other entries are arranged alphabetically within the three chronological subdivisions of 1800-1910, 1910-1970, and post-1970. All include full bibliographic information and annotations regarding format, type of work, theme, the author's background, the category of theories espoused, distinctive or notable characteristics, the intended readership, and the significance of the work. There are cross-references to works by the same author. An introduction describes major types of beliefs, outlines basic Fundamentalist end-of-the-world scenarios, summarizes Biblical sources, and explains important terms, concepts and relationships among sources. The work is extensively indexed by author, title, and subject.
