Straka, in which a man with no past is shanghaied onto a strange ship with a monstrous crew and launched on a disorienting and perilous journey. What if…..? After the death of JFK, Jr., the press was flooded with mesmerizing pictures of him, not to mention some rather lurid tabloid articles. The author found herself drawn into repeated, obsessive fantasies of what knowing him or having a romance with him might have been like. Ultimately, she found herself writing down one of her fantasies as a novel. She changed the names to make clear that this is entirely a work of fiction, her own fantasies, not actually about the real people who inspired her writing. She wove in her own life experiences: her son's Asperger's Syndrome, home birth, and information from a suicide prevention course. She also could not resist drawing in some pet political issues, for instance regarding abortion, pesticide spraying, and drug legalization. The result is an eminently readable romance and psychological study, which should enthrall any woman of a certain age who fantasizes about younger celebrities or anyone who is interested in Asperger's Syndrome.

ISSN: 2397-9607 Issue 303 In this 303rd issue of the Baba Indaba?s Children's Stories series, Baba Indaba narrates the story of ?TAM O? SHANTER?S RIDE?. One day, many, many years ago it was market-day in Ayr, Scotland. The farmers had come into town from all the country round about, to sell or exchange their farm produce, and buy what they needed to take home. Amongst these farmers was a man by the name of Tam o' Shanter; a good natured, happy-go-lucky sort of person, but, I am sorry to say, he enjoyed his tipple a bit too much. Now Tam's wife, Kate, was a grievous scold; always nagging and faultfinding, and I fear making it far easier for Tam to do wrong than if she had treated him more kindly. Because of this, Tam was happier away from home; and this day had escaped his wife's scolding tongue, mounted his good gray mare Meg, and galloped off as fast as he could go to Market. Tam finished his buying and trading by lunchtime and he called in on his friends in the tavern, to share a meal and "Whet his Whistle". Well after the sun had set and the moon was high in the sky, the publican called ?Time Gentleman Please? Tam sauntered out of the pub, maybe that should be, wobbled out of the pub and after a while managed to find his mare, Meg. Then with great difficulty he mounted her and pointed her South out of the town towards home. And that?s when all the trouble started??. What sort of trouble you ask? Well, you?ll have to download and read the story to find out for yourselves. Needless to say the story of Tam?s troubles was spread all over the county and talked about for years so that it became a well-known legend. Many years after Tam ride, a famous Scottish Poet, Robert Burns, wrote a now famous poem about ?Tam O? Shanter?s Ride? which is also included in this little book. BUY ANY 4 BABA INDABA CHILDREN?S STORIES FOR ONLY $1 33% of the profit from the sale of this book will be donated to charities. INCLUDES LINKS TO DOWNLOAD 8 FREE STORIES Each issue also has a "WHERE IN THE WORLD - LOOK IT UP" section, where young readers are challenged to look up a place on a map somewhere in the world. The place, town or city is relevant to the story. HINT - use Google maps. Baba Indaba is a fictitious Zulu storyteller who narrates children's stories from around the world. Baba Indaba translates as "Father of Stories".

From the early years of our nation, the coasting schooner served as the primary means of hauling the cargoes that fueled the country's growth. Several thousand of these coasters once existed, but by the late 1930s, relatively few remained. Among those still in operation was the coasting schooner "Coral." Hailing from Fairhaven, Massachusetts, the "Coral" and her owner, Captain Claude S. Tucker, carried goods to ports throughout southern New England. The "Coral" hauled cargo into the twilight years of the coasting trade, long after new technologies began to replace it. Authors Robert Demanche, Donald F. Tucker and Caroline B. Tucker use first-person accounts of crew members and captains to trace the life of the "Coral" and Captain Tucker. Set sail to discover the story of the "Coral" through her glory days until the 1938 hurricane left her beyond repair, hastening the end of an era.

In What Really Happened, Kevin Groenhagen presents the facts concerning Bill Clinton's actual record on Iraq and terrorism. It's a record that is far different from what Clinton Inc, and their allies in the media have been telling the American people during the past eight years. The facts Clinton Inc. has attempted to rewrite include, but are not limited to, the following: * The Clinton administration in 1998 claimed that al Qaeda reached an understanding with the government of Iraq that al Qaeda would not work against that government and that on particular projects, specifically including weapons development, al Qaeda would work cooperatively with the Government of Iraq. * Secretary of Defense William Cohen in July 2000 said protecting the American people from the threat posed by axis of evil (Iran, Iraq, and North Korea) was the most important issue to address. * Bill Clinton's policies vis-a-vis Iraq ultimately led to 9/11 and other messages with no words.
