The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1968, volume 2, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from August 6 through December 29, 1968. As mentioned in the preface to volume 1, from late July through the middle of November, Brother Lee visited the Far East. From July 25 through August 22 he was in Taiwan, where he was joined by over one hundred forty brothers and sisters from the United States and Canada, along with some saints from Brazil, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Denmark, and West Germany. He then visited Manila, Philippines; Singapore; Jakarta, Indonesia; and Hong Kong. There is no record of his speaking in any of these places. He returned to Taipei in late September, where he remained until early November. Subsequently, he visited Toyama and Tokyo, Japan, before returning to Los Angeles in the middle of the month. There is no record of his speaking in Japan. He remained in Los Angeles for two weeks and then visited San Francisco, California; Vancouver, Canada; and Seattle, Washington, during the next two weeks. There is no record of his speaking in Vancouver or Seattle. Brother Lee remained in Los Angeles from mid-December until the end of the year. The contents of this volume are divided into eleven sections, as follows: 1. Twelve messages given during a training for young people in Taipei, Taiwan, on August 6 through 10. These messages were published previously in Chinese under the title The Lord's Recovery and the Fulfillment of God's Desire. The last two spoken messages were combined. 2. Nine messages given in co-workers' and elders' meetings in Taipei, Taiwan, on August 13 through 17, and in a farewell meeting on August 22. They are included in this volume under the title Turning to the Age of the Spirit. 3. Three messages given to the co-workers and elders in Taiwan in August and September. These messages are included in this volume under the title Fighting for the Truth. 4. Ten messages given in Taipei, Taiwan. The first seven messages were given in island-wide elders' meetings in late September, and the subsequent two messages were given in a church meeting on November 3 and a service meeting on November 4, respectively. Of the first seven messages, the second was previously published as chapter 6 of the book entitled Character. The final message, which appeared in Church News, number 15, November 1968, consists of a report concerning the background of the two messages given on November 3 and 4. The ten messages in this section were published previously in Chinese under the title The Motive, Coordination, and Function of the Lord's Serving Ones. 5. Several messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, in September and October. These messages were compiled and published as a single message in The Ministry of the Word, number 211, January 1969. This message is included in this volume under the title The Practice of the Pray-reading Meeting. 6. Four messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, from October 19 through 22. These messages are published in this volume under the title Gospel Messages. 7. Five messages given in Los Angeles, California, from November 22 through 24. These messages are included in this volume under the title Growing in Life and Serving the Lord for the Building Up of the Church as His Testimony. The final two messages were combined. 8. Fifteen messages given in San Francisco, California, from November 28 through December 1. These messages are included in this volume under the title Various Meetings in San Francisco. 9. Eight messages given in Los Angeles, California, on December 19 through 21. These messages are published in this volume under the title Speaking Christ to Build Up the Church for the Accomplishment of God's Eternal Purpose. 10. Thirteen messages given in Los Angeles, California, from November 17 through December 29. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1973-1974, volume 2, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from October 4, 1973, through February 11, 1975. Brother Lee's travel in 1973 through the third week in March 1974 is described in the preface to The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1973-1974, volume 1. In the last week of March 1974 Brother Lee ministered in Spokane, Washington. By the first of April 1974 Brother Lee had moved from Los Angeles to Anaheim, California, and he began his ministry in Anaheim at that time. Until the end of the period covered by the contents of this volume, Brother Lee ministered mainly in Anaheim. The contents of this volume are divided into twelve sections, as follows: 1. Twenty-four messages given in Houston, Texas; Atlanta, Georgia; and New York City from December 21, 1973, through January 6, 1974. These messages were originally published in volume 13, numbers 2, 3, and 4; and volume 14, numbers 1, 2, and 3 of The Stream magazine and were later published as a book entitled The Wonderful Christ in the Canon of the New Testament. They are included in this volume under the same title. 