Yea though I Walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death had to be written. It is a heart-wrenching account of a woman’s road through her own personal anguish and back, one that could be written only by the person who experienced it. It describes how she lived through the death of her infant daughter, a fire that totally destroyed her home and its contents, the suicide of her 21-year-old son, the killing of her 25-year-old son, the subsequent trauma, called Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) that followed, and her return to stability. Such a listing doesn’t capture Chris’s journey. Though not a professional writer, she has allowed us to enter her world, with all of its twists and turns, moments of sadness and despair, and finally, the peace that comes from emerging on the other side. She has a guileless honesty that won’t let you go. No doubt thousands of people have shared some of Chris’s experiences— few, if any, to her degree—but fewer still have her ability to capture that experience in a way that makes her experiences their own. Kevin Burne, Ph.D.

The Valley Of The Shadow Of Death written by John Cox and has been published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-12-30 with Biography & Autobiography categories.

In 2003, Cox was leading a normal life and experiencing no health problems. He had a successful law practice, was actively involved in sports such as tennis and golf, and was an avid outdoorsman. He and his wife were empty nesters and now had time to travel. As he was undergoing his annual physical checkup, he noticed the doctor listening more intently to his heartbeat. After several tests, the doctor delivered a shocking diagnosis"""You have a serious heart murmur caused by a defective valve that can only be treated through open heart surgery." During the next several weeks as he prepared for his surgery, his faith was challenged, and his prayer life shifted into a higher gear. Days after his surgery, Cox awoke in his dimly lit hospital room, not knowing where he was or why he was in the hospital. As his wife explained to him his situation and condition, he lay back into his bed, and as tears filled his eyes, he thanked God for answered prayers and drifted off to sleep reciting Psalm 23. This experience brought to life verse 4 of the most quoted Psalm and ushered the author safely through his valley of the shadow of death, which in his case was a serious illness. All human beings will face and endure the difficulties of many sorts and proportions. Ultimately, we will all face physical death. The Christian, by virtue of his or her faith, will not go through these trials alone. God is near and will walk with us through whatever valley we may find ourselves in. It is when we are face to face with the shadow of death that we must deepen our trust in God and find comfort in his presence.

"This is a beautifully written, insightful chronicle of a young girl's Holocaust survival. Though very private and personal, it nevertheless captures the common torments of children living through this disastrous civilizational breakdown. What makes this book unique is that the author pulls the reader into the story. We get to know her parents and other memorable characters for the kind of people they were. There is an immediacy in the writing that almost makes the reader a participant in the daily struggles to keep alive. We get an honest look at the relationships between men and women on the edge of annihilation and how children coped with these unusual alliances. This emotionally powerful yet intellectually lucid work stands out within the Holocaust literature. Students and others will greatly benefit as the author guides the reader, setting forth the political and historical context in which the action unfolds." -Stefanie Seltzer, President of the World Federation of Jewish Child Survivors of the Holocaust "The story of the relentless hunt of a Jewish child in Nazi Europe haunts the reader long after the last page has been turned This gripping memoir illuminates the fearsome experiences of a Holocaust child survivor with the intelligence and wisdom of an adult's retrospection." -Henryk Grynberg, Author of The Jewish Wars and The Victory, Children of Zion, and Drohobycz, Drohobycz: True Tales from the Holocaust and Life After.

This book is a compelling and true story, a must read story about a man who died, then slipped into a coma, and by a miracle came back to life and back from the other side of death. About being given a second chance in life, and what I have learned from it. That is; a choice between spending eternity in either Heaven or Hell. To tell everyone what awaits all of us upon death. This could be one of the most important books you ever read, I hope to encourage all who believe in Jesus, and if these words could just reach one lost soul, then my purpose is fulfilled. This is real events: It is riveting and encouraging yet fearful. The answer to what everyone seeks is revealed in this book. What happens when we die, what will we see, where will we go?
