My book is to help you start running in an easy, simple way if you have asthma. Some people may say running is boring, and others may find it enjoyable. Running can be made easy and fun even if you have asthma. Running is one of the most inexpensive ways to keep fit, lose weight, and stay in shape. It doesnt cost the price of joining a gym or hiring a personal training coach. All you need is a pair of running sneakers, shorts, and a T-shirt. Training will come easy by putting one foot in front of the other and by being consistent. I hope my book will encourage and help you overcome any concerns you may have while running with asthma. I have always had an interest in health (exercising and eating healthy), and I enjoy sharing my knowledge with my friends, colleagues, and family. I decided to increase this knowledge and learn, in a formal training program, how to live a better life through eating well and taking care of myself. Im not only learning to improve my life but I have also received detailed and careful instructions on how to coach others in food and lifestyle choices. Its an exciting time for me! I look forward to sharing more with you about my new career path and all the benefits of this work. I appreciate being able to share this with you. Please feel free to visit my Facebook page, Vitamin K, to get a preview of what I am up to.

Programmed To Run written by Thomas Miller and has been published by CreateSpace this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-11-30 with categories.

As a novice 65 years old in his first year of running, our cover runner, John Cahill came to Dr. Miller to learn the physical and mental skills he needed to race a marathon. At 66 in his first marathon he ran a 3:04. At 72, he ran the same marathon in 3:05. As he approached 80, he was still running sub-4hr marathons. Now, in his early 90s, John typically runs a 5K nearly every weekend when he is not traveling around the world. In PROGRAMMED TO RUN, Dr. Miller shares how he developed the concepts that led to John's success - and countless other runners. Simply put, your running/racing potential is grounded in your biomechanical and attentional skills, which are intimately related. This book is a guide for the self-coached runner -regardless of sex, age, body type, or ethnicity - to assess, refine, and "program" optimal running and racing skills, which, as demonstrated by John, can last a lifetime. "After more than a decade of teaching thousands of runners, my staff, students, and I have concluded that PROGRAMMED TO RUN is the best guide to improving your running and racing available today. It is practical, easily understood, and illustrated with interesting and motivating stories based on Tom's own running and racing experiences, field research, and anecdotes of how novice runners transformed themselves into masters of their sport." Curt Munson, the founder of Good Form Running and past president of the National Running Retailers Association (2013). "When this book first came out in 2002, we said in the July/August issue, 'Miller's book is one of the most accessible and practical books we've seen on those minute and intangible elements that make the difference between good and great performances.' Programmed to Run contains timeless guidance and should be part of every serious runner's library today." Jonathan Beverly, Editor, Running Times magazine (2013). "I grew up practicing the elements of elite running technique because Tom was a frequent instructor at my parents' running store. Our zero drop shoes are designed to be used with the technique described in this book." Golden Harper, founder of Altra Running Shoes. A "Best of 2014" Amazon Editors' Choice!

From Sidelines To Startlines written by Sarah Richardson and has been published by Morgan James Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-11-07 with Sports & Recreation categories.

A coach reveals how you can recommit to running, one step at a time, in a book that “will get you back on the road with regained confidence” (Sabra Hawkes, USA Paralympian, Track and Field). From Sidelines to Start Lines is for frustrated former runners who are feeling like frauds for sitting on the couch or behind the computer for far too many days (or years). If you want to get back into running to improve your health, your social life, and your sanity, this book is for you. When you clarify what has really been holding you back and keeping you from logging your miles, you’ll be free to train effectively for any race and victoriously cross any finish line. Drawing from her own experience as a runner who had to overcome a four-year hiatus, and from her work with running clients, Sarah Richardson carefully explains what it takes to successfully re-create healthy running habits in your busy life. While training plans and books about running are easy to come by, From Sidelines to Start Lines takes it a step further. Rather than just telling you what you should do, what you should buy, and how far to run, Sarah Richardson helps runners deal with the Inner Game that often keeps people sidelined. She teaches you how to lay a solid running foundation with four supportive pillars that will create a joyful, personal, and sustainable running plan. With practical activities and real-life examples, this book will teach you how to commit to rather than resist your practice.
