The genre of Horror is a decaying animal. Brick and Mortar Bookstores do not carry horror anymore. The Small Press are run like family businesses and no stirring the pot is allowed. They play it safe by publishing their friends and friends of friends. This leads to horribly boring alleged horror in the Small Presses. Amazon's Createspace is helping to change things. No longer does a potential reader have to settle for paying high prices for inferior work. THE SECOND PERVERSION crashes through the barriers of the boring and predictable Small Press and brings Horror back as a valid genre. Like Tears of Gold, THE SECOND PERVERSION will make you laugh, perhaps a tear or two will be shed, but most of all what the characters go through will surely chill you to the bone. THE SECOND PERVERSION will scare you. It may bring back some memories from your past. It will entertain you. Yes, you will find it disturbing. It will take you on a journey into the bowels of evil. The six innocents who get caught up in the war between good and evil are your normal every day High School students. Tom and Selma are twins who are friends with Al, Bruce, Jaime and Winona. Up until their last vacation together as High Schoolers they never looked at each other in a sexual manner. They are about to graduate and move on with the rest of their lives, probably separately. This is part coming of age story as they become aware that their feelings for each other may be more than friendship. What happens to them after they are captured is one of the most disturbing scenes in Horror. It is also a race against time story. Jeff (from Tears of Gold) has a plant in one of his Mutates. The Plant is there to get as much information as possible. Problem is Jeff has lost track of the Plant. Chris, who is a slowly evolving Mutate, is captured because it is impossible for him to keep his mouth closed. He talks himself into trouble all the time. Chris pissed off the wrong people. He is taken captive from the still secretive other side. Chris has another problem in that sex is constantly on his mind no matter what the situation. Needless to say this also gets Chris into a heap of trouble. Jeff catches a break. They do know roughly where Chris disappeared. Jessica is sent on what appears to be a suicide mission to get captured and find Chris. This will also lead Jeff and the Mutates to the compound they have been trying to locate for a long time. They keep track of Jessica. Jessica joins the party people which includes Tom and Selma. She gets captured along with the rest and are brought to the secret compound. The compound is a place of experiments and nightmare. It stinks of pure evil. Chris finds out what the face of evil looks like. Tom and Selma fall into the soulless pit. THE SECOND PERVERSION is part coming of age, part love story, part Fantasy, and it is ALL Horror.

The masochist, the voyeur, the sadist, the sodomite, the fetishist, the pedophile, and the necrophiliac all expose hidden but essential elements of the social relation. Arguing that the concept of perversion, usually stigmatized, ought rather to be understood as a necessary stage in the development of all non-psychotic subjects, the essays in Perversion and the Social Relation consider the usefulness of the category of the perverse for exploring how social relations are formed, maintained, and transformed. By focusing on perversion as a psychic structure rather than as aberrant behavior, the contributors provide an alternative to models of social interpretation based on classical Oedipal models of maturation and desire. At the same time, they critique claims that the perverse is necessarily subversive or liberating. Theoretical understanding of perversion is neglected in analytical psychology, and narrowly developed in psychoanalysis, where it traditionally refers to sexual perversion. Etymological exploration of the word "perversion", including its use in religious, moral, sociological and legal contexts, reveals a wider meaning than that adopted in psychoanalysis. The aim of the author is to revise the psychoanalytic model through the introduction of Jungian concepts that extend the understanding of perversion beyond the bounds of sexuality to a more general relational context. By describing the development of psychoanalytic thinking on perversion in detail, the author is able to highlight the central differences between the Freudian and Jungian interpretive traditions and to explain why Jungian ideas on perversion have remained underdeveloped, leading to the absence of a unique or available Jungian contribution to the theory of perversion.
