The Transmedia Franchise Of Star Wars Tv written by Dominic J. Nardi and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-11-11 with Performing Arts categories.

While previous work on the Star Wars universe charts the Campbellian mythic arcs, political representations, and fan reactions associated with the films, this volume takes a transmedial approach to the material, recognizing that Star Wars TV projects interact with and relate to other Star Wars texts. The chapters in this volume take as a basic premise that the televisual entrants into the Star Wars transmedia storyworld are both important texts in the history of popular culture and also key to understanding how the Star Wars franchise—and, thus, industry-wide transmedia storytelling strategies—developed. The book expands previous work to consider television studies and sharp cultural criticism together in an effort to bring both long-running popular series, long-ignored texts, and even toy commercials to bear on the franchise’s complex history.

Have you ever wondered which franchises are the best businesses to buy? Ever wondered how much money you can make with a franchise? How about how much the good franchises cost? Curious how to find the good franchises (and avoid the bad ones)? Well, here's a little secret...the answers to all of those questions are in this Franchise Investment Guide. Exactly what you're getting: This Guide is dramatically different from anything you've ever read because it's more of a "field guide" about how to find and invest in great franchises versus a traditional book. The reason why is because there's no fluff or filler. It immediately gets down to brass tacks, showing you exactly what to do, how to do it, and why. Plus, it's easy to read. At just 48 pages, you can read it an afternoon. And, you'll immediately "get" the entire methodology used by real people who have used a franchise to achieve incredible personal, lifestyle and financial success. It answers questions like... Why would a successful real estate investor invest in a certain hair care franchise and open fifteen of them? Why would an attorney for one of the world's largest manufacturing companies quit his job to start a particular disaster restoration franchise? Why would a very successful corporate executive decide to open multiple locations of an emerging franchise (while he kept his job)? Why would an accountant, banker, and entrepreneur all invest in the same boutique fitness franchise (and each open multiple locations)? It also talks about... Franchising and how it's more than just fast food Where to find great franchises (hint: it's not surfing the internet or going to franchise trade shows) The indicators and characteristics of great franchises The four most important things you need to have success with a franchise The Entrepreneurial Mindset vs the Consumer Mindset The story of a corporate executive who turned down a life-changing promotion to start a franchise How to figure out how much money you can make even though franchise companies can't give you financial projections Something more important than money Exit strategy options (as in cashing out) And much more...

All Things Being Equal written by Lenny Moore and has been published by Sports Publishing LLC this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2006 with African American football players categories.

He played with a quiet confidence. Statistically, he had few peers. Even now, almost forty years after his first professional contest, his impressive body has withstood the test of time. He was Marshall Faulk before there was a Marshall Faulk. He could catch, he could run, he could block--he did everything. In his complete autobiography, All Things Being Equal, Hall of Fame running back Lenny Moore shares his entire story. Moore recounts many fascinating life experiences, beginning with his upbringing in a blue-color family of thirteen in Reading, Pennsylvania. He explores his standout, yet challenging time in Happy Valley playing for an already legendary coach in Penn State's Rip Engle, and one in-training--Joe Paterno. He also delves into his professional football career with the Baltimore Colts that saw him reach new heights as the MVP of the NFL in 1964. Throughout his amateur and professional career, Moore's toughest competitor was often racism, which battled Moore tooth for tooth. But, as Moore would learn, life would pose other significant battles once his spikes were hung up. Other immortals who played with him--like Johnny Unitas, Gino Marchetti, and Raymond Berry--would easily transition into life after football. Some became businessmen; others carved a new career path as coaches or general managers--but not Moore. In great detail, he describes his difficulties in shifting from having fame and notoriety to not being able to find employment in the town in which he was once celebrated. But Moore eventually found his calling, working with troubled Maryland juveniles, and establishing the Leslie Moore Schorlarship Foundation benefiting underprivileged youths. Today, he also workstoward finding a cure for Scleroderma, after his son passed away of the disease in 2001. Ultimately, All Things Being Equal is the touching journey of one man's self-discovery that, unfortunately, all things are seldom equal.
