Introduction To Polyphasic Dispersed Systems Theory written by Jacques Thierie and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-12-30 with Technology & Engineering categories.
This book introduces a new paradigm in system description and modelling. The author shows the theoretical and practical successes of his approach, which involves replacing a traditional uniform description with a polyphasic description. This change of perspective reveals new fluxes that are cryptic in the classical description. Several case studies are given in this book, which is of interest of those working with biotechnology and green chemistry.

Topological Methods For Delay And Ordinary Differential Equations written by Pablo Amster and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-08-12 with Mathematics categories.
This volume explores the application of topological techniques in the study of delay and ordinary differential equations with a particular focus on continuum mechanics. Chapters, written by internationally recognized researchers in the field, present results on problems of existence, multiplicity localization, bifurcation of solutions, and more. Topological methods are used throughout, including degree theory, fixed point index theory, and classical and recent fixed point theorems. A wide variety of applications to continuum mechanics are provided as well, such as chemostats, non-Newtonian fluid flow, and flows in phase space. Topological Methods for Delay and Ordinary Differential Equations will be a valuable resource for researchers interested in differential equations, functional analysis, topology, and the applied sciences.

Methods In Microbiology written by and has been published by Academic Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1970-02-28 with Science categories.
Traditional methods of cultivation of micro-organisms provide little control over the ever-changing physical and chemical environments to which growing populations are exposed. The need for a variety of highly standardized conditions of growth and the selection of several new parameters to measure growth or cultural progress has been recognized. This volume describes the measurement and control of the physical and chemical factors that affect or indicate microbial activities, usually in homogeneous liquid culture. An introduction to the general principles of chemical and physical measurements and to the automatic recording and control of them is presented. Some chapters focus on the theoretical and practical aspects of techniques of continuous cultivation in the laboratory with indications of its application to research problems.

Dynamical Systems And Their Applications In Biology written by Shigui Ruan and has been published by American Mathematical Soc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2003-01-01 with Science categories.
This volume is based on the proceedings of the International Workshop on Dynamical Systems and their Applications in Biology held at the Canadian Coast Guard College on Cape Breton Island (Nova Scotia, Canada). It presents a broad picture of the current research surrounding applications of dynamical systems in biology, particularly in population biology. The book contains 19 papers and includes articles on the qualitative and/or numerical analysis of models involving ordinary, partial, functional, and stochastic differential equations. Applications include epidemiology, population dynamics, and physiology. The material is suitable for graduate students and research mathematicians interested in ordinary differential equations and their applications in biology. Also available by Ruan, Wolkowicz, and Wu is Differential Equations with Applications to Biology, Volume 21 in the AMS series Fields Institute Communications.

Applied Nonautonomous And Random Dynamical Systems written by Tomás Caraballo and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-01-31 with Mathematics categories.
This book offers an introduction to the theory of non-autonomous and stochastic dynamical systems, with a focus on the importance of the theory in the Applied Sciences. It starts by discussing the basic concepts from the theory of autonomous dynamical systems, which are easier to understand and can be used as the motivation for the non-autonomous and stochastic situations. The book subsequently establishes a framework for non-autonomous dynamical systems, and in particular describes the various approaches currently available for analysing the long-term behaviour of non-autonomous problems. Here, the major focus is on the novel theory of pullback attractors, which is still under development. In turn, the third part represents the main body of the book, introducing the theory of random dynamical systems and random attractors and revealing how it may be a suitable candidate for handling realistic models with stochasticity. A discussion of future research directions serves to round out the coverage.
