The messianic application to Israel’s memorial feasts is central to his preparation to enjoy his long-awaited eternal freedom. In The Seven Feasts of Israel and the Messiah, 3rd Edition, Dr. Jean explores the purpose of the different sabbaths given to Israel and how each point to a unique aspect of either creation or redemption. The gospel to the chosen people is explained in a unique and fresh perspective. Tracing the path of their dispersion, punishment, and re-acceptance is clearly mapped. God’s latter-day program for the chosen people can now be seen from clear messages from the Bible. The panorama begins as Israel performs her seven solemn, ritualistic feasts pointing to the downfall of the walls of her spiritual captivity. The messianic application to Israels memorial feasts is central to her preparation to enjoy her long-awaited eternal freedom. As this theme remains the central focus, it is followed by the redemption of the world as revealed through these feasts. So beautifully illustrated in the Tenach--the Jewish Bible--is how the Messiah was predicted by these feasts to be the Savior of the world. In the Hebrew language, the word "feasts" literally means "appointed times." God appointed Seven Feasts for the Hebrew people to celebrate and to remember until the end of time. Through those Seven Feasts, God not only spoke directly of his plan for mankind, but he also gave us some beautiful historical - and future - pictures of his plan of redemption and provision embedded within the precepts of the ancient Mosaic Law. As we look at each of these Seven Feasts, we should not only be amazed and astonished at God's consistency and perfection in all that he does; but we should also realize that each event prophesied in the Seven Feasts has, thus far, unfolded perfectly and will continue to do so in the time to come. The first Four Feasts were fulfilled in the days of Christ and the Early Church; but the last three await God's perfect timing for their fulfillment in the End Time.

When God liberated Israel from Egyptian slavery, He gave them 10 commandments by which to live at Mt. Sinai. He also gave the people 7 Holy Feasts to observe each year to commemorate and remember how He rescued them from servitude and persecution. These were called the 7 Feasts of Israel. Four were in the Spring and three were in the Fall. In the Old Testament, prophets wrote of a Jewish Messiah who would someday be sent from God to atone for their sins permanently. Unknown to Israel and the Jews was that this redeemer was none other than Jesus Christ. The 7 Feasts were given for two reasons: The first was to commemorate the deliverance of Israel from Egyptian bondage and slavery. The second was to prophesy of 7 events which will herald the first and second coming of Jesus Christ. The prophetic aspects of the first four Feasts were completely fulfilled at the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The last three will be fulfilled as the 70th week of Daniel and the current Church Age come to a close. Each feast was called a Moed, which is Hebrew for set time or an appointed time. The 7 Feasts collectively provide a blueprint for the 1st and 2nd comings of Jesus Christ. Both the Historical and Prophetic aspects of each feast will be presented, along with the Jewish and Christian meanings of each feast.

The seven Jewish feasts, which God gave to ancient Israel, help unlock the entire Bible. They were not feasts as we think of them but were structured around the sacrificial altar to worship God. The Jewish people have celebrated these feasts, in one form or another, for 3,500 years, totally unaware they are rehearsing future events that point to the Messiah. It is unfortunate that Christians rarely celebrate the feasts or understand their significance. The feasts reveal Gods divine seven-thousand-year plan of salvation for mankind. Each feast is celebrated on the same day each year, to remind of a special time in the history of Israel. They reveal a record of atonement in the Old Testament and point to redemption in the New Testament. The seven feasts paint a beautiful picture of Gods plan of salvation through Christ, His Son. They point to the soon return of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and the glorious future reign of the Messiah. Christians refer to Him as Jesus Christ, while messianic believers call Him Yeshua. Understanding the significance of the feasts encourages believers to share the good news of salvation with the lost. I pray you will be greatly blessed as you read Fulfilling the Feasts of Israel.

In the beginning... In the beginning was God... In the beginning was love... There was always love, because there was always God. In the beginning was the Holy Trinity... There has always been love – passionate love among the three Persons of the Godhead – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. There is nothing love wants more than to confer that love on someone else. God is also a God of order. The universe – the multitude of galaxies – does not fly off into space. God has set them in orbits – gravitational pull.