2. Two messages given in Los Angeles, California, on October 4 and December 16, 1973. The first message was previously published in a booklet entitled The Six Marys. The two messages are included in this volume under the title Various Meetings in Los Angeles. 3. This brief word of fellowship was previously published in volume 20, number 1 of The Stream magazine and is included in this volume under the title Life. 10. Three messages given in Anaheim, California, from August 18 through an uncertain date in December 1974. They are published in this volume under the title Fellowship with Elders and Responsible Ones. 11. Twelve messages given in Anaheim and Huntington Beach, California, from November 11 through December 15, 1974. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1969, volume 2, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from April 4 through August 9, 1969. As mentioned in the preface to volume 1, in early April Brother Lee made a brief visit to Waco, Texas, and at the beginning of May he visited San Francisco. At the end of May he traveled to Albuquerque, New Mexico; and then to Erie, Pennsylvania; Toronto, Canada; and Erie, Pennsylvania, a second time. Regrettably, there is no record of Brother Lee's speaking in his first visit to Erie and in his visit to Toronto. He returned to Los Angeles at the beginning of July and remained there until the end of August. The contents of this volume are divided into nine sections, as follows: 1. Six messages given in Waco, Texas, on April 4 through 6. These messages are included in this section under the title Experiencing and Enjoying the All-inclusive, Compound Spirit for the Building Up of the Church as God's Dwelling Place. The recording of one of the six messages appears to have been lost. 2. Seven messages given in San Francisco, California, on May 2 through 4. They are included in this volume under the title Praising God with Christ as the Content by Our Experiencing and Enjoying Him. 3. Nine messages given in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from May 31 through June 5. These messages are included in this volume under the title Practicing the Church Life by Exercising the Spirit. 4. Two messages given in Erie, Pennsylvania, on June 28. These messages were given near the end of a longer conference that began on June 19. Regrettably, there is no record of Brother Lee's speaking from June 19 through 27. The two recorded messages are included in this section under the title TheRecovery of the Local Churches with the Sevenfold Spirit. 5. Ten messages given in Los Angeles, California, on July 4 through 13. They were originally published in The Stream, volume 7, number 4, November 1, 1969; and volume 8, number 1, February 1, 1970; and number 2, May 1, 1970, under the title The Seven Spirits for the Local Churches. 6. Eight messages given in Los Angeles, California, on July 4 through 12, 1969. They were originally published in The Stream, volume 8, number 2, May 1, 1970; number 3, August 1, 1970; and number 4, November 1, 1970, under the title The Recovery of God's House and God's City. 7. In this issue we will continue four lines of ministry. The first line--The History of the Lord's Recovery--contains chapters 5 through 8 of The Exercise and Practice of the God-ordained Way, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1989. These chapters cover how to carry out a successful contact with the sinners, the glory and joy of the believers in bearing fruit, being flexible in the way of reaching people in gospel preaching, and the unit of God's salvation.The second line--Words for New Believers--contains chapters 1 through 4 of The Four Crucial Elements of the Bible--Christ, the Spirit, Life, and the Church, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1984. These chapters cover the crucial elements of the Bible, then Christ, and then the Spirit.The third line--Maturing in Life--contains chapters 55 and 56 of Perfecting Training, which are in volume 1 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1980. These chapters cover the Triune God and our regenerated human spirit and the mysterious and abstract way of the leading of the Spirit. This line then continues with chapters 1 and 2 of a new book, Practical Lessons on the Experience of Life, which are in volume 4 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1964. These chapters cover the experience of regeneration.The fourth line--The High Peak of the Divine Revelation--contains chapter 7 of The Issue of the Dispensing of the Processed Trinity and the Transmitting of the Transcending Christ, which is in volume 2 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1993. This chapter is a concluding word to this book. This line then continues with chapters 1 through 3 of a new book, Crystallization-study of Song of Songs, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1994–1997. These chapters cover pursuing Christ for satisfaction, fellowshipping in the inner chambers of Christ, and being transformed and perfected in the church life.

