Excerpt from The Theme of Hamlet a Paper: A Paper; Read Before the Fortnightly Club of Rochester, N. Y It would seem to be the duty of one who pro poses to discuss the theme of Hamlet; to begin with an apology. Every one who rises to speak in a debate which has continued for over one hundred years, ought humbly to crave the indulgence of his audience and preface his remarks with a declaration of his willingness to vote in favor of a motion for the previous question. This I do. My confidence, in submitting these investigations, is inspired by the trust that my readers will be like minded to a writer in Blackwood's Magazine who says We ask not for a picture of the whole landscape of the soul nor for a guide who shall point out all its won ders. But we are glad to listen to every one who has traveled through the kingdom of Shakespeare. Some thing interesting there must be in the humblest jour nal, and we turn with equal pleasure from the converse of those who have climbed over_ the magnificence of the highest mountains there, to the lowlier tales of less ambitious pilgrims who have sat on the green and sunny knoll beneath the whispering tree and by the music of the gentle rivulet. Hamlet written by William Shakespeare and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-12-04 with categories.

A morbid tragedy about mortality, madness, and murder, Hamlet follows the eponymous Prince of Denmark as he plots to avenge his father's murder at the hands of Claudius, Hamlet's uncle and the current king, who married Hamlet's mother, Gertrude. Haunted by a ghost and arguing with his girlfriend Ophelia, Hamlet struggles to take revenge, as delay and feigned insanity preoccupy him. Rounding out the cast are other famous figures, like Horatio, and Polonius, and of course, the Gravedigger, who finds the skull of "poor Yorick." Perhaps Shakespeare's most popular play, Hamlet.
