Charlie Mullins, a divorced executive at a large company, falls in love with a woman who he initially doesn't know could destroy his entire career. Charlie is convinced that she is his true soul mate and will not give her up even though it would mean the loss of his job and career if it became public knowledge. The company he works for has military defense contracts and he would not be given a security clearance once his relationship to Gina was known. He will have to choose between the woman and his career. While he faces this choice, a couple of busybody housewives from the small town in which he was raised and still lives have taken to stalking him because of his secret relationship and their interest in marrying him off to a local woman. They feel threatened by his behavior, and their response threatens his ability to keep the relationship secret while he devises a plan to marry the woman of his dreams. If the relationship becomes known before Charlie is ready and has worked out his plan, all will be lost. About the Author This is Jim Wygand's third book and his first novel. Jim is a business consultant who has worked in and with large corporations during his long and varied career. In his first novel, Jim has pitted parochial small town gossips against the desire for privacy of a native son and the inner workings and politics of a large multinational corporation. The admixture could prove disastrous to Charlie Mullins and his professional and personal plans.

I'm a millionaire plumber. I went from being a North London street urchin to owning London's biggest independent plumbing firm, which I built myself from scratch. We turn over more than ?20 million a year, and we're growing. The country's best plumbers and heating engineers queue up to work for me. We are the plumbers of choice for London's high society - movie stars and celebrities of all kinds. I count David Cameron, George Osborne and Boris Johnson among my friends. How did that happen? In this frank and absorbing memoir, Charlie Mullins describes his meteoric rise from an impoverished childhood in London, to owner of one of the most renowned and respected businesses in the UK - Pimlico Plumbers. He reveals how he survived his tough upbringing, became a parent himself and had to bid a painful farewell to his first passion - boxing. In this honest and moving account, Charlie explains how he worked his way up from apprentice, through sheer hard graft and determination, to conquer the plumbing world - and met a few interesting characters in the process. Larger than life, and full of humour, this is a valuable insight into how to build a business and the courage required to make it a success.

Roughly 80% of the world’s population now lives in urban areas. Cities offer anonymity to violent criminals as well as to those who value privacy. New digital technologies allow purveyors of hatred and assorted smut to enter our homes and pedophiles use the Internet to bait our children and victimize them. This book is designed to provide you with a tested methodology for being secure in the concrete jungle without slipping into paranoia or denial. You don’t have to be a just another crime statistic! About the Author Jim Wygand has provided seminars on personal security to companies, diplomats, government security personnel, schools, families and individuals for the past 18 years. He has been involved in the negotiation of several kidnaps and has written numerous articles and monographs on the issue of personal security. His method for avoiding violent crime is based on the same techniques employed by law enforcement, CIA, FBI, diplomatic and military personnel, to recognize and deal with possible danger. He has a strong personal reason for writing this book and he wants YOU and YOUR FAMILY to be safe. Jim Wygand is also the author of a novel entitled The Story of Charlie Mullins: The Man in the Middle.

Forget the hype and the sexy headlines, this is where you’ll make your fortune. In this revealing new book Jamie Waller, entrepreneur and self-made multimillionaire, shows how you don’t need to come up with some amazing new invention or app, or raise millions, to be a business success. What you need is hard work and determination. And you need to be looking for a business idea that is pretty unsexy if you really want to make it big. We’re talking about businesses that collect debts, sell sofas or ship goods – real, solid businesses that you probably use all the time. They won’t grab the headlines, but they can make you very, very rich. And that’s what makes unsexy so attractive. These are ordinary businesses made extraordinary by the people behind them and their commitment to taking their businesses to the top. Jamie has spoken to 11 amazing entrepreneurs who have created just this type of business and in face-to-face interviews he uncovers the secrets to their successes and gets firsthand accounts of their compelling, and sometimes dramatic, business stories. Jamie also tells his own inspirational story, of how he took his debt collection business from nothing to £33 million, facing stabbings and having a gun pointed at him along the way.