The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1984, volume 1, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from January 1 through December 16, 1984. One message included in this volume was given in 1991. In 1984 Brother Lee spoke eighty-two messages that were published in Life-study of Mark, Life-study of Luke, and Life-study of Acts. These Life-study messages are not included in The Collected Works of Witness Lee. After spending the first few days of 1984 in Irving, Texas, Brother Lee returned to Anaheim, California, and remained there until the end of February. He then traveled to Brazil and spent most of March ministering there. At the end of March he returned from Brazil to Anaheim and remained there until the middle of April. During the last two weeks in April, Brother Lee traveled to Stuttgart, Germany, and on his return to the United States he visited New York City; Washington, D.C.; and Newton, Massachusetts, during the month of May. At the end of May he ministered in Irving, and in the first few days in June he visited Denver, Colorado. At the end of June Brother Lee returned to Anaheim and remained there until the first week in October. From the middle of October until the middle of November, Brother Lee traveled to the Far East and ministered in Tokyo, Japan; Seoul, South Korea; Taipei, Taiwan; and Quezon City, Philippines. He returned to Anaheim for a few days in the middle of November, and near the end of November he traveled to Irving, where he remained until the end of the year. The contents of this volume are divided into fifteen sections, as follows: 1. Four messages given in Irving, Texas, on January 1 and December 2, 8, and 16. These messages are included in this volume under the title Miscellaneous Messages Given in Irving. 2. Two messages given in Anaheim, California, on January 7 and 14. These messages are included in this volume under the title Living Christ and Pursuing the Truth for the Building Up of the Church. 3. Five messages given in Anaheim, California, on January 8 through March 25. In 1982 Brother Lee spoke eighty-six messages that were published in Life-study of 2 Corinthians, Life-study of Exodus, Life-study of 1 Thessalonians, and Life-study of 2 Thessalonians. The Life-study messages are not included in The Collected Works of Witness Lee. During the first three weeks of the year Brother Lee remained in Anaheim, California. He then visited Berkeley, California, on a weekend and returned to Anaheim, where he remained through the first ten days of February. He then spent a day in Vancouver, Canada, visited Seattle, Washington, for a weekend, and returned to Anaheim in the middle of the month. He ministered in Anaheim until the end of May. On the last weekend in May he ministered in Dallas, Texas, and then he traveled further to spend several days in New York City; Cleveland, Ohio; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Denver, Colorado, before returning to Anaheim in the middle of June. This issue of The Ministry of the Word contains the first eight of the sixteen messages given during the fall 2022 term of the full-time training in Anaheim, California. The general subject of this series of messages is "Living in the Reality of the Body of Christ by Learning Christ as the Reality Is in Jesus." The phrase learning Christ as the reality is in Jesus is based on Ephesians 4:20-21. The reality...in Jesus refers to the actual condition of the life of Jesus that is recorded in the four Gospels. The actual condition of the life of Christ, who is God, is His living God in the four Gospels. Everything He did was in God, with God, by God, for God, through God, and to God. God was in His living, and He was one with God.The desire of God's heart is that the reality of the Body of Christ, which is "the reality…in Jesus" (Eph. 4:21), would be duplicated in the many members of Christ's Body by the Spirit of reality to become the reality of the Body of Christ, the highest peak in God's economy. He wants His God-man living seen in the four Gospels to be reproduced in us. To learn Christ means that we learn Christ experientially, enjoyably, and subjectively. The One we are enjoying is the Lord as the Spirit of reality in our spirit. The Spirit guides us into all the realities of God's eternal economy. The Lord wants the actual condition of His life to be reproduced in each one of us as members of the Body individually as well as in us all corporately. The corporate living of the perfected God-man, the reality of the Body of Christ, is the reality that is in Jesus.Every detail, aspect, and feature of the New Jerusalem is actually the reality in Jesus in its consummate state. Thus, Christ wants the life that He lived in the four Gospels duplicated and reproduced in us until we become the New Jerusalem. The Lord's recovery is to build up Zion as the reality of the Body of Christ by living out and working out the New Jerusalem. To live out the New Jerusalem is to become the New Jerusalem, and to work out the New Jerusalem is to build the New Jerusalem.The Announcements section at the end of this issue contains a list of upcoming conferences and trainings hosted by Living Stream Ministry and a website link for information related to similar events in Europe.
