Words Of Life written by Timothy Ward and has been published by InterVarsity Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-06-18 with Religion categories.

Throughout Christian history, the overwhelmingly predominant view of the Bible has been that it is itself the living and active word of God. In this book Timothy Ward explains and defends what we are really saying when we trust and proclaim, as we must, that the Bible is God's word. In particular he describes the nature of the relationship between the living God and Scripture. He examines why, in order to worship God faithfully, we need to pay close attention to the Bible; why, in order to be faithful disciples of Jesus, the Word-made-flesh, we need to base our lives on the words of the Bible; and why, in order to keep in step with the Holy Spirit, we need to trust and obey what the Bible says. Ward offers an understanding of the nature of Scripture under three main headings. A biblical outline shows that the words of the Bible form a significant part of God's action in the world. A theological outline focuses on the relationship of Scripture with each of the persons of the Trinity. And a doctrinal outline examines the 'attributes' of Scripture. A final chapter explores some significant areas in which the doctrine of Scripture should be applied. Ward offers us an excellent, lucid exposition of the nature and function of Scripture, expressed in a form appropriate for the tweny-first century, grounded in the relevant scholarship, and standing firmly in line with the best of the theological traditions.

The power of God’s word’ is a faith, Christian based book that consist of ten chapters which are spiritually discerned from the bible as the reference, and my experience and my personal walk with God aided me in writing this book. The book is to help believers and non-believers comprehend the significance of God’s word and to understand the kind of life that God designed for his people, it will also cause people to live a life of abundant satisfaction than living a life of pain and stress, I also outlined the purpose of God through the illustration of the word. The book will lead nonbelievers to salvation as they study it and realize what a life God has freely given. I believe that God wants our relationship with him enhanced and grown, and so this book will help the world to grow with God in their walk. The biblical references made in this book are quoted from the King James Version and New International Version. I believe that this book will bring a clear meaning of the scriptures that everyone who will read it will grasp the meaning. This book will help people to raise their self-esteem and develop an unstoppable mega faith to demoralize the enemy’s weapon. I have a strong believe that this book will help release destinies.

Words Of Life written by Donald G. Hanway D.Min. and has been published by iUniverse this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2009-06 with Sermons, American categories.

Father Don Hanway defines preaching as "an attempt to link the words of Holy Scripture with the lives of the hearers in such a way that both the words and the lives are illuminated." He demonstrates the definition in this collection of 40 sermons from the last fifteen of his 22 years ministering next to a state university in the nation's heartland. This volume was produced in response to entreaty from a few of the many who benefited from and contributed to the preacher's continuing education. He selected the sermons on the basis of originality, variety of season and occasion, centrality of the message of Good News for all people, and in many cases, reference to movies for illustrative purposes. Preaching is a privilege, as well as a demanding profession. Church-goers seek an authentic word of hope and challenge that will help them make sense of their lives in a complex and fast-moving world. Respecting the time and intelligence of his listeners, and following the three-year lectionary of the Church, Dr. Hanway's sermons are lucid and concise, ranging over many topics, and infused with his personal witness to timeless truth and the reality of God's presence in our lives.
