“Jeff, I couldn’t put it down. Started reading and couldn’t stop. Not a conventional approach, but your subject matter really matters. Your personal stories win the reader over, conclusions were solid and the presentation intriguing. Thanks for the opportunity to be an early reader and fan! Really good, Jeff.” “I think you nailed it, Jeff. Your passion shows through. You won’t sell many copies, though, maybe to a few serious Christians.” There is no fear of God in this land. Without a proper fear of God straying is inevitable in our practices and our beliefs. What was once staunchly admonished is now tacitly accepted and important doctrines are treated like casual recommendations. If the Word of God is so serious and profound, why do contemporary Christians treat it so playfully?

True religion confronts earth with heaven and brings eternity to bear upon time. The messenger of Christ, though he speaks from God, must also, as the Quakers used to say, "speak to the condition" of his hearers; otherwise he will speak a language known only to himself. His message must be not only timeless but timely. He must speak to his own generation. The message of this book does not grow out of these times but it is appropriate to them. It is called forth by a condition which has existed in the Church for some years and is steadily growing worse. I refer to the loss of the concept of majesty from the popular religious mind. The Church has surrendered her once lofty concept of God and has substituted for it one so low, so ignoble, as to be utterly unworthy of thinking, worshipping men. This she has done not deliberately, but little by little and without her knowledge; and her very unawareness only makes her situation all the more tragic.

The reason for writing this book can be found in 2 Corinthians 11:28 - "...my deep concern for the churches." I started to see more and more religion and culture creeping into the churches of today. And, it has not slowed down. I have seen the authority of Christ and his word taking a "back seat" to worldly standards, humanistic philosophy, and materialistic desires. It is clearly evident, even among many well-known leaders in the "Christian" community. The problem is that the majority of the people in the churches are hanging on every word and being influenced by their false teaching. I pray that God will use this undertaking to challenge and help people to search the Scriptures and draw close to the Christ of the Bible. I was not raised in a Christian home, but rather in a religious home. There was an atmosphere of "morality," but it was subjective. Then, in 1989, Jesus Christ became real and life started to change. There was a difference between religion and Christianity. It was not about how "good" man could be, but how much God has already done for man, in and through the finished work of Jesus Christ. There was no more of man trying to reach God through good works, (religion). It was all about God reaching down to man with his free gift (Christianity). What a powerful, gracious, and merciful, love that can never be conquered, a love that stoops. It is not about me, but about the One who saved me. His love for me compels me to share all He has given with all who desire to know Him.

We all experience fear in life, and that fear is real, but living in fear is to live less than the abundant life God has to offer us. See how getting to know God through God’s Word can take away fears and bring the joy, peace, and love of God that we were meant to have in life. See God protect and provide through fear and grow one’s ability to experience His peace and presence in whatever lies ahead. Using Scripture and personal experiences, see how you too can combat the lies of the enemy that create fear and, instead, walk in the joy and peace that Jesus make available to us.

"The account of Jesus calming the storm (Mark 4:35-41) is an impressive demonstration of Christ's power over nature and His ability to comfort us in the storm. It showcases our need to call on Him in prayer and place our trust and reliance on Him. Fearful To Fearless brings together those passages that demonstrate or direct us to not be afraid, to not worry or be anxious, to look to Christ for strength and comfort, and be transformed to have a worshipful fear and awe of God."--Back cover.

Meditations on the Psalms helping women to express their feelings and grow in their faith. Many of us suppress our feelings because we’re worried they are ungodly. Others of us are so led by our emotions that we let them dominate everything, including our faith. In these honest, personal and uplifting meditations on 24 selected psalms, Courtney Reissig looks at emotions we all experience, ranging from shame, anxiety, and anger through to gratitude, hope, and joy. For each, she shows how the psalms give us permission to acknowledge how we feel before God, and how they can help us to use those feelings productively and faithfully. This inspiring book will give women a language to cry out to God in order to help them process their feelings, as well as help them to grow in their faith. Can be used as a daily devotion.

Believers know that when we die we enter heaven and will spend eternity there with God and the saints who have gone before us. But what actually happens in heaven? What are we going to be doing there? Won't it get boring at some point? According to Scripture, a large part of our experience of heaven will be a continual revealing of God's glory. Not just his glory in the moment, but during all of time. The mysteries of providence, the hidden movements of God throughout history, and the forgotten and unnoted works of even the most obscure of God's people will be unveiled so that we can see how wise, loving, gracious, and powerful our God is. And though we will experience perfection in heaven, we will never be omniscient, which means we will always be learning more about God's glory, inspiring us to return joyful praise and thanksgiving. If your vision of heaven has been limited to clouds and harps and angels, it's time to expand that view with the truth found in this biblically based look at the afterlife.
