Enter Kynesis, a city woven not of stone and steel, but of shared dreams. Its iridescent architecture shimmers against the ochre sands of the Whisperlands, a desert whose secrets only Zynathra, a cartographer of mindscapes, can truly hear. But Kynesis’s dream is fracturing. The Seven-Faced Oracle, the living embodiment of the city's collective unconscious, has fallen silent, and its vibrant reality is twisting into a nightmare. Summoned by the enigmatic Veiled Council, Zynathra is entrusted with a perilous mission: journey into the Oracle’s psyche and uncover the source of its silence. Armed with a shard of forbidden Mindglass, she plunges into a kaleidoscopic labyrinth of the mind. In the Zone of Mirrors, she confronts fragmented reflections of herself – the warrior she could have been, the scholar she might become – each whispering temptations of alternate realities. Beyond the mirrors lies the Zone of Endless Voices, a cacophony of Kynesis’s fears and forgotten memories, where the whispers of long-dead architects and historians claw at her sanity. And then, the desolate expanse of the Zone of Forgotten Names, where identities evaporate like mist, threatening to erase Zynathra’s very being. But Zynathra is not alone within the Oracle's fractured mind. She encounters others lost within its depths, their stories intertwined with the city’s precarious existence, revealing a truth more complex than she could have imagined. The Oracle is not a god, but a chorus of fragmented consciousnesses – the remnants of Kynesis's founders, trapped in a perpetual dream, their unresolved traumas now tearing the city apart. Zynathra faces an agonizing dilemma: restore the Oracle’s voice and risk unleashing chaos, or allow the city to dissolve into individual nightmares. With the Mindglass pulsing against her palm, she makes a daring choice. She won't restore the old dream, but weave a new one, a tapestry of resilience woven from the threads of shared pain and collective hope. Can she reshape the city's psyche and rewrite its future, or will the whispers of the Whisperlands consume Kynesis, shattering its dream forever?

Throughout history, divination has been an important tool for seeking guidance from the gods. Fortunately, several classical divination systems are available to us again today. The Oracles of Apollo shows how to use two rediscovered divination systems: the Alphabet Oracle, a system that uses the ancient Greek alphabet, and the Counsels of the Seven Sages, a series of 147 short, oracular statements that were inscribed on tablets at Delphi. This book shares divination techniques and rituals—including the use of alphabet stones, dice, staves, beads, and coins—and interpretations of the outcomes to help you integrate the wisdom of the gods and goddesses. These oracles were originally designed thousands of years ago to provide insights into practical matters and deeper issues...and they can be used again today.

That the works of the ancient tragedians still have an immediate and profound appeal surely needs no demonstration, yet the modern reader continually stumbles across concepts which are difficult to interpret or relate to – moral pollution, the authority of oracles, classical ideas of geography – as well as the names of unfamiliar legendary and mythological figures. A New Companion to Greek Tragedy provides a useful reference tool for the ‘Greekless’ reader: arranged on a strictly encyclopaedic pattern, with headings for all proper names occurring in the twelve most frequently read tragedies, it contains brief but adequately detailed essays on moral, religious and philosophical terms, as well as mythical genealogies where important. There are in addition entries on Greek theatre, technical terms and on other writers from Aristotle to Freud, whilst the essay by P. E. Easterling traces some connections between the ideas found in the tragedians and earlier Greek thought.

Odysseus must fight for the honor of his family, the survival of his people, and the glory of his goddess—from the author of Athena’s Champion. When Prince Odysseus is sent on a quest to recover his family honor, he’s led to Delos where a mysterious new prophecy has captivated the gods. Caught in a tangled web of intrigue, he discovers that this prophecy is tied to his own destiny and the fate of his patron goddess, Athena. With the future of his people hanging by a thread, Odysseus, the daemon Bria, the hero Diomedes and a small band of loyal Ithacans, must unveil the truth before it’s too late. But opposing them is Tiresias, the greatest seer of the age, who will do anything to burn his own vision onto the face of history. Caught between the prophecy, the gods and his mortal enemies, Odysseus must start a war: one that may be impossible to win . . . Oracle’s War, second in the epic Olympus Series, is perfect for fans of David Gemmell and Madeline Miller. Praise for Athena’s Champion “If you like magic and mayhem wrapped around ancient historical legends, this cup of nectar has your name on it. Tyler McAdam Harisson had a dream. He was given an egg, and a letter snugged in a parchment envelope, whilst a lady in black robes, surrounded with purple flames, floated in the air. Raindrops suspended in the thick atmosphere around them, and some delusional remarks that changed his life forever–something about the dark lord and immortality. Tyler had lived his whole life believing that he's such a sore loser and an untrustworthy person. Countless times that he had witnessed himself fail and prove nothing. After he learnt who his birth father was, he still hesitated and doubted. He was given the task no mortal human could ever perceive, and now he must come to terms with his father who abandoned him, face terrible monsters, brawl with horrendous witches and wizards, and come face to face with the Olympians. Will Tyler choose to take matters into his own hands and fight for the people who believe in him? Or will his fear of uncovering the dark truth and secrets about the two greatest wizards get the best of him?

In this volume, Stanisław Rosik focuses on the meaning and significance of Old Slavic religion as presented in three German chronicles (the works of Thietmar of Merseburg, Adam of Bremen, Helmold of Bosau) written during the time of the Christianization of the Western Slavs. The source analyses show the ways the chroniclers understood, explained and represented pre-Christian beliefs and cults, which were interpreted as elements of a foreign, “barbarian”, culture and were evaluated from the perspective of Church doctrine. In this study, individual features of the three authors are discussed– including the issue of the credibility of their information on Old Slavic religion– and broader conclusions on medieval thought are also presented.

The book is devoted to upholding the author’s concept of the formation of the state of Russia from the tribes of the Wends who came from the Baltic States, and the autochthonous tribes of the North-Siverts of Sarmatian-Hunnic origin, who had already created a state called the Khazar or Russian Khaganate. The book proves that the Sivertsy northerners are part of the Huns who have always lived in this territory, and it was their language that became the basis of the Russian language.
